yes. NVDA will read whatever comes under the mouse. so even totally
blind people can work with mouse provided they know the way, a mouse
works.

Even though, NVDA has a wonderful mouse tracking feature, I don't feel
that a visually challenged person can operate the computer very
efficiently.
Firstly, you need to know what items are where which is almost
impossible because there are thousand of intricate things in a
computer which cannot be memorized.
Forget mouse browsing with screen readers.

Re: [AI] NVDA with mouse

2014-03-07 Thread Bhavya shah
Mobile phones are comparatively simpler and smaller as compared to
computers/laptops, and hence the position and location of different
items in a mobile can be memorized. Also, we communicate with Touch
Screen mobile phones while here we want to communicate with a mouse
with laptops.
Also, there are a large amount of visually impaired users who prefer
Nokia devices [non-touch screen] despite their old technology over the
advanced touch-screen mobile phones due to Nokia's accessibility and
efficiency.
If you are still not convinced, give mouse browsing with NVDA a try
but I don't feel that the result will be very good.

Really sorry for my words!

Big words from this mini man:
Mouse is nothing in fight with keyboard.

Either it is normal person or blind one!
It is never possible to perform a task as quickly as keyboard commands do.
Do it your-self to find whether I'm right or wrong.

Thanks.

 Hello team
today I thought about working on computer with mouse. I hope many
 members already know.
Can I work on computer with NVDA and its mouse speaking system? If
 I
use a touch pad mouse, can I work on NVDA with mouse?
