This is to inform all of you that I Renuka academy for the disabled
Rangaswamy  a technology trainer by profession am organizing a two
month basic computer training for persons with visual impairment
Duration of the training:3months(Monday to Friday) 5Pm-7PM on zoom

The new batch for Foundation Course in Computers and Employability for
the visually impaired will commence on November third Week, 2019.
Introduction to RCG Foundation:

RCGF, an NGO was established in 2008 with a mission to focus on
empowering and rehabilitating the Visually Challenged in new age
employment opportunities, by making them employability literate,
skilled in English communications, Mobility & Personality development
to enable them stand on their own feet and secure a job, support their
family, and to be a role model for the other Visually Challenged
people.

We run the course in collaboration with Enable India-Bangalore, the
number one institute in India which is providing the computer training
for the visually challenged people. Both the parties are working in
the field of disability and would like to join hands to promote the
benefits to the disability sector by participation in each other’s
programs. The main objective is to collaborate with each other by
using the strength of each organization, to maximize the benefit for
the person with vision impairment in the area of computer literacy,
domain specific training and employability training.

Introduction to Foundation Course in Computers and Employability:
Computer Training for the visually impaired is the greatest form of
empowerment which opens up the world to them: a world of information
(aiding research, education, daily living, recreation), people, jobs,
books (print to voice).
Computer training involves training on Computer Basics, MS office
applications, Internet using the JAWS & NVDA screen reading software
which are talking software that aid the visually impaired to “hear”
everything that a sighted person would “read”.
This is an initiative from RCG Foundation with the group effort of
Enable India team towards giving quality computer training for
visually impaired people who have completed their studies and are
seeking job, and those who want to continue their studies in the field
of computers.
Main goal of this course is to make the candidate employable by
providing computer knowledge and making them efficient in using
computers independently. This will increase the employment
opportunities, betterment of existing job, and for higher studies.
Course Contents:
1.  Life skills and life education training for both career and life:
personal competencies, overcoming disability, managing conflicts,
effective work habits etc.
2.  English training: spoken and written communication, business
communication and heavy emphasis is to enhance spellings.
3.  Computers: basic computers with Microsoft Office applications like
MS word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, and internet.
4.  Miscellaneous concepts like scanning and reading, Printing
documents, CD Burning, Physical connections of computer, trouble
shooting etc…
5.  Employability training: disability specifics which will enable
candidates to overcome their disability, General employability
fundamentals which will enable them to work efficiently at workplace,
job simulation which will help candidates to know about different
jobs.
6.  Fun and Entertainment: which helps the overall development of the
candidates.

3.  Training Manuals and student manuals
4.  Self paced exercises for each concept.
5.  Weekly tests and final assessment test.

8.  EYE tool for automated correction and self learning.
9.  Spelling Tool
10. Real world exposure through role simulations on the computer

Activities:
•   Field visits to the bank, shopping malls, ATM’s etc where candidates
learn about the usage of computers in different fields.
•   Work shadowing in the companies
•   Real work which will give hands-on experience of working in a 
company/NGO
•   Candidates also carry out project work which involves requirements
gathering, planning, status reporting and execution.
•   20 hours of community project is compulsory.

Introduction to CCCT Basic (Career Centric Computer Training Basic)
 
This is an initiative of Mitra Jyothi with Technical collaboration from EnAble 
India for Basic computer-training course for the Visually Impaired followed by 
English training. The course emphasis the students to gain computer knowledge 
and use it for employment in roles which require dual language usage (regional 
and English) such as telecallers, announcers, other government positions and 
more.
 
Mitra Jyothi’s new batch for English-Basic computer training for Visually 
Impaired will commence on July 4th 2011.
 
Course duration:    9 months  
Timings:  9:30AM to 5:00PM.
Date:   July 4th 2011 to April 4th 2012
Days:  Monday to Saturday.
 
About Mitra Jyothi
Mitra Jyothi is a registered Charitable Trust formed in 1990. This trust is 
working for visually impaired and other disabled people in their Education, 
Training and Employment. At present our activities are as follows:
1. Talking Book Library to provide educational and general books on audio 
cassettes and CD to the students with visual impairment
2. Basic and Advanced Computer training to the students with visual impairment.
3. Braille transcription centre to provide Braille books and Braille tools to 
the needy students with visual impairment
4. Independent living skill training to the rural women with visual impairment.
5. Job placement service to persons with disabilities.
6. Community radio Training in which students are given radio jockey training, 
production, post production & broadcasting training. 
 
About Enable India
Enable India is a non-profit organization working tirelessly since its 
inception from 1999 towards the economic independence and dignity of persons 
with disabilities. The needs of all kinds of disabilities like visually 
impaired, hearing impaired, physically disabled, mental retardation, mental 
illness and more across India are catered by Enable India.
The major thrust areas are employment, pre-employment services, and work place 
solutions, supplemental education, consulting and enabling other institutions 
working for the persons with disabilities.

New Batch Announcement of CCCT

For Visually Impaired

Enable India is a Bangalore based, non profit organization established in 1999. 
Our goal is to empower people with disabilities through rehabilitation,
supplemental education and employment. One of our main focus areas is free 
computer training for the visually impaired.  

Enable India’s new batch for Career Centric Computer Training (CCCT) for the 
visually impaired will commence on June 30th 2008. 

The duration of the course is 6 months. The course will cover MS Office 
applications such as MS Word MS Excel, Internet Explorer etc with JAWS, and life
skills training which includes Employment training, career guidance and 
counseling, Personality Development. The ultimate aim of this course is to make
the candidate employable. 

Course Fee: This course has a unique course fee attached: You will have to do 
10 hours of social work for some deserving NGO. And a refundable deposit of
Rs. 500 (which is completely refundable upon certain criteria like 95% 
attendance etc).  

Hostel Accommodation is available at Mitra Jyothi facility for a monthly charge 
of Rs. 1500. This facility is 6 kms away from the training centre. (We can
also provide assistance to find a PG or Hostel)  

Employment opportunities will also be provided for eligible candidates based on 
their performance. 

Visually impaired candidates who are preferably degree holders or 12th standard 
but are planning to continue their education, who can understand & speak
English, & who can attend full time training can apply.

Last date for the registration for Career Centric Computer Training is June 
21st 2008.
