Re: Custom Affinity in Criteria perfomance report

2017-03-09 Thread Igor Selitskiy
Hi, Thanet.

Good news!
I don't see this data now. Should we switch to the latest version (201702)
for Custom Affinity?
I suppose that we use 201609.

As for Ad Performance Report, you can't get the the criterion ID
 directly.
Mapping the ID with other reports or using Selectors

 is needed.

Re: Issues with BatchJobService - jobs remain stuck

2017-03-09 Thread Stefan Kleine Stegemann

Hi Josh,

i turned out that the jobs eventually went through, it just took very long
(around 3 hours). Here are some job ids:

458099621
458108326
458358726
458161757

This morning, everything went back to normal and jobs go through as the
weeks before. So no issue any more at the moment.

Thanks for taking care of this.

Best,
Stefan

Recently we've been experienceing error of getting 0 number entries while
getting BatchJobPage for bid modifier opertions.

Example Soap:

It's werid that we only bid modifier opertions are getting this, max bid
opertions are not affected.

And this issue started from 2017-03-02 until now, and we didn't modify any
logic in our code aroujnd this logic.

There is no logic change around that time in our code but it continously

I've checked other posts in the form and tried to use BatchJobPage and
tried to use no selector to get all the onflight jobs, and the specific job

The traffic estimates will depend on the bid set in the request. There
could be a number of reasons why the traffic forecasts may be different

I'll be able to dig deeper. Please use *Reply privately to author* when

Re: New campaign ids from change history

2017-03-09 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Eshwar,

Unfortunately, using CustomerSyncService
,
 you
cannot fetch only the changed campaigns directly. The best way to achieve
this is by following this example

 and
checking for CampaignChangeData.campaignChangeStatus

 value
= 'NEW'. As an alternative, you can download the Campaign Performance
Report and filter on StartDate
.
 Please
revert if you have additional questions or concerns.

TrafficEstimatorService - Results seem to be WAY off from existing adgroup history

2017-03-09 Thread Steven Hong
Anyone please help!

We have begun experimenting with the TrafficEstimatorService. When given an
existing campaign, adgroup and corresponding keywords - the forecasted
estimates seem to be way off from historic averages. I understand that
forecasts will necessarily be a little different than history - but these
differences are too large to be explained by simple volatility.

We call the estimator passing in an existing campaign ID, existing adgroup
ID all the existing keywords in that adgroup with their match types, and
with the existing adgroup max CPC (we don't set keyword max CPCs in our
account).

We do not set criterion, budget or networksetting as we would like to use
the settings of the existing campaign and adgroup in our account.

We believe that the results returned should at least be in the same order
of magnitude of the recent history of the adgroup since we are using the
same Max CPC. This is not the case.

For example, if we average all the min / max estimates at the platform
level and total them up (tablet, mobile, desktop), we might get a total
cost per day of $0.68. Where in reality the total cost per day is
averaging $18.00. These aren't in the same ballpark.

Question 1: Why are the numbers so different?

In addition, this particular adgroup has a bid modifier of tablet -100%.
So no tablet traffic should ever see this adgroup. However the estimator
says that some traffic will see it and click on it.

Question 2: Does the traffic estimator ignore bid mofifiers in the adgroup
settings?

Hi Subin,

Could you please let me know the programming language that you are using?
Also, please confirm if you are using one of our client libraries
. Steps to
enable logging would be specific to the language that you are using. For
Java, you could follow the steps listed in this
 document.

If you navigate to the 'Source' in the respective client library (linked

for that library. If you have difficulty finding that, please write back
with the details.

Re: How to get information of only changed campaign from change history using CustomerSyncService?

2017-03-09 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Eshwar,

The CustomerSyncService

 will return all the campaigns

 irrespective
of whether it was changed or not. However, you can use the
CampaignChangeStatus

 to
determine if the campaign was changed, added new etc. The AdGroups that
were not changed will be ignored by this service. Unfortunately, there is
no other API service which returns the changed values. If you are
interested, you can check the sample

 for
CustomerSyncService (Java). Samples in other languages can be found here
.

