Hi all, First of all, thank you very much for your valuable guidance on and off the list. I have learnt many new things from your mails. I took it to the Nokia service center in Tirupati. They said water/sweat got into the key pad and hence it's strange behaviour and non-functioning of some keys. They serviced the phone for which the cost was Rs. 250 and now the phone is working absolutely fine. -- G. [AI] Star key not working in Nokia 5320
Hi friends, My Nokia 5320 is misbehaving in a lot of ways in last 1 day. Amongst all, the major problem I'm facing is that the star key is not working and hence I'm not able to unlock the key pad. As a result, I can't try anything like formatting, restoring factory settings, uninstall talks etc. So, can anyone guide me as to any way in which I can unlock the key pad without using the star key? I have tried restarting the phone which is not possible without unlocking the key pad. I have even tried taking out the battery and then putting it in. But still the same problem persists. I can't make any outgoing calls and can only receive incoming calls. -- G. Ya. It looks mostly like a hardware problem. But just to make sure that it is not a software problem, try the hard reset. The key combination for hard reset is star+call+3+the power button. hisir, vetri's suggestions are right, its seems a hardware problem, if this mathad does not work for you, then go to settingsphone settingsgeneral settingsorigenal phone settings and give your scurity coard. after that your phone should be restarted with new factory settings. if problem doesnt goes, just visit nokia care center and your phone will be repaired free of cost if ur phone is not older then one yr. for details about nokia care center in ur erea, just call 18004253388.
