let me know so that I could also purchase it. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

Glad to inform you all that Titan has started producing Braille wrist
watches. They are available in its show-rooms in metros. The watches are
in two shapes: round and square. Its price is Rs.995 per piece. The
company gives a Braille copy of instructions. I think this much cheaper
than the imported ones. They say that they have started producing such
watches on experimental basis. They will continue if the response is good.
So, let's welcome the company's move whole-heartedly and purchase it. Now
there won't be any place for the short-lived China-made talking watches.

Re: [AI] Braille Wrist Watches

2008-06-12 Thread Amit Bhatt
They are cheaper but then one has to see differences also.
I am also happy getting this news. At least, there will be some variation in
the market for us people too.
Can anyone throw some light on the complete features of this wrist watch?

Thanks,

Amit Bhatt

HMT is not producing Braille watches for so long so there is no point of
saying about prize of HMT. We should go there and should explore the new
watch lonched by Titen rather than making comments on list.

Re: [AI] Braille Wrist Watches

2008-06-12 Thread Samuel Rodrigues
Yes,
it is not difficult.
you need not know braille.
I am using a watch, which was gifted from a person from poland, and I am
using one.
It is simple, you will understand once they explain.
I would like to explain it, But may be it may be difficult for me.
There are 12 hours, so for every 3 6 9 and 12, they have 2 dots.
and for the other hours, there is only 1 dot.
So, it is easy to recognise. Some watches have 3 dots, which I have one.
That was also gifted, but that is a old pocket watch, I could say, since it
has a chain, which you use to tie in olden days.
But it is a silver watch.
Any one know about silver watches? I mean, the cover and the all around is
silver.
Regards Samuel
