Hello,

now that labels are supported in AdWords Script
(),

is there already a timeframe for inclusion of the feature into the API?

Thanks and cheers,

Access to Test Account

2013-01-23 Thread AcidPAT
I added an Account to our MCC, and filled out the form to make this a Test
Account.

I immediately started running the sample application with this Account ID,
I can only get as far as "QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP @ ;
trigger:''"

>From other posts in this forum, it seems that this type of error is
associated with the MCC account, not the Test Account.
However, I ca not find anything missing from our MCC account setup.

Help Appreciated,

Find all customers who use adwords api managing their campaigns

2013-01-23 Thread Sittichai Jiampojamarn
Hi,

I'd like to find all customer ids (CIDs) who use AdWords API managing their
campaigns. I was wondering if we can find that information from either from
F1 ads database, sstable, bigtable, etc. I was trying to dig a bit in F1.
One table name looks like it is
F1:CustomerApiUser but then it contains only 37k customers --

select count(distinct(info.customer_id)) from CustomerApiUser

does it sound right?

Any pointer would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Sittichai

Re: INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP error

2013-01-23 Thread Cristi Mihailescu
Hello,

I'm facing the same situation as NewAdWorsUser
*
*My MCC appears to be set up properly, it has billing information specified
at the manager level, for Manager ID: 941-992-1485.
The Developer Token is still in "Pending approval" state, though.

When I run the v201209.GetCampaigns sample with the Client ID: 934-614-4551
I get the message* QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP*.
So, what's wrong:
1. The Developer Token must be approved first? or / and:
2. I have to pass billing information for the client, too?

Also, I've submitted the form for a "Test Account" ( Client
ID: 186-121-2518 ).
If I run the above sample, v201209.GetCampaigns, for an *approved "Test
Account"*, although the *Developer Token is in "Pending approval"*, it will
return QuotaCheckError.INCOMPLETE_SIGNUP, too?

Thank you.
Cristi

Authorization Method

2013-01-23 Thread Marcos Placona
Hi, I've just got back to working on an integration with the Adwords API,
and realized it had to be upgraded (from v201109).

This was previously a prototype application, that is now scheduled to come
to life, and what I've noticed is that there's been a big leap from v201109
to v201209 in terms of authentication.

By reading Takeshi's reply
here,
it became clear that the entire concept of sandbox has now been phased out,
and we now work on the basis of having a test account.

Initially on my prototype I was only using ClientLogin as
the AuthorizationMethod through a test account. However, with the new
authentication I've realized I will actually have to use our actual live
MCC account with a test account as described
here
.

All well and good, I've got the account created, and have requested
permission to use it as a test account. However using the live credentials
on:

Isn't an option... :-(

I then thought about requesting an OAuth key pair in order to use them on
my application instead. All the documentation I found about getting one of
those seems a bit rough around the edges, so I'm not really sure how to get
one of those without actually making my application request it. Ideally,
I'd like to go somewhere, generate it, and then use it on my config file as
such.

Is that even possible? If so, where can I generate the OAuth keys?

Thanks in advance,

Marcos

Make sure to also provide the developer token (even if it is not yet
approved).

Re: Oauth2 jwt ruby issue

2013-01-23 Thread Danial Klimkin
Hello Thomas, Richard,

For Ruby, the library fails to pass PRN personalization email address. As
such, there is no way to identify which account you are authorizing
against. For Java, please create a new thread and library authors will get
back to you.

Richard, please follow up on the bug, I'll update it once the fix is out.

Re: API not pulling data from sub mcc account in google adword

2013-01-23 Thread Danial Klimkin
Hello Sagar,

Unfortunately MCC-level requests are currently not available for Test
Accounts. Standard access should be enough to make those calls in
production though.

As per error, yes, you need an approved developer token to access non-test
accounts.

Re: What programming language for a newbie?

2013-01-23 Thread Takeshi Hagikura (AdWords API Team)
Hello Billy,

You can choose any language you want. I strongly recommend to use one of
the client
libraries
.
It allows you easily make requests without care about underlying soap
protocol.

As for the account level budget, currently we only have
BudgetOrderService
 to
query account's monthly budget.
(Note: that is whitelist basis Service)

Using CampaignService, you can query campaign level budgets.

