Re: Granting API Access
Hi, To grant API access to an MCC, you should link the account under that MCC. See http://support.google.com/adwords/agency/bin/answer.py?hl=enanswer=7732 for details. The API MCC will have full access to your data. Alternately, you could invite a new user login to manage your account, and give that login readonly access. Then share that login with Tenscores, and then Tenscores will have only readonly access. Hope this helps. Cheers, Anash P. Oommen, AdWords API Advisor. HI, The easiest way to debug the error is to turn on logging in your App.config. Also, set maskCredentials as false. Re: Google Ads APIs Client Libraries for python 3
Hi, Thanks for the feedback. We haven't looked too deeply into this, but a quick search reveals that there are no good choices for a SOAP toolkit with python 3 support: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7817303/whats-the-best-soap-library-for-python-3-x#comment11973645_7817303 Are you aware of other (successful) options? We're very leery of depending on a 2to3 conversion of an existing toolkit. We tried running 2to3 against our internally patched SOAPpy and it chokes on the wstools code - written before strings had functions (python 2.2?) - from string import join, etc. We'll investigate improving the existing toolkit usage to make 2to3 easier, but we won't be committing to python3 support in the near future. - Kevin Winter AdWords API Team On Monday, May 21, 2012 1:45:45 AM UTC-4, Alex from NU wrote: Hi, I am working on a project that makes extensive use of client API's, including AdWords. Re: Adwords API, COM and VBA
Hi, I've never tried doing com interop with the AdWords API .NET library, but I think you will have better chances of making it work if you were to write a simple com-interop utility library in VB.NET/C# that uses the client library to perform tasks and call that utility library from VBA. If you use the library as such, I suspect you will have issues when VBA tries to call overloaded constructors, methods, etc. VBA isn't as object-oriented as VB.NET. See http://jumbloid.blogspot.in/2009/12/making-net-dll-com-visible.html for details on how to write a comvisible assembly. Cheers, Anash P. Oommen, AdWords API Advisor. Hi, Thanks for your answer. You're right and actually the main issue is about static classes (like AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService) that are not handled by COM and VBA. Your solution will certainly work, and should be not to hard to code (I'm not a .NET developer, but it seems reachable). Thanks, - DB. Le mardi 22 mai 2012 16:21:33 UTC+2, Anash P. Oommen a écrit : Hi, I've never tried doing com interop with the AdWords API .NET library, but I think you will have better chances of making it work if you were to write a simple com-interop utility library in VB.NET/C# that uses the client library to perform tasks and call that utility library from VBA. I hope I could write a complete walkthrough for VBA user after that. I've recompiled the Common and Adwords librairies with COM visibility, and trying to make a simple AccountCreation example conversion from VB to VBA but I can't (don't know more exactly) how to call from VBA the ServiceSignature AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService. I believe it's more a VB2VBA language conversion problem (object instantiation) than a API issue. The original code is : Dim createAccountService As CreateAccountService = user.GetService( _ AdWordsService.v201109_1.CreateAccountService) Does anyone know how to go from the VB to the VBA code ? Very precise question, but it seems to be my last issue before using adwords api from VBA (Excel, Access)... Re: Granting API Access
Anash, Is it possible to grant API access to a single account with an MCC? At present, there doesn't appear to be an option for that? Dave. On Tuesday, May 22, 2012 11:40:48 AM UTC+1, Anash P. Oommen wrote: Hi, To grant API access to an MCC, you should link the account under that MCC. Re: Report with day field
Hi Chirag, Your are including many fields that will segment your report in multiple rows (i.e. 'AdNetworkType1', 'AdNetworkType2', 'Date') Please read the section behavior of this reference https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports for more information.
