GMB Extensions, can't use personal account?

2017-04-25 Thread JC Lee
In the
guide,
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/feed-services-locations#google_my_business:

The account id is specified as: businessAccountIdentifier

There's also a personal account in GMB. Does this mean that I can't use the
personal account id for location feed?

Re: Clone a campaign using only API

2017-04-25 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Emanuele,

Unfortunately, I don't have a complete list of these dependencies. I
addition to the guide
 on
objects and its hierarchy, you could also check this

 section
about campaign data. The AdWords API is designed in such a way that any
service can only be used to create or manage that particular type of
object(s). Hence, CampaignService will return data pertaining to campaign
and not it's nested objects. I am afraid, there isn't a easy way as in the
AdWords web interface to clone the campaign including all it's nested
objects.

An alternate option would be to clone a campaign via web interface and then
check the change history to see the details of that operation. This should
give you an idea about what all needs to be copied and verified once you
are done with the clone.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Re: Clone a campaign using only API

2017-04-25 Thread Emanuele Bragagnolo
Hi Sreelakshmi

Ok, I understand that the campaign can contain different objects. The point
is that such objects are not returned in the CampaignService.get(). To
figure out which objects are contained inside a campaign I need to query
for example the AdGroupService, CampaignCriterionService, AdGroupAdService
filtering in the predicate for the campaignId as you suggested in the
previous mail.

Now to know which services to query I need a complete list of all the
different kinds of objects that can be contained in a campaign. Otherwise
my "cloned" campaigns will have less objects than expected and will not be
a full copy of the original

Best regards, Emanuele

Re: Click Report vs Criteria Report - Difference in Number of Clicks

2017-04-25 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Click performance Report includes both valid and invalid clicks. If you see
a difference in the total number of clicks in Click Performance Report and
the value from the Clicks field in Campaign Performance Report, it's most
likely because some clicks were considered invalid
. I would suggest
that you request for Clicks

 and InvalidClicks

 from
either Campaign Performance Report or Account Performance Report and use
this sum when comparing the total number of clicks in the Click Performance
Report.

If you still see a difference in the total number of clicks, please provide
the complete report definition used to download your reports along with
your clientCustomerId and a sample of campaigns for which you see this
difference. Please use *Reply privately to author* when responding.

Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: Shopping Performance Report returns same product twice

2017-04-25 Thread Firma Lemundo
Hi Thanet,

CategoryL5 is just one example, this seems to be happening for almost all
product related attributes.

I guess the intended functionality is to show that a product changed at
some point in time, but this is very misguiding as I would not expect to
get the same product twice (it has the same OfferId...) without the
information at what point it was changed or what time range we are talking
about.

This might be a case where it would be useful to have a parameter to set,
something like "showProductChanges = true/false".

At the very least, there should be a possibility to distinguish at what
point in time the product changed, so for example:

OfferId CategoryL2 DateRange
123 Clothing/Pants 03/14 - 03/18
123 Clothing/Shorts03/18 - 03/29

In that case, I could at least detect which entry is the most recent one
(Clothing/Shorts) and use that one, but getting the results as is the case
now is like this:

OfferId CategoryL2
123 Clothing/Pants
123 Clothing/Shorts

and I do not know whether the product with OfferId 123 is in CategoryL2
Clothing/Pants or Clothing/Shorts RIGHT NOW.

Thanks
Marc

My point is this: I want to get the current information of the product,
however I get two rows for the same OfferId and it is different only on
CategoryL5 - thus I do not know which value of CategoryL5 is current and
which one is old / legacy.

This only happens when the product was changed on CategoryL5 - it is
the same product (same OfferId). It appears twice only because it was
changed at some point in time.

I find this confusing and would expect to get just one row with the
product and with CategoryL5 set to the most recent value for that
 product...

 Thank you again

Busted Zipcode Criterion

2017-04-25 Thread dg788
Hello,

On the Geo Targets reference page
(https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting),
when I query by the adwords criterion id 9025258, the zipcode 70534 is
returned.

However, when pulling from the api (v201702), the zipcode 70546 is returned.

For the moment, I will simply exclude both of these zipcodes from my
processes, but I wanted to alert the Adwords team to a possible data
problem,

David

Setting 'Interest and remarketing' field for adgroups using adwords API

2017-04-25 Thread Chintan Gosalia
Hey guys - I am fairly new to the adwords. I am creating new adgroups using
the adwords api for java. While at it, I wish to set the "Interest and
remarketing" field (which I am able to access using google adwords editor)
for the newly created adgroups. I would appreciate if someone can help me
with a code snippet that does this?

I need to set "Interest and remarketing" to either 'Bid only' or 'Target
and bid'. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Click Report vs Criteria Report - Difference in Number of Clicks

2017-04-25 Thread Normunds Vilcins
Basically the number of individual clicks in Click Performance Report is
higher than the number of reported clicks in Criteria Performance Report.

We compare the number of entries in Click Performance Report, that refer
to a specific (CampaignId, AdGroupId, KeywordId) and falls inside specified
date range, to the sum of Clicks values from Criteria Performance Report,
for the same filter parameters.

(also tried adgroup and campaign levels, getting the exact same results as
the criteria level described above)

We see a difference for a all of our clients, checking different time
ranges, and the proportion of "lost clicks" is generally about 3-5% (~9%
for one smaller client).

Is this normal, and how should we interpret this?

Thanks!

Adword campaigns are real time?

2017-04-25 Thread cepintegration
Adword campaigns are real time?

For example ;
1. Lets say Adword Campaign A is referring to List B.
2. I used Adword API to update List B. ( removing few ids and add few
ids)
Question :

   - How long does List B will take to refresh?. Based on the google's
documentation, it might take up to 24 hours to complete the matching and
   get refreshed. Please confirm?
   - Does Adword Campaign A is realtime , meaning once List B is refreshed
does campaign A recognizes it and use the updated list for targeting the
   ads.
