Re: API developer token taking crazy long

Hello,

We have been waiting for nearly 4 months as well, posting on this forum,
sending 7 or 8 emails to adwords api token email address and not getting a
single answer.

If the team does not like our project, why not simply reject our
application?

Treat people like you would like to be treated.

Re: Impact of from-scratch re-write of Java Client Library on Adwords Api v201109

Hi,

The rewrite of Java client library is unrelated to sunsetting AdWords API

transitioning/sunsetting v201109 of AdWords API. We announce AdWords API
sunset plans on http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com, so you can track
the blog for such announcements.

Re: Granting API Access

2012-05-22 Thread Anash P. Oommen
Hi,

To grant API access to an MCC, you should link the account under that MCC.
See http://support.google.com/adwords/agency/bin/answer.py?hl=enanswer=7732
for
details. The API MCC will have full access to your data.
Alternately, you could invite a new user login to manage your account, and
give that login readonly access. Then share that login with Tenscores, and
then Tenscores will have only readonly access.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Furthermore, what restrictions can we place on access type. Is it complete

Re: Gettting Wrong Campaigns and statics for a valid AccountID?

2012-05-22 Thread Anash P. Oommen
HI,

The easiest way to debug the error is to turn on logging in your
App.config. Also, set maskCredentials as false. Then run your code, check
the logs, and ensure that you are sending the correct clientCustomerId
header. If you believe the issue is not at your end, then post a sanitized
request and response xml on this thread and I'll take a look.

Conversion tracking not enabled for campaign

2012-05-22 Thread Natalia
I am trying to test conversion tracking in sandbox, I know that's not
possible since I won't be eligible for it but still I want to check various
rejection reasons and stuff like that.
When trying to set it for a certain campaign I get: *
CONVERSION_TRACKING_NOT_ENABLED*
which I am unsure how to handle, since I've looked through through the API
and found no way to assign a specific conversion tracker to a specific
campaign, all I have are several trackers I created
which are enabled, so I'm a bit baffled as to how I am suppose to resolve
such a response.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Re: Google Ads APIs Client Libraries for python 3

2012-05-22 Thread Kevin Winter
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. We haven't looked too deeply into this, but a
quick search reveals that there are no good choices for a SOAP toolkit with
python 3 support:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7817303/whats-the-best-soap-library-for-python-3-x#comment11973645_7817303

Are you aware of other (successful) options? We're very leery of depending
on a 2to3 conversion of an existing toolkit. We tried running 2to3 against
our internally patched SOAPpy and it chokes on the wstools code - written
before strings had functions (python 2.2?) - from string import join, etc.
We'll investigate improving the existing toolkit usage to make 2to3
easier, but we won't be committing to python3 support in the near future.

Re: Adwords API, COM and VBA

2012-05-22 Thread Anash P. Oommen
Hi,

I've never tried doing com interop with the AdWords API .NET library, but I
think you will have better chances of making it work if you were to write a
simple com-interop utility library in VB.NET/C# that uses the client
library to perform tasks and call that utility library from VBA. If you use
the library as such, I suspect you will have issues when VBA tries to call
overloaded constructors, methods, etc. VBA isn't as object-oriented as
VB.NET.

See http://jumbloid.blogspot.in/2009/12/making-net-dll-com-visible.html for
details on how to write a comvisible assembly.

Cheers,

I've recompiled the Common and Adwords librairies with COM visibility, and

but I can't (don't know more exactly) how to call from VBA the
 ServiceSignature AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService. I
believe it's more a VB2VBA language conversion problem (object
 instantiation) than a API issue.

 Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

 Dim user As Google_AdWords.AdWordsUser

 Set user = New Google_AdWords.AdWordsUser

 ' Get the CreateAccountService.
   Dim createAccountService As
 Google_AdWords.Google_Api_Ads_AdWords_v201109_1_CreateAccountService

   Set createAccountService = user.GetService(...)

 The original code is :

   Dim createAccountService As CreateAccountService = user.GetService( _
   AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService)

Does anyone know how to go from the VB to the VBA code ?

Very precise question, but it seems to be my last issue before using
adwords api from VBA (Excel, Access)...

 Thanks for your help !

Is there something I'm missing that might explain why this is failing?

Re: Adwords API, COM and VBA

2012-05-22 Thread groucho
Hi,

Thanks for your answer. You're right and actually the main issue is about
static classes (like AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService) that
are not handled by COM and VBA.

Your solution will certainly work, and should be not to hard to code (I'm
not a .NET developer, but it seems reachable).

Thanks,

Anash,
Is it possible to grant API access to a single account with an MCC? At
present, there doesn't appear to be an option for that?

 Hi,

To grant API access to an MCC, you should link the account under that MCC.
 See
 http://support.google.com/adwords/agency/bin/answer.py?hl=enanswer=7732 for
details. The API MCC will have full access to your data.
Alternately, you could invite a new user login to manage your account, and
give that login readonly access. Then share that login with Tenscores, and
then Tenscores will have only readonly access.

 Hope this helps.

Furthermore, what restrictions can we place on access type. Is it

Hi Chirag,

Your are including many fields that will segment your report in multiple

Please read the section behavior of this
