Installation of PA3
Hallo, I am a long time KDE-user on Debian Sid and have Plasma-Active on my weTab for some time, from wich I kicked the original OS. I have testet the meego and mer weekly builds from basykom and the latest iso from balsam. Now I have installed PA3 and maybe it is interesting for you, when I give feedback. But first, I want to thank you all for the great work. I hope, there will be hardware soon. The first thing, I want to make a remark on, is the installer. Is there a way, to get PA3 installed, without a usb-keybord? I think, that is importeant for the normal user. By the way, what is the diffrence between the iso from 14.10.2012 and the iso.1 from 15.10.2012? Wolfgang ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active

Where can I find it? it's a news reader, not a microblogging app... we really do need to hook up one of the several microblogging apps that are floating around, however :) No, it's really a microblogging app. There's *also* a news reader, even in the same repo. -- sebas http://www.kde.org | http://vizZzion.org | GPG Key ID: 9119 0EF9 ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active

Is there a way to rename files in the files-browser. I did not find a way, so I helped with installing Dolphin via zypper. Wolfgang ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active

Yes, by 'zypper refresh ; zypper update' you are on the same revisions as the official PA3 release. The rc images and the final release are using the same rpm repositories. Thanks, Thomas I'm not aware of any brochures. I've demonstrated PA at several conferences on the ExoPC. I guess basyskom printed some brochures once for an exhibition, but those would probably be horribly outdated by now anyway. Good idea to have brochures. We've been using business card sized literature lately, which works well. Would be easy to have 3Important Things about PA and PA3 along with the logo and URL. How long will you be there? Do you have access to a printing company? In Europe, business cards are 55 mm x 85 mm? Yes, business card sized material would be great. That way I could give people a PA card along with my business card. However, I don't think I can get to a printing company here, due to a full schedule, and I'll return on Wednesday. But having some cards for the next conference / exhibition / meeting would be helpful. And yes, it seems 85x55 is the norm here.
