Has anybody succeeded in updating toor installing the newest image of PA4, which Marco provided, on a weTab? If not, can I expect a new iso, which works? After the installation it would not start. - So i downloaded the iso from 29.09.2013. It started after the installation. So I updated it. The result were the same crashed as before after the first update of my current installation of PA in virtualbox. After installing it, i do not have a network connection and no background for the activities. Adding a background crashes PA and virtualbox. So unforunately more work to do. After the update of PA4 syncing owncloud-calendar and -contacts works fine, thank you. I still cannot add new feeds to the feed reader. Adding the feed address is possible, but pressing OK does not work. Hallo i can see in my store, that Bogdan has put some images into the warehouse, which I can see in my store but not in the vivaldi store, as there is no channel images. There is no real chance to get them tagged, when i cannot see, which images are not tagged already. If i choose no tag , i always see all pictures. It would be easier, when I could only see the images, which have no tags. After the launch of makeplaylive (congratulations!) I hope, that PA development will start again (if it ever has been down). Allthough I now could do what i wanted in the warehouse, I still wonder, why it has to work that way. To add my test user warehouse@... to the partner wolfgang.ro...@web.de I had to log in as h...@wolfgangromey.de and add wareho...@akl-woro.de to the peoples list of wolfgang.ro...@web.de. So when someone seeks a partner, he has to know someone, who has a partner and can add him to the peoples list of his partner. Strange. I expected, that there would be a way, that wolfgang.ro...@web.de could do it himself. No, he has to create another partner, where he can add people to. I think it would be helpfull, if the partner could see the people he partners to and ad dnew partners. Or do I understand the concept of partners completely wrong? Deleting Partners
I want to delete the partner wolfgang.ro...@web.de of my test person m-p-l@akl-woro.de4 but I do not succeed and get no reaction, which would help. I want to start in the user guide with a content provider with has no partner, so for the screen-shots i need it the partner removed. I succeded in generating a bug report about the akonadi-crashes. But the automatic installation of the missing debuginfos did not work in the report generator. I had to do it manually. tagging behaves strange with books
I tried to generate channels with books, but the tags I entered were allways removed or altered. So I never succeded in creating the channels i wanted. I wanted to rebuild the books channel in Vivaldi-1, but i did not work. Wth Wallpapers I did succeed. Until now, one has to guess, what tags to use. What happens, if I use the tag dark, are there all assets shown, which have these tag? On my weTab with PA4 i have crashes, when I set up the syncing of contacts and calendar with owncloud. Obviously akonadi(?) crashes. I wanted to send a bug report, was offerd to install the debugging symbols, which was not succesful, because repros are missing. I ask again, what repros have to be activated for bug reports. Removing assetType in the store
As far as I understand it, if I only want to see subchannels, in the channels there have to be no tags. I have in my store WRomey_store the channel Wallpapers and the subchannel nature with the taggs wallpaper and Nature. I started with the tag Wallpaper in the channel Wallpapers so there are shown the channel Nature and all Wallpapers. So I tried to get rid of the tag Wallpapers in the channel Wallpaper, but i reapears every time i return to the store. If I change it to another tag, the matching assets are shown. It seems to me, once a tag is set, it cannot be removed. I have similar expieriences with the channel books. Deleting a Partner in the warehouse
Hello, for the warehouse user guide i am working on, i created a new account and wanted to associate it with a partner. As searching did not deliver the partner wolfgang.ro...@web.de with the name of Wolfgang Romey, i tried to create a partner with the same name in the new account, which did not work. So I created a new one with the name WRomey and the same email adress. In the meantime I learned, i can add a partner to the new account by going in an other account which has a partner and add it to the persons. Now I wanted to delete the partner WRomey in the new account, but get the message, that i am not authorized to do this. What has to be done? BTW: How can a new user of the warehouse find a partner? Does he allways have to create a new one? Files - Follders and Tags
I think folder and tagging are far from ready in KDE. I have a lot of images i tag intensely in digikam. When i sync them to my weTab via owncloud, i have tag them anew. That is not acceptable. As long as tags are not tied to a file, tagging is not ready. When I copy files to my weTab, i should be aksed, if I want to tag them. If yes, my tags should be offered and I should be able to create new one. The same should happen, when i load down content from bodega. One tag should allways be the folder in which the file rests, so i can see which files are in a folder and can tag them. When i tag them with another folder, the old tag folder would removed As long as tagging is far from ready, PA should offer fallback lines. One fallback for me is dolhin, allthough it is not touch optimized. There is at least one important app, that thinks in folders: owncloud. owncloud wants to sync folders! It makes no sense, to sync the complete mer folder to owncloud. I sync the *folders* muisic, documents, pictures ... and all the folders, i have on my laptop and want to sync to the tablet via owncloud. There is probably no easy way to solve it . Maybe there could be a tag "sync to owncloud" which in combination with other tags syncs to folders on owncloud without creating folders in PA4. As I wrote, no easy way to get rid of foldes in PA4. Obviously files looks into folders an presents the conted in another way. With bodega, one has to find a solution which works with the web-interface on every system, which can use it. OnlyAddOn can go another way. I would like to know, when the PA5 development starts and if it is more than just porting to KDE5 Framework. PA has to go a long way, until it is mostly task-centered. What can be the next steps in this direction, what is offer as long as there is no tasked-centered solution? Maybe i see things al little clearer now. Is it right, that, when i start Add Ons, i see the list of assetTypes, the marketplace offers. When I click on an assetType, it opens a column of collections and so on, until ireach the column, where i can download the asset. To get on the market place an asset has to be run through a store. If it fits the tags defined in the store (and other criteria which do not understand at the moment) it gets on the market place. Some assets have tag catogeries some other not. Which when is unclear for me. Would itnot be good to have something like partipants manual in which are tasks descriped in detail like: You want to become a participant of makeliveplay bodega? At first you have to get an account. Go to url and enter your email-address and a password. You will get a confirming email and can now log in with your email and password. If yo are using Plasma Active, start addons and proceed as described above. You want to get digital content. Go to url and log in with your account. You see ... where you can search or browse. You have digital content, you want provide for free or for sale. Go to url and log in with your account And so on until You want to install your own warehouse on your own server e.g as a school. ... Is something like that planned? If not, if the idea is apprecieated, would like to start with something like that. I have created a store, but will not use it until there are green lights from you. As I wrote, i can see the asset, when i put them in a collection. When sending a request for publishing for an image, there is still the message, that an icon is missing. There is only the possibility to upload a sreenshot, which i did, but which is not accepted as an icon. I tried to create another account, because i wanted to see what a normal user, who is not publisher, ... sees. I recieved the the mail with the authentification code, but i gets not accepted. I get "Account activation request not found! The account activation request "346: jvXHeq1Ic1TUbsVBLlg8t66Alx2cWbnGXLXCCYTo" could not be found." When using the addon app with PA4, i do not find a way to create another account because i am logged in automatically. Is there a way? It makes in my opinion sense, when the tablett is used by more the one person. What I did: I changed the assetType of "Faire_hardware" to articel and created an icon (512x512), which i did load up. I wanted to edit the Tags, no tags were shown. I added tag "articel". Which was shown but when looking again no longer. I created a tag author "Romey,Wolfgang", but i could a first not find it in the tags. When I tried after a few minutes, it was shown, so i added it. When I go back to editing tag, still no tags are shown. The request for publishing worked well. Now i am waiting. When starting addons in PA on my weTab the collection "Mahlzeiten" which I created is shown. When I go into the manager, now I can edit fields. I tried to upload 6 Images. They are shown after being dropped. But when i click on review, they are not shown.
