[AI] regarding use of photo identity card to book the railway ticket
Hello, Today, I have received my photo identity card to book my concessional railway ticket but I am unable to understand as in which format number is to be entered while booking the ticket through IRCTC. My card has 12 alphaneumeric characters i.e. initial 6 digits as alphabets then six digits as numbers followed by space. So ehen I enter this number as printed on the card I am unable to book my ticket. So if anyone on the list has used the said card through IRCTC, kindly write the steps to enter the details of this card. After entering the card, I have selected the category as handicapped still no luck. So please share your experience. Hi I have no idea with railway ID but I would suggest to enter the same 12 digit alphanumeric without space if not tried, as I have faced similar issues while entering data with spaces where the app considers the space as another character and the text length goes to 13 instead of 12... Re: [AI] regarding use of photo identity card to book the railway ticket
Applied for the card after railways had issued the circular. I didn’t got any call from them officially. It’s just one of my friend who is working in railways persued my application with the concerned authorities and informed me when it was ready to issue. I got this card from him personally when he came to meet me yesterday.
