Hello, First press ctrl+s to activate "Select a synthesiser" dialogue box, arrow down to Sapi 5 and press enter to activate it. Now go to Jaws Opbtions menu, Voices submenu and Global Adjustment. Select Default options, tab over to the pc cursor voice control. It is a combo box where you have to select ScanSoft Sangeeta_Full_11kDefault (or 22kDefault) for voice. Then tab over to the Ok button. At first the whole process semed difficult to me, particularly the last combo box. If you want it to be the default synthesiser for jaws, you will have to go to Jaws configuration manager by pressing insert+f2. Then press ctrl+shift+d for the default configuration file. Activate the Set options menu, Synthesiser submenu. It will open a dialogue box where the first control is a combo again where you have to select Sapi 5. dear friend, as you provided I pressed jaws control + s, I got into the sintasiser selection option, where I selected SAPI 5. after I move to Jaws Options menu, Voices submenu and Global Voice Settings, I could not find the options as you are indicating. instead, I found, the following: Modify Person: Microsoft MaryDefault Pitch: 10Application Windows OS Volume: 100Rate: 11 Spell Rate Change Percent: -5 Punctuation: Most Upper Case Pitch Change Percent: 0 OK Cancel Restore To Default Adjusts which voice is used. where merri is ritten i press down arrow and i could not find sangeeta. i found only Person: Microsoft Mike and Sam in fact, i downloaded the sangeeta from jaws website (RealSpeak Solo Direct Voices for Freedom Scientific Products) where it is mention, (Use this page to download one or more Nuance® RealSpeakT Solo Direct voices that work exclusively with JAWS versions 10 or later, and MAGic version 11 after January 2009.
