Re: Google Analytics column titles have been updated to match the Adwords user interface 201502 migration

2015-05-04 Thread Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)
Hello Kristopher,

Google Analytics https://developers.google.com/analytics/ provides
information about user interaction with your business. It also has an API
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/ to retrieve
reports. Check out AdWords in Google Analytics
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/dimsmets#cats=adwords
 to
see the columns that can be retrieved. At one time, these column names did
not align with the AdWords API; they have been updated to match the AdWords
API.

Cheers,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Re: Changing bids for individual keywords , using experment compare the results and if necessary to remove unsuccessful experments

2015-05-04 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

Are you sure that the report is returning zero rows? I think it's more
likely that it's actually returning an error because there are certain
field combinations that are not allowed. Please see this other forum post
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/adwords-api/33lf7hvGtGY/bBHU6UbQrg0J for
more details.

In general, you probably want to avoid selecting *every* field that's
available for a report, not only because of the field combination issue,
but also because selecting every field will make your reports run longer
because AdWords will have to retrieve a great deal of data for every row.
I'd recommend choosing the fields that are actually of interest to you, and
limiting your report request to just include those fields.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Can you Clarify? me on-

download ImageAd from display campaign

2015-05-04 Thread Evgeni
Hi,

I'm wondering whether there is a way to save the unique set of images which
were used for ImageAds objects for, lets say, a single campaign using API?

For example, I have a campaign 'C', which contains 2 ad groups 'A1' and
'A2'. Ad group 'A1' has 2 image ads (created from 1.jpg and 2.jpg). Ad
group 'A2' has 2 image ads, as well, which were created using
'adToCopyImageFrom'
property of an ImageAd object which are values of ids property of image ads
from 'A1'.

Now I want to export those images used in campaign 'C' and save them
*locally* as 'z.jpeg' and 'w.jpeg' Is it doable with the API calls?
If yes - please point to the relevant classes.

Thanks in advance.

String query = SELECT

try {
response = new ReportDownloader(session).downloadReport(query,
DownloadFormat.CSV);
response.saveToFile(reportFile);

} catch (ReportDownloadResponseException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}

which returns feeditem details with atleast one click.

Call Only extensions Migration

2015-05-04 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello everyone. A few months ago, we announced
http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2015/02/new-callonly-creative-type-in-adwords.html

the new CallOnlyAd
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201502/AdGroupAdService.CallOnlyAd

as a replacement for the existing ONLY placeholder type
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/placeholders#call.

We've had a lot of requests for an example of how this could be
accomplished.

Here's an image of the web interface to help visualize how the old fields
and extensions relate to the fields on the new ad type:

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gZ5r69ZPn2g/VUeycKgfV0I/AB4/uuYnEhLM3-4/s1600/callonlymapping.png

In addition, the following Java snippets can help you use the AdWords API
to migrate to the new format. You can use this general flow in any of the
client libraries; this is just a sample of what migration code might look
like and how to map from the old information to the new information. Please
note that these are only intended as a guideline and should be
amended/extended to the needs and specifics of your platform. Please make
sure to take care of additional campaign data (e.g. other extensions,
labels). We also recommend to create the new campaigns in paused state and
check the results of the migration before activating them/deleting the
legacy ones.

 This also makes me wonder - when I ask for an account performance

 This particular change in behavior has made the transition to the

Re: How to add an Audience into the Ad Group

2015-05-04 Thread Raghavendra Soudala (AdWords API Team)
Hi Jason,

To add an audience into the Ad Group you should use a
BiddableAdGroupCriterion
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201502/AdGroupCriterionService.BiddableAdGroupCriterion
 where *criterion* = a CriterionUserList with userListId set
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201502/AdGroupCriterionService.CriterionUserList
. If you need to find the user list ID, use AdwordsUserListService.get
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201502/AdwordsUserListService#get
.

As a starting point you you can use the AddKeywords example
https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgoogleads%2Fgoogleads-java-lib%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2Fexamples%2Fadwords_axis%2Fsrc%2Fmain%2Fjava%2Fadwords%2Faxis%2Fv201502%2Fbasicoperations%2FAddKeywords.javasa=Dsntz=1usg=AFQjCNEklQNXFnR1E0AC3Rk_HrAE2Uae6g
 to
write AddAudience since it is the same approach, but make sure you use a
*CriterionUserList* instead of a *Keyword*. If you face any issues just let
me know.

Cheers,
Raghavendra, AdWords API Team.

Re: AdWords Data Get Through Web Service

2015-05-04 Thread raghavendra soudala
Hi Pravin

Yes, you can! All you have to do is just create an ASP.NET service, add
reference to the library, and make API calls. For reference there is an
asp.net code example in the OAuth folder
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/tree/master/examples/AdWords/CSharp
 of
code examples in C# that might be helpful.

