Hey mukesh, why don't you scan a page as an image using perl camera

a source of the scanner but it didn't recognise LexCam.
Using LexCam is also good option, tables are properly recognised in a
page scanned through lexCam, but it has its own issues thats why I am
not happy with its over all performance. Say for e.g. it crashes down
while scanning regularly after scanning 20 or 30 or so pages, sometime
if you forgot to save the document, whole labour goes invain. You can
not save images altogether in tiff format after scanning, if you want
to save images you will have save one by one, which is a tedious task.
It never scan more then 10 pages per minute while they claim that it
can scan upto 20 pages per minute.

Re: [AI] Experience of scanning through open book?

2014-03-11 Thread mukesh jain
hello,
i am using pearl camera with openbook and its quite good with
continuous text. but unable to get the exact results for text with
table. even simple table is not appearing properly after converting in
to word format. while with fine reader, this use to be happen
fantastically. don't know if openbook requires any additional settings
for this task but am quite unhappy with this problem as i have to
manually edit this in to table format which sometimes becomes very
lengthy process.

if someone has solution for this problem, then kindly share here.
thanks,

Re: [AI] Experience of scanning through open book?

2014-03-11 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafel
Hey mukesh, why don't you scan a page as an image using perl camera
and get it recognise through fine reader. I hope the table will be
intact in recognition results. I tried LexCam to use with open book as
a source of the scanner but it didn't recognise LexCam.
It never scan more then 10 pages per minute while they claim that it
can scan upto 20 pages per minute.

through open book using LexCam digital scanner?

 Dear mohib
Scanning through open book gives you the same experience as Kurzweil.
Actually, both the softwares use the same scanning engine. viz,
 Finereader and Omni page.
Hope this information is useful for you.
 Regards
 Shakti.
