[AI] Negative Response to my Letter

2013-10-19 Thread raghavendra

Dear Friends,
I am sharing my painful experience in my office. My letter has been
treated as indiscipline, misbehavior and got threatening firing from the
job. To bring

to your knowledge, I am pasting the letter below.

To,

Chief Justice,

Court of Small Causes Bangalore

From,

Raghavendra Janivar,

(SDA),

Court of Small Causes Bangalore

Date: 18-10-2013

Subject: Providing Assistive Technology

Respected Sir,

This is to inform you that since July 2012, I have been working as
Second Divisional Assistance in the Court of Small Causes. I have waited
more than one
year for the work solution. However I was sent for four months basic
computer training by the department. So far I haven’t been provided any
assistive
technology to work in the office. I kindly request the honourable court
to arrange a computer with screen reading software to give my better
service to

the department.

For your kind information, I would like to draw your attention towards
(THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITY BILL, 2011) which strongly
supports the EQUAL
OPPORTUNITY, PROTECTION OF RIGHTS AND FULL PARTICIPATION of the disabled
people.

The section 56 of the PWD Act strongly recommends non-discrimination in
employment and providing all accessibility at the workplace.

I hope the Honourable court will fulfill all the requirements very soon
and make me work.

Thanking You,

Yours sincerely

Raghavendra Janivar
If this is the situation of persons who are working in the judiciary
department, what about others?

Hi, did you get their response just after the initial letter?
I am asking cause I did not get any response for one month. And, if
you don't mind then please share the words you got from them.
Thanks.

Yes, it was my first letter.
Regarding court, Staffs are not supposed to put any demands in front of

Dear Friends,
I am sharing my painful experience in my office. My letter has been
treated as indiscipline, misbehavior and got threatening firing from the
job. To bring
to your knowledge, I am pasting the letter below.

To,

Chief Justice,

Court of Small Causes Bangalore

From,

Raghavendra Janivar,

(SDA),

Court of Small Causes Bangalore

Date: 18-10-2013

Subject: Providing Assistive Technology

Respected Sir,

This is to inform you that since July 2012, I have been working as
Second Divisional Assistance in the Court of Small Causes. I have waited
more than one
year for the work solution. However I was sent for four months basic
computer training by the department. So far I haven't been provided any
assistive
technology to work in the office.

2013-10-19 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafel
In my view, you have not approached to appropriate authority. In stead
of writing to Court of small causes, you should have written to the
officer who is in charge of providing and ensuring facilities to the
employees. This is legal duty of any establishment to provide and
equip the establishment with assistive technology to make it congenial
for persons with disabilities. I think the registrar of the court is
the appropriate authority for this concern.

Re: [AI] Negative Response to my Letter

2013-10-20 Thread Umesha Economics
I think it is the ill consequence of giving absolute autonomy and supremacy
to the judiciary in India. judges should not be given the power of hearing
the cases of contempt of court. it is against the natural justice where one
of the party in the litigation itself being the justice giver. in addition,
the 'probationary period' is the worst concept that has ever been invented
in bureaucracy. hierarchical system in civil service is another major
culprit. the legal experts can throw more light on this.
coming to the issue, it should be fought unitedly. there are hundreds of
second divisional assistants recruited in last year in Karnataka. nearly all
of them are facing the same problem. an attempt was made in mysore few
months ago to set up an association of visually challenged state government
employees of Karnataka to fight for these kind of problems. an ad-hoc
committee was setup to look after the establishment and I am also a member
of that committee. but due to reasons unknown, no meeting has been convened
so far. I tried to remind the concerned persons few times but in vain. very
recently, I heard that the process is going on.

For your kind information, I would like to draw your attention towards

This is not only one case of Raghvendra even in Delhi Blind persons
working in Ministries also are not provided computers for office
works, instead many of them have installed Jaws in colleagues
computers who have good friendship in ofice and in their computers
many blinds are using computers, many Blind persons are appointed as
LDC in State Bank & other banks even they are also not provided, this
issue was raised in Sayeverything Convention in Jodhpur, & the answers
given by experts of our Blind Comunity was not satisfied instead they
blamed blind comunity.

I can tell even though most the employees are drinking, even during the
working hours, if a blind employee did that, they will surely sugar quote
that and make it brighter. It is due to jealousy. There are many I can see
practically unhappy of our salary if that is little bit higher than their
salary. Many sighties are in that category. Let them die with jealousy. All
I suggest you is just ignore those idiots and be yourself and safer. Don't
get caught doing such things with your employers. Don't trust your
surroundings and don't let out your weakness. Mainly don't involve with
illegal activities like "drinking"while you're in your workspot.

Re: [AI] Negative Response to my Letter

2013-10-21 Thread Shreedhar TS.
Dear Shankar,
I too agree with you that partly some of us are also responsible for
these problems in the work place. Many times, we can't create
awareness, but many times, the employers don't want to be aware of.
Blaming solely the blind community is not actually correct. Some
employers / ministries / govt depts have employed VIs just because of
law and creating awareness is not an easy job.

Finally, I don't know what survey has yielded the result "40 percent
of the VIs are taking the advantage of their disability" to you. While
giving the figures / informations in percentage, please mention the
authentic source; please don't say some percentage and don't take the
statistics for granted.

Do only Blind people have the drinking habit and chewing gutka and paan
masala? silly attitude! the only thing is that when a person is born with
some physical disability or visual disability, they are subjected to be
more

disciplined, passive and obedient because it is generally thought that we
are being penalized for some wrong doings in some of our previous lives!

yep, some times, we have to accept the blames
most of the blind people has negative attitude
many people goes to there office at 11 am then the proper timings
if they asks, they ll give the silly reasons
and they wont at least make up there minds to asks the tasks in the
offices

I have seen many blind people r collecting funds in the name of
training and educational programmes, but it is not utilized in the
rite way
instud of they ll go to public bars, and take the drinks in frent of
officials
and I have seen many blind people uses the panparak, gutka, other
things in public places
it impacts the attitude of the blind people

in my opinion, 40 percent of blind people r taking there disability as
an advantage,
I would like to share some experience heare
some months ago, one of the blind fello, was asked me for the scribe,
and I have arranged for him
but when they were writing the exam, he never opend his mouth to tell
the answer, after one our, the scribe left the senter
many people has the opinion, that blind people will acheve things from
the help of scribes, we have to remove this opinion from the people
and people should built the positive attitude, an soft speaking skills
there r many ways to acheve the things, but if we go in a negative
way, I hope we cant acheve any things
my words r so hard to digist, but this is the fact, try to accept, and
work on the proper way to remove the blamings on the blind people
