Dear George, I understand that while writing to the government it is important to give specific examples to illustrate the lack of accessibility of the system. However, it must be mentioned that the points mentioned are only examples and the remedy is full compliance to the guidelines with third party testing and certification. We want accessibility for everyone - the totally blind, low vision, cognitive disabilities, mobility impaired - one arm, no fingers and so on. there is no way to test for everyone and get their feedback. Compliance to the international guidelines is the best way forward. Sir, Collecting issues from specific users and communicating the same to concern organizations is ok. but you Please strongly demand WCAG compliance for IRCTC web portal. Government themselves have made it mandatory. Government is planning to make 900 + website accessible for persons with disabilities in the next phase. Even if we click on login link User name and password field are not recognized by screen readers. 3. If we locate Edit fields with OCR, focus can’t be taken to that fields. 4.
