Re: [AI] Accessible version of internet explorer

2012-10-07 Thread Vamshi. G
HI friends,

Just installed Jaws 13.0.1005, and could get rid of this problem.
Since this problem wasn't there in firefox, thought it was browser
specific. Thanks all for the help.

I'm using IE 8. Are there any accessibility issues in IE 9?

Certainly, IE9 has a built-in download manager which can be accessed at any
time by pressing Control+J and take any action like, to pause an ongoing
download, resume the same, and copy the download link straight away!

IE9 has a rare advantage. It allows continuation of download. I recently
downloaded sp1 of windows 7 which is 537 mb in five or six installments
using my c5 handset. When the download option comes up, yu have to go to the
notification bar using alt+n.

I have am using jaws 13 with IE9 and it seems to be working fine so far.
However, I don't have much time for surfing these days.

Hi,

this seams to me a bug of jaws, and not the browser. Therefore i wouldn't
recommend u to upgrade your browser, because in i e 9 u wil not get good
experience. For instance jaws will not announce progress bar i.e. How much
the page is downloaded. In addition, the download process also seams to be
tricky.
However, these r my personal views. This entirely dipents on u whether u
would want to upgrade or not.

Dear friends,

Is internet explorer 9 fully accessible? I am using IE 8 in which I'm
facing a strange problem. For example, if I write "vamshi" in a line,
and move to the letter "V", Jaws is reading "vamshi v" instead of the
letter "v". And in the message body of an e-mail, Jaws is reading the
words "message body" before every line. Will this get solved if I
move to IE 9?

Hi, although I've not really got into testing all such instances, I'm pretty
sure in my case this problem is not occurring at the Google search page,
albeit previously I'd been having this issue with Google search page too.

Re: [AI] Accessible version of internet explorer

2012-10-02 Thread Srikanth Kanuri
Vamshi, it is JAWS bug and nothing to do with browser. even on I.E 9
same issue. even the latest built of JAWS doesn't solve it. yes IE 9
is accessible and bhavesh i could download as usual.

is it troubleing you anywhere apart from the internet explorer? if not, just
delete your personalised settings by locating in to "C:\Documents and
Settings\your username\Application Data\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\13.0\Settings\enu". then, restart jaws and check out.

Hi,

this seams to me a bug of jaws, and not the browser. Therefore i
wouldn't

recommend u to upgrade your browser, because in i e 9 u wil not get good
experience. For instance jaws will not announce progress bar i.e. How
much

the page is downloaded. In addition, the download process also seams to
be

tricky.
However, these r my personal views. This entirely dipents on u whether u
would want to upgrade or not.
Thanks

bhavesh

Dear friends,

Is internet explorer 9 fully accessible? I am using IE 8 in which I'm
facing a strange problem. For example, if I write "vamshi" in a line,
and move to the letter "V", Jaws is reading "vamshi v" instead of the
letter "v". And in the message body of an e-mail, Jaws is reading the
words "message body" before every line. Will this get solved if I
move to IE 9?
