For non-authoritatively restores you do not have be in restore mode (safe
mode) for Windows ADV Server 2000, just a reboot after restore is required.

understand, it is a way to boot a W2K system and restore the last system
state.  I looked in the TSM 4.2 manuals as well as the 4.2 README and

I didn't have to use any extra parameters.  I just used the same dsm.opt
that was utilized with our TSM3.7 client
