Re: [AI] ms outlook and outlook express

2008-12-07 Thread Ch. Srinivasu
Please understand neither of them are free. If one wish to use Outlook
Express, it comes only when you purchase Windows Operating System. If some
one looking for free email client, may be go for something that is open
sources like Thunder.

Coming to original question, Outlook and Outlook Express both are Email
clients that means you can download mails from server and read even while
you are offline. It's rather easy to use. However, most of the free email
services like hotmail, rediff cannot be configured. I personally prefer
Microsoft Outlook since it has features like calendar etc.

Re: [AI] ms outlook and outlook express

2008-12-06 Thread Roopakshi Pathania
Hi Aisha,

In even simpler terms, both email clients download your email on your computer.
You dont have to go to different email sites like Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.
You have to set up these clients first by specifying certain rules. Besides
collecting emails, they perform a host of other functions, like maintaining
address book and contacts, sending automated out of office replies, showing a
calendar, etc.

I would personally go for MS Outlook, but that is a matter of preference.
Here is an article that may help you in taking the decision.

Re: [AI] ms outlook and outlook express

2008-12-06 Thread Amit Bhatt

Dear Aisha,
IN brief, Outlook Express is an E-mail client. This is a POP3- and
IMAP-compatible Application witch enable us to send and retrieve E-mails
without going to the website.

Microsoft Outlook is also an email client included with the Microsoft Office
suite. It is designed to operate as an independent personal information
manager,

as an Internet mail client, or in conjunction with the Microsoft Exchange
Server for group scheduling, email, and task management. It manages email,
calendars,

contacts, tasks, to-do lists, and documents or files on the hard drive.
Outlook helps you communicate through email, phone support, and group
scheduling

capabilities. MS Outlook also helps you share information by means of public
folders, forms, and Internet connectivity.

Both the programs are developed by Microsoft Corporation.

MS Outlook has some extra features as compare to Outlook Express.

As far as you've asked about the comparison in both the Applications, well
it is tough to say witch is the best one. In most of the organizations,
people prefer Microsoft Outlook. But I personally do like Outlook Express to
use. Not sure whether my observation is wrong or right but what I have
analyzed that a large number of sighted people are using MS Outlook
extensively. Where as I have seen most of the Visually Impaired folks using
Outlook Express rather than working with Ms Outlook.

Thanks,

Amit Bhatt
