Re: [AI] regarding formatting memory card

2010-10-12 Thread prakash chand
every flash memory can be formatted by computer pen drive or memory card .
the main problem some times some spiwares lock the file system by
shell scripts , which makes this error . disk is write protected .

for solving that go to my computer > toolls menu > folder options view tab
and check the box show hidden files and folders

and uncheck the box hide the known file type extention and Hide
protected operating system files (Recommended).

after that delete the all files which are useless for you and not
known by you .

hope it will solve your problem

although asudani sir has given you the right solution, but if by
chanse, it doesnt work, then do format your memory card or your USB
drive threw ms dos.
make sure that you give correct command otherwise one wrong letter,
and you'll lose any part with its whole data of your hard disk.

Re: [AI] regarding formatting memory card

2010-10-12 Thread Dr. Yogesh Sharma
Hi Sandeep, To me it appears as if you or somebody else has applied some
password to your memory card. Try the following:

1. Insert the memory card in to the phone and start the phone.
2. After Talks start, press the menu button and nevigate to the folder named
Extras.
3. Press down the joy stick to enter this folder. Now press options [The left
soft key] and scroll down to the "remove password" option.
4. Press the joystick to select this option.
5. Press the okay button if required.

Hopefully that should solve the problem.
Regards.
  Yogesh.

[AI] regarding formatting memory card

2010-10-12 Thread Vicky Singh
Dear SharmaG,

Some pen drives have a hardware lock associated with them. In case
the lock is activated by using a slider on the pen drive itself then
it becomes write protected. This feature is useful when you want to
read pen drive and not write anything to it. This often helps in
ensuring that virus do not get copied to pen drive.

Normally the mentioned slider lock is on the side of pen drive.

Hope that helps.
