Report from API different than {placement}

2017-01-03 Thread Mike-Indiana
Hello, this discrepancy seems to have existed for several years, I thought
that I would post.

Pulling AUTOMATIC_PLACEMENTS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT will yield non-www. domains
in the report for 'Domain'. For example, google.com

However when using valuetrack {placement} in ads, a click may yield either
google.com or www.google.com. However in the reports, it will not return
the www. version and assign the click data to the other.

*In short*, it would be kind if the API placements report would reflect the
same variable as valuetrack. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it an
issue on my setup?

Re: What sort of Status changes are permitted to TextAds effective January 31, 2017?

2017-01-03 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

There had been no mentioned restrictions as to which AdGroupAd.Status

 value
can be passed to the SET operator for the Text Ads. You may continue to
update the Text Ad's status with any value stated in the documentation. I
hope this helps.

Thanks and regards,

What sort of Status changes are permitted to TextAds effective January 31, 2017?

2017-01-03 Thread adivenuti
Hello,

I've read in the following AdWords Developer Blog post that the only
changes to existing Text Ads that will be allowed in any supported AdWords
API version on or after January 31, 2017 - are changes to the TextAd's
Status

http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2016/09/more-time-for-upgrading-your-standard.html

Are there be any special restrictions to the values that may be assigned to
the AdGroupAdService.AdGroupAd.status

 field
in the "set" operation? For example, will the "set" only be allowed by the
API if the value of the "status" is being updated to DISABLED?

Thank you

Re: Adwords API Video campaigns

2017-01-03 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Elżbieta,

Video campaigns are currently not supported by AdWords API services. You
can, however, use the Video Performance Report

 to
fetch aggregated data at the video level. Campaign specific information for
video campaigns can be found in Campaign Performance Report
.

Please filter on the field AdvertisingChannelType

 in
the report as follows:

AdvertisingChannelType = Video

Unfortunately, I do not have more information on whether or not video
campaigns would be supported by CampaignService any time soon. Please
follow our blog for future
updates regarding this feature.

Creating AdWords rich media display ads

2017-01-03 Thread Jana Lyon
Hi there,

I am having a bit of trouble finding out how to create an 'HTML5' ad for
AdWords. As a front-end developer, making the actual banner isn't a problem
- it is knowing what platform specific hooks need to be included. I am
making some ads for a client who will be trafficking the ads themselves.

Usually I create (hand code) banners for use in DoubleClick (I don't use
GWD or anything like that, just simple HTML, CSS and JS), so there are
certain API hooks that need to be included for tracking purposes, otherwise
the ad won't pass quality assurance. Are there any for AdWords? Or do I
just create a rich media banner that will then be wrapped in something that
will do the tracking?

Any help or tutorial suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

want to upload sitelinks using googleads-php-lib

I tried using the following example:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201609/Extensions/AddSitelinks.php
.

My steps.
1. Create project in api console and create credentials type other. clientId
and clientSecret
i copied to [OATH2] section in adsapi_php.ini.
2.I turned on all adwords apis in project.
3. I got developer token and copied it with client id to [ADWORDS]
section in adsapi_php.ini.
4. I also obtained the refresh token using the code found in
GetRefreshToken.php
and I copied to [OATH2] section in adsapi_php.ini.

But when executing the scripts I get the following 400 response:

Exeption 400 Bad Request` response: { "error": "invalid_client",
"error_description": "Bad Request" } after line $customers =
$customerService->getCustomers();
