Re: Click Type discrepancies API vs UI

2019-06-29 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Erik,

If you use the CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT and include the ClickType field, you
should get results that match the Campaigns view shown in your screenshot.

One tip: if you haven't done so already, I recommend installing our Chrome
extension that helps map each UI view to its associated reports and services .
It can be a big help with questions related to duplicating UI views using the
API.

Cheers,
Josh, Google Ads API Team

Re: cleanUp categoryFilters for account level location extension

2019-06-29 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Sergey,

I'll definitely let you know once I have more information from the feeds team.
One workaround would be to delete the existing feed, and then add it a new feed
with only the filters you want to keep. However, this will require creating new
CustomerFeed, CampaignFeed, and AdGroupFeed objects (if you have any for the
current feed) that point to the new feed's ID. In addition, this will lead to
new feed item IDs, so stats such as Impressions and Clicks will appear in
reports under those new IDs. This could be a problem if you're trying to track
stats by ID over time, as you'll have a different feed ID and different feed
item IDs depending on the date range of your reports.

Best regards,
Josh, Google Ads API Team

About migrating from position to impression share bidding strategies

2019-06-29 Thread take
Dear AdWords API team,

Can you tell me the Sunset Day of below changes. It just says in June 2019
but until it still affected.

AdWords API Users
If you attempt to use the AdWords API to add a TARGET_OUTRANK_SHARE or
PAGE_ONE_PROMOTED bidding strategy after they are removed, you will get an
error.

All existing campaigns using the old bidding strategies will be
automatically migrated to use Target Impression Share for both APIs. The
AdWords API does not support the Target Impression Share bidding strategy,
so we recommend migrating to the Google Ads API
 if you need this
functionality.

Detail:
https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2019/05/migrating-from-position-to-impression.html

Thanks & Best Regards,
Phu

Difference operations/requests

2019-06-29 Thread peter lang
Hi,

I'm evaluating which kind of access I need for my tool and if I understood
it correctly the only difference between the basic and the standard access
is the amount of "operations" which are allowed per day.
I don't understand what is the difference between operations and requests.
Can I make multiple operations with one request? And how does it work?

And whats the difference? Request = API Call, Operation = ?

It would be great if someone could help me.

Thanks
Peter