The CustomerSyncService will always return a CustomerChangeData

 object,
which then has further sub-objects for CampaignChangeData

 and AdGroupChangeData
.

You can find changed ads and criteria (including keywords) in the
AdGroupChangeData

.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Re: API call request rate limit reached

2017-03-09 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, there is no way to directly check how many operations were
performed on your side. A workaround would be to count the number of
operations in your code based on this this sheet
.
Also, the retryAfterSeconds

 check is
a limit set by the system and cannot be changed or overridden.

If your project requires performing more than 10,000 operations per day
using your developer token, please feel free to apply for Standard Access
here
.

Standard Access allows you to perform unlimited number of operations per
day using your developer token. Please note that this will only avoid any
possible future RateExeededErrors with the DEVELOPER rateScope

 and
you may still see errors with the ACCOUNT rateScope, which means you might
be performing too many operations on your AdWords account in a short
duration of time. In that case, the best measure would be to slow down

the
frequency of requests by taking control of your application.

If this information doesn't help, could you please provide me with the
following so that I can look further?

   - rateName & rateScope fields from the RateExceededError alert
   - Any SOAP XML request and response logs that you might have

2017-03-09 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Alex,

If you are not looking for totals in your report, you don't need to worry
about setting 'skipReportSummary' attribute. To address your question about
not getting the totals, you should be able to see the totals in your report
unless
the 'skipReportSummary
'

is explicitly set to 'true' in your code. If you are observing a different
behavior, please use *Reply privately to author* and share the complete
report definition starting from* "authorization: REDACTED , user-agent:
"*.

If you have not enabled logging yet, please check the instructions listed
here

.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

2017-03-09 Thread Eshwar Chettri
Hi,

present in adwords then using CampaignChangeData it returns the changed
field from changed history,I want to know how can we get only the campaign
ids of changed campaign and newly added campaign from changed
history.(instead of getting all the campaign Ids then filtering can we get
only the Ids of those campaign which we changed or added newly and also the

Thanks & Regards,

CalloutFeedItem issue on v201702

2017-03-09 Thread Eric Kwok
Hi,

My program get error when I change to use AdWords API from v201609 to
v201702.

Please see below the program code first:
function A:
final List items = this.createSiteLinkFeedItems(lang,
storeId);
final ExtensionSetting setting = new ExtensionSetting();
setting.setExtensions(items.toArray(new SitelinkFeedItem[items.size()]));

function B:
final List items = this.createCalloutFeedItems(lang,
storeId);
final ExtensionSetting setting = new ExtensionSetting();
setting.setExtensions(items.toArray(new CalloutFeedItem[items.size()]));

When using v201609, it works fine, both SitelinkFeedItem and
CalloutFeedItem list items can be set into ExtensionSetting.

When using v201702, it gets error:
The method setExtensions(ExtensionFeedItem[]) in the type ExtensionSetting
is not applicable for the arguments (CalloutFeedItem[])

Does anyone know what happen to this?

Thanks

Eric

Re: API call request rate limit reached

It possible to see how many requests I've made, as I've got the
RATE_EXCEEDED again but I don't believe I should have anywhere near 10,000
hits.
Also, how can I change my retryAfterSeconds

?

Re: SearchImpressionShare actual value instead of "< 10%"

2017-03-09 Thread Alexandros Gouvatsos
Hi,

In the 'Reporting Basics' documentation of Adwords API it mentions that if
the 'skipReportSummary' attribute is false or not specified (in my case I
don't specify it), then the report will include the summary row. However,
there is no summary row.

I'm using the .NET C# libraries for the Adwords API and my report request
is segmented by Date as well (hence why I need to calculate the totals).

Thanks in advance,
Alex
