Dears,
Namasthee all. Shri Avinash shahi is certainly not of topic and this news
link is beneficial to all AI members, who are GOI employees.
But the fault is the tone and tenor of this particular news report.
The Hindu as a news paper is prone to providing news slanted against BJP
Government, whether at the Center or in any state where the party is in
power. This news paper is habituated to providing white washed news of
state governments ruled by Opposition parties and to providing flattering
news in case of Left ruled state in particular.
Under the present circumstance, I deem it the patriotic duty of every
government employee to sacrifice a day's salary every month during
2020-21 for the sake of the country. It is cheap on the part of a socalled
'National newspaper" to publish such a piece.
I commend Mr Hhahi for posting news of interest on a regular basis.

Greetings Pranayarani:

Your gripe is with The Hindu, the Government of India and perhaps with Mr.
Modi too. It is not with Mr. Avinash Shahi.

Please note that Mr. Shahi did not editorialize the Hindu article. He
merely

provided a link. Sharing a link to a news article does not imply
endorsement.

Hence, according to your post below, your issue is not with the off topic
nature of the post but with the content of the Hindu news item.

Avinash was merely the bearer of bad tidings as far as you are concerned.
So

demolish the message, not the medium or the messenger!

Please consider sharing your perspective with the Hindu's op ed page much
like what Mr. Rahul Bajaj from this list has done so brilliantly in the
past. Please go to the Access India archives to read two of his expertly
written Hindu op eds.

Greetings Pranayarani:

Your gripe is with The Hindu, the Government of India and perhaps with Mr.
Modi too. It is not with Mr. Avinash Shahi.

Please note that Mr. Shahi did not editorialize the Hindu article. He merely
provided a link.

For Heaven's sake please do not serve as a deterrence and a hyperactive barrier
to Mr. Avinash Shahi's selfless and honest efforts to bring relevant
information to this platform. Talking about off topic postings is analogous to
opening a proverbial can of worms. If we get technical about this and begin to
cite chapter and verse about the number of off topic postings on Access India,
even the sky is not the limit. That said, these off topic postings provide us a
wealth of relevant information which may traditionally remain inaccessible to
us for one reason or another.

Some areas are white, others are black and then there are grey areas as well.
Ours is an inclusive group and therefore if someone wishes to share with our
fraternity information about news related to disability, its accessibility and
technical status not withstanding, it is no way a cardinal sin. I hope you will
accept my recommendation in the true spirit in which it has been rendered.

This is the perfect opportunity for me to thank Mr. Shahi for his insightful
