Hi everyone who helped me! All is well now! The problem with linkedin giving 
trouble was that the linkedin app was downloaded on my laptop without my 
knowledge! And once Ajay Manocha figured it out for me, he told me to uninstall 
the same and then work; all trouble was over and I am good to go! Thank you all

Oops, a lot of help? 

in the recent announcement from Google they clearly recommended updating the 
browser  for the latest  version by going to settings/help and checking for 
updates to have a better experience on modern applications such as linkedin, 
whatsapp and so on.

Insert+t works in both jaws and NVDA. There are normally two insert keys. 0 on 
the numpad also works as insert key when the numlock is turned off. If an 
insert key does not work, try the other.

You must have found the list of running applications in task manager. Just 
press application key on an item and arrow down to the end task option. If you 
activate it by pressing enter, the application will be closed.

 

As regards closing a tab on a browser, ctrl+f4 should work.

 

Why can't you follow the name of the browser? Insert+t always announces the 
name of the browser after the title of the page?

Nothing is working! How do I know what brouzer I am using for the same please 
help? Also task manager also does not show end programme! What am I doing

What browser are you on? Control + W or control + f4 should help. Also, I 
notice its tabs you want to close, not the entire browser window, in which case 
alt + f4 won't help - it'll close the entire browser window, all tabs at once.

name of the browser after the title of the page?

Insert+t works in both jaws and NVDA. There are normally two insert keys. 0 on 
the numpad also works as insert key when the numlock is turned off. If an 
insert key does not work, try the other.

notice its tabs you want to close, not the entire browser window, in which case 
alt + f4 won't help - it'll close the entire browser window, all tabs at once.

However  my whatsapp web window is not closing with control F4 or control W.

You must have found the list of running applications in task manager. Just 
press application key on an item and arrow down to the end task option. If you 
activate it by pressing enter, the application will be closed.

 

As regards closing a tab on a browser, ctrl+f4 should work.

 

Why can't you follow the name of the browser? Insert+t always announces the 
name of the browser after the title of the page?

Hi,

You could try closing it from the task view. Press Windows key plus tab,
find the window you'd like to close, and press delete. Alternatively, press
applications  key or shift f10 on the task and select the close option.

Thank you for your help! I have managed to now close the linkedin window 
through the task  manager! Will also try the application key one.

However  my whatsapp web window is not closing with control F4 or control W. 
Will work with the task manager itself.

Thanks for telling me how to listen to the name of the brouzer! I honestly am 
not too great with technology and will try this today. Never thought of it!

You must have found the list of running applications in task manager. Just 
press application key on an item and arrow down to the end task option. If you 
activate it by pressing enter, the application will be closed.

 

As regards closing a tab on a browser, ctrl+f4 should work.

 

Why can't you follow the name of the browser? Insert+t always announces the 
name of the browser after the title of the page?

Hi Preeti

When closing a document window of an application containing multiple instances, 
like the browser with multiple tabs, you might try pressing Control F4 if not 
also try Alt W or Control W in some programs. Your best bet is Control F4. 
Often it will lose focus so that you will need to press Alt Tab to get back to 
the Application, in this case your browser, where you will see then next opened 
browser tab. Another hint is you can press Control Tab to cycle between opened 
tabs.

Hi
What browser are you on? Control + W or control + f4 should help. Also, I
notice its tabs you want to close, not the entire browser window, in which
case alt + f4 won't help - it'll close the entire browser window, all tabs
at once.
