Or, could you give a step by step instruction?

Re: [AI] Adding background music to narration in GoldWave

2016-02-17 Thread mukesh jain
hello,
Voice Over mixes foreground audio contained in the clipboard with background
audio contained in the file. This effect automatically fades the background
audio in and out based on silent and non-silent regions within the
foreground audio. So Use this effect to Mix a voice recording or
narration over background music so that the music automatically
becomes quieter when the voice is speaking.

2016-02-17 Thread Renuka Warriar Edakkunni
Hello, my problem is somewhat different. When I reduce the background
noice, after saving it, the quality of the sound is reduced,
sometimes, it is not at all audible. Is there any way to reduce the
background noice without changing the voice quality?

Re: [AI] Adding background music to narration in GoldWave

2016-02-16 Thread mukesh jain
hello,
Generally, When you combine the vocal cast with music, there are
chances that the voices are trampled on by the background music. Or
worse, the voices would become muted. To overcome on these situations,
GoldWave has couple of tools that might help. Here the sixth step as
recommended comes in to picture. The sixth step indicates to the
option located under effects\volume\shape of the goldwave program.

When you mix with GoldWave, you can adjust the volume of the sound you
are adding-in (from the clipboard), but you can't change the volume of
the file
you are mixing into.

When you mix, the digital samples are literally added (summed)
together. This means you can get clipping (distortion). You can avoid
clipping by Maximizing
Volume after mixing and before saving.

AutoGain is an automatic volume control that you can apply to the
voices before mixing-in the backgoround music.

Compression* can be applied before or after mixing-in background. This
will give you a constantly-strong level.

Shape Volume can be handy for ramping up or down sections of sound.
The trick is to keep the end-points at 0dB (no change) so tha tthe
volulme doesn't
suddenly change.

There is a Voice Over effect that adjusts the background music while mixing.

This is the final option under the Volume menu is the Shape option.
When selected, the Shape Volume menu will appear. By using the mouse,
you can "bend" the line
of sound. This feature is a bit complicated to use but can be handy if
the above situation arises.

Hope this answers your question. If not clear, then get back again so
will try to simplify the same.

first open the background music which is to be added,
if u want to add the whole/part of the music, select that.
 then copy the same.
later u'll have to open the narration,
and press ctrl+m or go to edit menu and select mix.
later u'll get the time where mix should begin,
if u want to start from the beginning, make sure that duration is
 00:00:00
you can use the preview option to test before pressing ok.
use tab, locate ok, and press enter.
 hope it helps.

 Regards,
 Vidhya.

Re: [AI] Adding background music to narration in GoldWave

2016-02-13 Thread Vidhya Y
it's definitely possible.
first open the background music which is to be added,
if u want to add the whole/part of the music, select that.
then copy the same.
later u'll have to open the narration,
and press ctrl+m or go to edit menu and select mix.
later u'll get the time where mix should begin,
if u want to start from the beginning, make sure that duration is 00:00:00
you can use the preview option to test before pressing ok.
use tab, locate ok, and press enter.
hope it helps.

Regards,
Vidhya.
