[AI] Problem in outlook Express

2015-04-20 Thread Jayachandran. T

Friends,

I have a peculiar problem in outlook express. I configured outlook express
correctly. incoming, outgoing mail server everything is correct. Mails
also are downloading.

But when I open the mail, the body of the mail shows blank. The body of the
mails behaves like a html page. For example when I tried to compose a new
mail, when I type hello, for he jaws says there is no heading, for e it says
there is no edit box, for both Ls it says there is no list again for o it
says there is no object. This problem is not only for single mail. Its for
all the mails downloaded. If I press tab after opening the mail it goes to
from line then to line then subject and again it goes to from line and it
continues.

Nearly 7 times I configured by deleting the earlier configuration. And one
more thing eventhough the mail contains attachment, it doesnot shows the
attachment. I dont know how to solve this problem. Anybody can guide me in
this regard.

Thanks Samuel & Yusaf...
Well, sharing the solution in case it would be useful for someone:
In my Internet Explorer, went to internet options, on advance page,I clicked
the reset... button.
Then on general page, clicked delete browsing history button, and finally,
deleted all...

At last, got rid of entering password, and all mails are downloaded...

Hi Bavesh, i think this would be one situation, where your account has
been locked due to some technical reasons.
You'll have to click on this link and go to the website and unlock
capture first.

Then in case it doesn't solve your issue just let me know after
reconfiguring your account, hope you know the steps to configure you
can find it on gmail website.
when you go to the website to unlock your account, please enter user

Re: [AI] problem in outlook express

2010-06-03 Thread sachit sahrawat
Dear Raghu!

There is one remedy for this problem I am using this technique ever
since I have started using outlook express. When you think that a
mail is important and it is worth saving, go to file menu, select
save as, and give it any path to your hard drive in any folder. You
can choose a different name for the mail and this mail will be saved
in 'eml' format. So many people will be using this and according to
me, this is the best way to preserve your messages. I accept hthat it
will take some time, but later on, you will find it more safer .

When you delete an individual mail, it goes to the Deleted Items folder. If
you delete a mail folder, the entire folder will go to the Deleted Items
folder. In that case when you navigate among the folders, jaws will say
"Deleted Items closed". You can restore the deleted folder if something like
this has happened to you.

Best regards,

Re: [AI] Problem in Outlook Express.

2008-03-05 Thread Anubha Bhargava
Hello,
Thanks a lot for yr kind reply & for yr help.
Actually, there are about 31 mails which haven't been permanently deleted,
but they aren't in the DELETED ITEMS folder/list either.
I had created a new folder named 'GLOBAL' & had tried moving all these 31
mails into this particular folder, but god alone knows where all these mails
have disappeared to because they aren't either in my Inbox,or in Global
folder.
So pls do let me know, what do I do to find them again?
Thanking u in advance, with best regards, Anubha.

Re: [AI] Problem in Outlook Express.

2008-03-04 Thread Samuel Rodrigues
Hi anubha,
If the mails have been deleted permanently, you cannot get them back.
But if the mails have been deleted from inbox they mostly go to deleted
items.
If you know which mail it is, then go to the folder deleted items, if I
guess.
Stay on the mail which ever it may be, example:
" Access India, welcome to Access India"
Press alt+e then press m and choose the folder you want to move the mail and
then press enter.
Hope this helps,
With regards
Samuel

using windows xp sp2 and jaws 5 and jaws 7.

Best regards,

It may be because of the rules of the list which don't allow attachments to
be sent via e-mail.

Re: [AI] Problem in Outlook Express

2006-10-27 Thread Anjali Arora
I thought so.
but when it was unchecked I was receiving attachments from personal contacts
but not from this list.

one of the list members had send judgment of jnk as an attachment which was
not recievable.
without any change and keeping it unchecked I recieved attachment just today
evening from a friend of mine.

hmm now, check or uncheck? its confusing!
thanks

Re: [AI] Problem in Outlook Express

2006-10-27 Thread Keshav Kumar
Hello!

do the following:

go to the outlook express's ToollsMenu/options and then, press ControlTab,
untill you reach the securityTab.

now, press the tab key, twice or thrice to reach: "do not allow
attachments... checkbox checked".

uncheck the checkbox, then, first, press the apply and then the OK button.

in this way, you will permit the future attachments to be downloaded to your
computer.

regards,
Keshav.

Please do the following:
go to tools menu and enter on options.
find security tab. uncheck the checkbox which says, do not allow attachments
to be saved which potentially can be a virus.
I think the problem would go.

Re: [AI] problem in outlook express

2006-08-04 Thread anjalee arora
hi,
I've done that already but with no success.
I'm sure something is wrong somewhere...mere running the config file doesn't
automatically solve the problem, or if I may say, configure the gmail in
OE...
I think what aruni has suggested in last couple of mail is most likely to
work. those are important for configuration.

I'm going to try that out...hopefully with success.

Re: [AI] problem in outlook express

2006-08-04 Thread Viraj Kafle
yes. It is something called gmail config tool and will in all probability
reduce the complex procedures of configuring GMail with outlook. only be
sure to remove all accounts that you have so far created, I mean those GMail
accounts which you have created and are not working. only having removed
them, run the program.

Good luck

Again there are two different items under the server tab of the accounts
properties. 1. "log on using secured password authentication" which
should be unchecked. and 2. "my server requires authentication" which
should be checked.

If you are talking about the secure password authentication, it is in the
server tab and that is only applicable for the outgoing messages and not for
incoming. The error that is there in the first original query is related to
receiving the mails I guess, at least looks like having seen the error that
was pasted.

secure password authentication and SSL are two different things
altogether. It is the second option that has to be selected and not the
first.

When you uncheck the box suggested below, the port will automatically change

2006-08-03 Thread anjalee arora
I did make the change as suggested.
following message appeared:
Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication. Account:
'gmail.com', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR
not supported d13pf2172747pyd', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error:
0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

note, that with the given password I'm still able to check my mails online.
so where's the problem?

thanks

2006-08-03 Thread Vikas Kapoor
did you ever enabled your pop accessibility for your gmail account on the
gmail site itself? If not, you need to do that first, if it is there, then
it appears that your server is not supporting the secure password, is that a
temporary problem or you have never received any mail from this account?
will research on it and get back to you if found something relevant.

2006-08-02 Thread Vikas Kapoor
Looking at the error you pasted, it appears that you've entered the server
name wrong, while your error shows it is gmail.com, whereas in the case of
incoming, it should be pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com in the case of
outgoing.
