Getting error USER_PERMISSION_DENIED.

2016-02-02 Thread Derek Gray
I have a tool that runs daily to pull reports on each client in the MCC,
this had been working fine until yesterday (this had previously ran since
October), now I get USER_PERMISSION_DENIED when looping through clients.
I'm unaware of any changes to the API access.

The exact error I'm getting is: InnerException = {"The remote server
returned an error: (400) Bad Request."} however there have been no changes
to the code and we have been using v201509 for a couple of months.

Cheers,
DG

API usage for consumer app

2016-02-02 Thread Taneem Taldar
Hi - I scanned through previous topics and did not see this answered.

I want to build a consumer app for small businesses. Part of my experience
will create ads pointing to my customer's websites (they will provide the
copy and the exact links through my app).

Do the terms of the API allow me to do this? I do not want to make each
customer create a new adwords account before being able to use my app's
functionality.

Thanks,
Taneem

Re: API returns me 0 results for keyword 'sport' (with Italian parameters)

2016-02-02 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi Biagio,

As far as I could find, the behaviour is consistent for the API and UI, so
it's more a question of possibly missing traffic data. This is better
handled on the product forum, since the API simply exposes the data that
the UI does. Could you kindly repost on the product
forum? https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,

Announcing v201601 of the AdWords API

2016-02-02 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Today we’re announcing the release of AdWords API v201601
. This
is the first release that follows the new release schedule announced
earlier this month
.

Here are the highlights:

   - *Reporting improvements.* Several new fields were added to the
   VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

.

New quality score and first position bid fields were added to the
   CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

and KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

,

   and a new PARENTAL_STATUS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

 was
added. See the reporting section of the release notes

for
the complete list of changes, including all fields removed or added in this
   release.
   - *Improved batch processing.* The BatchJobService

 was
improved to reduce latency when uploading operations for a job. Check out
   the updated Batch Processing guide
    for
   details.
   - *Managing customer accounts.* You can now update the
   ManagedCustomer.name

 of
accounts under your account manager using a SET operation.
   - *Advanced conversions.* You can control whether the Conversions column
and conversion-based bid strategies include cross-device conversions
    via the new
   optimizeOnEstimatedConversions

 attribute
   ofCustomer.conversionTrackingSettings

   .
   - *Enhanced CPC bidding.* Setting the enhancedCpcEnabled attribute

 of
a ManualCpcBiddingScheme is now supported in the API. Previously, this
   setting was read-only.
   - *Targeting.* The new Parent

 criteria
type is available for targeting and bidding according to a user's parental
status on the Display Network. In addition, ConstantDataService

 now
supports retrieving the lists ofmobile app category

and new smartphone user

criteria.

If you’re using v201506 of the AdWords API, please note that it’s being
sunset on
April 11th, 2016 as previously announced
.

We encourage you to skip v201509 and migrate straight to v201601.

As with every new version of the AdWords API, we encourage you to carefully
review all changes in the release notes
 and the
v201601
migration guide
.
The updated client libraries
 and code
examples will be published shortly. With this release, we’ve also updated
the Required Minimum Functionality document
 to include
some of the newly added features.

If you have any questions or need help with migration, please post on the
forum or the Ads
Developers Plus Page .

behalf of the AdWords API Team

Re: API usage for consumer app

2016-02-02 Thread Anthony Madrigal
Hi Taneem,

Please have a look at our Required Minimum Functionality
. You will
want to use a *Full-Service Tool. *

Here are examples of some demo applications.

Cheers,

Cannot Create Similar User List: USER_LIST_MUTATE_NOT_SUPPORTED

2016-02-02 Thread ralph
I am attempting to allow users to create a SimilarUserList to a list they
already have. I send a mutate ADD operation with the seedListId, and
receive [UserListError.USER_LIST_MUTATE_NOT_SUPPORTED @
operations[0].operand].

Does this mean that one cannot programmatically create a SimilarUserList?
The docs make it seem like you can as it says the seedListId is required
when using operator ADD:

seedUserListId

Filterable
ReadOnly
Required
Selectable

xsd:long

Seed UserListId from which this list is derived. This field can be selected
using the value "SeedUserListId". This field can be filtered on. This field
is read only and will be ignored when sent to the API for the following
Operator
s:

SET. This field is required and should not be null when it is contained w
ithin Operator
s

: ADD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