In addition, I'd recommend going through the .NET client library README
https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgoogleads%2Fgoogleads-dotnet-lib%23how-do-i-startsa=Dsntz=1usg=AFQjCNFGv7e5PAWweAhvRjOlDUvnVj5S4g
 for
instructions on setting up your project.

Cheers.

Re: How to add a template ad into the ad group

2015-05-04 Thread Raghavendra Soudala (AdWords API Team)
HI Jason

Template ID 190 is not currently supported in the AdWords API. However, here
is a list of the supported template ads
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/templateads.

For an example of how to add a *TemplateAd* using the API, check out the
*AddClickToDownloadAd* example in the *advancedoperations* folder of the client
library https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/clientlibraries you
are using, e.g., the Java example is here
https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgoogleads%2Fgoogleads-java-lib%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2Fexamples%2Fadwords_axis%2Fsrc%2Fmain%2Fjava%2Fadwords%2Faxis%2Fv201502%2Fadvancedoperations%2FAddClickToDownloadAd.javasa=Dsntz=1usg=AFQjCNH98Ow3JpHMpUV4ODvQlpd4N5hryg

Re: MutateJobService - slow response

2015-05-04 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi GDZ,

Do you have the *requestId* from the response of one of your
*MutateJobService* requests that took 50 seconds? I'd like to take a look
at it from our side.

One thing to keep in mind is that the benefits of *MutateJobService* go
beyond just quickly submitting large requests. Although it does allow you
to fire and forget large changes, it also attempts to handle transient
errors such as concurrent modification errors and rate limit errors.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

 Wasn't the idea of this service to just submit operations in bulk quickly,
 and only after that periodically check for job status and result?

 50 sec for just submitting (not actual processing) of 1000 operations
 seems kinda too much. And yes I know that we can do that concurrently but
 still...

 Thank you,
 GDZ

Re: Need to get details of feeditems with 0 clicks

2015-05-04 Thread Raghavendra Soudala (AdWords API Team)
Hi Nitish,

You may want to take a look at our Zero Impressions guide
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/zero-impression-reports,

which explains how you can include or exclude report data without
impressions.

Also, the Report Types list
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports indicates
whether each field on a given report supports zero impressions. In your
particular case, the AdGroupId, AdGroupName, CampaignId, and CampaignName
fields do *not* support zero impressions.

If you want to see customizer feed information for items without any
impressions or clicks, make sure you only request fields where *Supports
zero impressions* is *true*.

Cheers,
Raghavendra, AdWords API Team.

 Just for the reference, code i am trying is :

 ReportDownloadResponse response = null;

 String query = SELECT
 CampaignId,CampaignName,AdGroupId,AdGroupName,FeedId,FeedItemId,Clicks,Impressions

 + FROM AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT
 + DURING TODAY;

 try {
 response = new ReportDownloader(session).downloadReport(query,
 DownloadFormat.CSV);
 response.saveToFile(reportFile);

 } catch (ReportDownloadResponseException e) {
 e.printStackTrace();
 }

 which returns feeditem details with atleast one click.

 Thanks,

Re: Changing bids for individual keywords , using experment compare the results and if necessary to remove unsuccessful experments

2015-05-04 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Sunny,

To find which reports have the *AdNetworkType2* field, please refer to the
Report
Types page https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports
.

Regarding your second question, you aren't limited to running a report for
a single day. You can either:

   1. Choose one of the date range enums that covers multiple days

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#date-ranges,
   such as *THIS_MONTH*, or
   2. Specify a dateRangeType of CUSTOM_DATE, then set the min and max on
   the dateRange in your Selector.

In addition, many of the reports allow you to include the *Date* field,
which will break up reporting results by day.

Cheers,
Josh, AdWords API Team

 Hi Josh,

 Thanks for your reply again. Yes, my report field combination is not

 Can you Clarify? me on-

- For *AdNetworkType2*, which report i have to query?
- Is there any easy way to get data (e.g if i need only cost/click)
day by day without downloading reports for every day?

 Thank again for you current reply man.

 Thanks.

Re: Need Developer token for existing product account

2015-05-04 Thread Raghavendra Soudala (AdWords API Team)
Hi Pravin

You need to have an MCC account
http://www.google.com/adwords/myclientcenter/(not a regular AdWords
account) to sign up for a dev token.

If you are already using an MCC, you won't be able to access dev token as
read-only user (the AdWords API Center won't appear for read-only users).
If you need any further help just let me know.

Cheers,
Raghavendra, AdWords Api Team.