As for the date spend, you can use AdHoc
reports (e.g.
Account performance report) looking at the cost column.

Best,
- Takeshi

Hi I am using v2.0.50727 of the adwords api and I think it's giving me the
incorrect volume for some keywords.

An example would be boys watches which is giving zero volume for the last
12 months why is this? I am using exact matching uk.

Re: "Other Search Terms"

2013-01-23 Thread Oliver
You can't retrieve 'other search terms' through the API.

What you're seeing is very strange indeed! Are you sure you always had the
close variants switched off?

My gut feeling is the search partners network is causing this as the way
search partners do the matching can sometimes not follow the rules.

Re: v201209 Logger Example in Google Ads APIs Client Library for Java

2013-01-23 Thread Stamatina Thomaidou

Up until now we were using the Loggers that are mentioned in the FAQ(
com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.client.AdWordsServiceClient.soapXmlLogger and
com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.client.AdWordsServiceClient.requestInfoLogger.)

The problem is that now we are trying to import them and after the
com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.client.AdWordsServiceClient we cannot find the
corresponding classes of soapXmlLogger and requestInfoLogger.

The only logger that we can use now is the
com.google.api.ads.common.lib.utils.logging.AdsServiceLoggers

Could you post a sanitized (blank out developer and auth tokens) sample

 Hi Simon,
The ManagedCustomerService uses a Generic Selector (unlike the

 the CM namespace:

 You will need an xmlns='
 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201206' on the
serviceSelector element (I believe) - just like how you specify the cm

Might I recommend the VB.net client

The keyword level status does not reflect the ad group or the campaign

I have less impressions than platform

2013-01-23 Thread Federico J. Sutin Citterio
When we export the Ads Performance Data through Adwords API, we get less
impression from some Ads than adwords.google.com.
Does this have anything to do with some Ads being deleted or rejected.
Should the impressions be redirected or lost when the Ads get deleted or
rejected?

Re: CustomerSyncService: 1 campaign with a 1 second range causing TOO_MANY_CHANGES error

2013-01-23 Thread Kevin Winter (AdWords API Team)
Hi,
The CustomerSyncService retains the last 30 days of changes. We
recommend downloading the account structure and then sync using the
CustomerSyncService more frequently than 30 days (i.e. once a day or week).
If you need to sync for a longer time period, it's better to download the
account structure fresh.

Re: click fraud

2013-01-23 Thread Kevin Winter (AdWords API Team)
Unfortunately, this click fraud detection is not currently separated out in
the API. You could download the report a few days apart and diff the
numbers to see how they change.

Re: Create reports filtered on remarketing lists

2013-01-23 Thread Kevin Winter (AdWords API Team)
Hi Stéphane,
  A
RemarketingUserList
 can
be created via the UserListService and tied to a
ConversionTrackerwith
 a
UserListConversionType.

The RemarketingUserList is a criteria that will match CriteriaType of
USER_LIST in the Criteria
report.

You can add a predicate to only see USER_LIST criteria in that report,
thereby looking at the performance of remarketing lists.

Re: Adgroup filtered by clicks

2013-01-23 Thread Kevin Winter (AdWords API Team)
Predicates should be ANDed together when multiple are used. You need to
specify a
dateRangewhen
filtering using a metric such as clicks. Please try adding a date
range.

Re: v201209 Logger Example in Google Ads APIs Client Library for Java

2013-01-23 Thread Kevin Winter (AdWords API Team)
What are you trying to do with the loggers? They are bound via guice. You
could gain access to the logger by calling
LoggerFactory.getLoggerwith
the name of the logger if you really wanted to log to the exact same
logger. In general, you'd want to define your own logger so you could
filter or otherwise handle the two logging sources differently. The intent
is that you use a log4j.properties (such as this
one)

to manage where the log output goes.

Re: Empty adType attribute for html5 ad

I'm running into this problem for some new ads we're running. The ad type
attribute is blank. I'd love to get it fixed or figure out what to do to
get the proper ad type out of the report.

My guess is that the reporting hasn't caught up with the latest ad

 blank.

Hello,

Yes, you can configure it using
TargetingSettingDetail
.
Setting "targetAll" to true means target all positive criteria.
