Re: [AI] AccessIndia Digest, Vol 57, Issue 200
I would request the accessindia manager/administrators to remove this kind of blasphamey and ugly behaviour by members posts against any NGO, any organisation that is working for the PWD/VI etc. which is against the rules of this group I am shocked that respected people whom I have admired for years are behaving like this. I have lost all respect and as one of the thousands of volunteers who are working for over two years now to provide peer support and admirably assisting visually challenged, low vision to cope up with life and living.I am ashamed that people are not able to be tolerant. There seems to be a cozy elite group on the virtual world with a lot of ego. Kindly do not hurt the feelings of hundreds of blind/VI who are not so lucky to reach the level you have reached. If this kind of mud slinging takes place, you are out of touch with the pulse of the community. RETINA INDIA is a MOVEMENT for the betterment oF VISUALLY CHALLENGED, LOW VISION AND THEIR FAMILIES AND PEER GROUPS Kindly reexamine yourself and stop these kinds of derogatory remarks. If you want to attend the conference with your escort please let me know I will provide you a flight ticket and a flight for YOUR escort. But just because some did not get you comforts don't degrade an organisation which is the pulse of India now. RI are struggling to put things together and this is shocking that respected people fail to understand and work for the common cause. For your kind info it is not the doctors, it is the patients who are backbone of RETINA INDIA which has board members who are patients unltike many other such organisattions. thanks to our GREAT DOCTOR. People who look for persoNal benefits and vested interests are ruling the roost and when they dont get benefit the indulge in such bad bahaviour which even a kg student can make out. In the first place, I suggest you stop using RBI email and behave yourself. Or else you will come to reap the fruits of your bad character. KINDLY DO NOT belittle thousands of other visually challenged persons and volunteers. I sincerely request accessindia to delete these messages immediately to bring sanity to the respected Egroup. I have seen many people laughing at a fumbling blind person. Many people here asked me that why don't you people get some sighted people with you. Moreover, when you are ready to ask some unknown person's help in between, why do you think having escort is not preferable? There is a limit to everything, so as your independence. Your independence should not put an end to your life no? Therefore as Mr. Rajesh said, it is better to have an escort at least in a new surroundings when you can afford one; Untill you have a good device which caters the need of sight to a large extent. I don't think that any senses are now able to substitute the sight unless you try something different like echolocation. I don't know the efficiency of echolocation in extremely noisy places. If any one is expert in echolocation, please do contact me off the list. Thanks in advance. Dear Moderator I believe you have gone through the trailing mail of David in entirety. So, the beginning of your mail, with the words, Agreed sounded preposterous to me... Anyway, I don't believe you agree with entire contents of his mail. At David: Please note I am not a person to take such threatening mails lightly. So, do seek the protection of your retina India group in your future so as to be safe as I am not going to deal with that group now. And yes, please provide the flight tickets you have mentioned so that I may confront the misdemeanors of RI in person publicly. Which e mail I use is my sole prerogative, and you have no authority to direct me. As per my character, yes, I am a scoundrel of the first sort, any problems? -Original Message- From: accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of David Bodapati Sent: Friday, September 23, 2011 2:37 PM To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: Re: [AI] AccessIndia Digest, Vol 57, Issue 200 I would request the accessindia manager/administrators to remove this kind of blasphamey and ugly behaviour by members posts against any NGO, any organisation that is working for the PWD/VI etc. which is against the rules of this group I am shocked that respected people whom I have admired for years are behaving like this.
