The communities missing are: Asturias, Comunidad de Madrid, Balearic

Re: campaignService.mutate exception, customer id required

2012-12-05 Thread David Torres
Hi Hum,

Apologies for the delays, you apply for an Advertiser account by going to
http://adwords.google.com and hit the START NOW button at the top right
corner. Keep in mind that you can't use the same login/email you used to
apply for your developer/MCC account.

I'm really sorry to hear you saying the API is poorly documented, it will
really help us if you give us clear examples of what are you talking about.

All the code examples should work with test accounts, tests account are
like production accounts but don't serve ads.

Could you please *email* me you MCC account id, the one you used to apply
for API access, I'll make sure to follow up in it.

Best,

- David

Re: Test Campaigns

2012-12-05 Thread David Torres
Hi Jose,

About your test cases, if you are talking about switching campaigns in a
test account to CPA bidding, unfortunately this is not possible. Test
accounts don't serve therefore you won't be able to generate
impressions/clicks/conversions in them. If you need an end-to-end test for
this type of CPA bidding you will need to use a real account, but I
recommend you coding integration tests in this case instead, mocking out
the calls to the AdWords API.

Test accounts are not meant to be inspected in the UI.

Best,

- David Torres - AdWords API Advisor

Another question, although it has been said that campaign created with
test accounts are not real campaigns, in the web interface we keep having
warnings about the account is not active because we haven't entered our
billing information and stuff like that. Shouldn't they be discarded for
 test accounts ?

Re: Steps to start with Test Account

2012-12-05 Thread Takeshi Hagikura
When retrieving AdWordsUser, you should specify clientCustomerId (When you
filled in when you applied for test accounts).
and the developerToken is also the one you filled in the
formhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ERbljbb88ceyqU1gw2zN0KNI8Ltu5ASwo17M0wp0Ztg/viewform?id=1ERbljbb88ceyqU1gw2zN0KNI8Ltu5ASwo17M0wp0Ztg
.
You'll make a request toward production environment, the way constructing
the AdWordsUser is different from the way of sandbox.

So the example snippet goes like this

AdWordsUser(username, passcode, clientCustomerId(You filled in when you
applied for test accounts), ,
 Your developer token, true)

You can confirm whether you are using test accounts, you see api cost is 0
in your response.
