Re: [AI] too much of anything is good for nothing.
I've also mentioned that it is my personal opinion, while presenting my opinion. or in another words, while giving my representation to this list. Have you understood what I said? Here it is again. I said, it seems there are some people who they wanting to be in the frontline with their postings. i also asked, whether do they take care of their life? other than posting here to this list? I'm also aware of the options to block emails or to skip emails from the group or even from a particular person. I was not asking the way for doing that sir. Please understand what i said and what I'm trying to say. This list not only our life, This is also a part of our life. this is what in short I was telling. Taking it or skipping my message or ignoring it is up to you. Kind Regards, Sent from my iPhone > On 13-Jul-2015, at 5:00 pm, Vedprakash wrote: > > Mailing lists do not have time bar. Mailing lists do not have time bar. If I do not wish to receive mails at a particular times, I have many available options. I can stop data connection. I can opt for bundle mails from the desired list. I can change the setting of my phone so that the mail downloads would occur at a particular time. But members cannot be time-barred from posting to the list as long as the list continues. Re: [AI] too much of anything is good for nothing.
Hello all, Dissemination of any Useful information and stuff within the capacity of this group being sent by the users including Avinash is indubitably beneficial for the readers, but I suppose everyone has freedom to express his/her views. Sumathi has also expressed her views and concerns, I am not rating her opinion correct or incorrect, but are we not trying to exterminate her thoughts? Her suggestions are not being considered, and that is right, so what is the need to oppose a person in such a disgusting manner? I deem moderator is capable enough to decide what to post and what not to post here, moreover he has already voiced his thoughts on this and couple of messages opposing Sumathi was adequate on the list. So what is the necessity to prolong this debate? This way the discussion itself will fall in the category of too much of anything is good for nothing, smiles! Let them continue with the relevant postings and also do not try to homicide the others in terms of expression of thoughts. She may be wrong, but it seems like we are jumping in to the referendum to decide what is correct or incorrect by such a huge disagreement. Re: [AI] too much of anything is good for nothing.
Dear Friends, With world becoming a global village, we all have become very busy in our own lives. Owing to increasing demands and challenges that a visually impaired person faces in this competitive world, it is very essential to gain information and one can gain information only by sharing and I believe "Access India" is a right platform to share such information with our community. We must support and encourage such individuals who are taking out time from their busy schedule trying to educate us by sharing valuable information with us at the time we require help. "I" as a person may not require that piece of information, but somebody will be surely benefitting from it. I second George Sir, Harish Sir and Avinash. I must thank Sumathi for sharing her view with the forum. All the best folks and continue the great work that you are doing! -- "Good friendship is like the relationship between eye & hand! It is only due to posts mailed to this list that various issues regarding visually challenged are easily available. I thank all the members for posting such important information now and then. All I do second Avinash's sentiments, sharing of knowledge and information is always welcome on the AccessIndia list. The list serves various segments of this specialised community. It is only from genuine passion that folks post on unearthly hours as you mentioned. Would of course appreciate, if the posters were mindful not to post private messages on the list. This is within limits and we do strive to keep unnecessary traffic to the minimum. In conclusion, please keep your posts going with a small caution to make sure, if the post is doing some value addition. Why activists such as Mr Javed Abidi is known world over despite his falicious understanding about the issues cause he writes and posts and cells himself. However blind people who have struggled hard for the rights of all disabled and have faced the lathis several times in the past have remained untouchables for the media, academia and the state. It hurts certainly hurts. Therefore, I do a small attempt to provoke friends to take up disability studies and contribute to the discourse and generate knowledge in the field. If you have time and patience you could see the recent collection of AI archive where the articles I shared on the list have travelled fast on other lists and the hidden issues blown up, discourse generated and awakening and alertness was felt. Thank you for your concern. Re: [AI] too much of anything is good for nothing.
I guess, people should keep on posting as long as they stay within the rules of the group or get the clearance of the moderaters. It should not matter to any of us if the post is made at 2 a.m. or 6 p.m.. People work to different schedules and we should respect that. A lot of stuff people post are extremely useful and we should welcome that. -Original Message- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Radha Sent: 12 July 2015 14:52 To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled. Well-expressed Sumathi! However, you should not be too much concerned about other people's lives. Access Indians are aware about how to avail means to fulfill their ends.
