Re: [AI] data card review (specially from huawei brand users)needed.
Dear Gurfan, When some advice is given on the list on an issue and if one wants to debate on the issue then it should be directed to the member whose reply is being debated. You can not write that we cant connect the datacard with keyboard, does it mean that you are saying that we must and should connect to the datacard through the associated program and can not connect it through any other way. If so you are wrong, irrespective of the service provider we can connect it using windows dial up connection and the only changes are probably the number to dial the service provider usually for all gsm it is #777(that is not the point to debate). and the specific user name and password, any unlocked modem can be connected to any provider, with out the associated program under windows, this is undisputed fact. I am only concerned over the wrong message being passed to the seeker of the information, especially when it is with regards to the functional aspect of connection. Also gurfan i am not at all intending to With regards, Kiran S Deshpande. @Hi, I was wondering why people just dont read the messages. When the query has already been solved very well, why the similar question again and again? Kiran has solved the issue of connecting the inaccessible data cards, and elaborated it very well. I am also using huawei data card provided by MTS. You can not connect through flash application. You can creat the dialup icon on your desktop which you can easily find inside the my network properties. For more information I’m quoting the Kiran message below. Re: [AI] data card review (specially from huawei brand users)needed.
Please note connecting and disconnecting through data card is not the only task to accomplish, you need to do a host of other settings sometimes, for instance, whether you want to have your connectivity in broadband or hybrid mode, modifying and creating profiles within a data card, in these types of cases, you may always like to prefer a data card which is accessible to the maximum extent, therefore, doing a proper research on the accessibility feature of any device is absolutely desirable. - Original Message - From: akhilesh akhil.akhi...@gmail.com To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2012 8:39 AM Subject: Re: [AI] data card review (specially from huawei brand users)needed. @Hi, I was wondering why people just dont read the messages. Re: [AI] data card review (specially from huawei brand users)needed.
I am using this brand with reliance netconnect broadband+ from past 2 years. my data card was bundled with the purchase of internet account and I had no option of having my own device. the interface program is also provided by reliance. it is accessible for connecting and disconnecting and other similar functions. but it is inaccessible for reading the data transferred, time elapsed, network strength, making changes settings etc. but it is an old version and I think the program has changed substantially in these days, that too unfortunately to the advantage of mouse user and disadvantage of keyboard users. Hi, You need not connect using the application provided by your service provider. You can use basic windows service of dial up connection and it is fully accessible. It is by default set once u have installed it. Go to network connections and u ll find it there. At the most u need to enter your access number as user name and password both in dial up connection settings. Regards, Kiran S Deshpande.
