RE: Hello, I look for Keywords Planner API.

2019-08-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thanks for posting your concern.

If you want to achieve the same functionality of the Keyword Planner using the
AdWords API, then, you would need to use the TargetingIdeaService to do so. You
may refer to this documentation to read more about generating targeting ideas
and how to implement it.

Also, the link that you provided is the form that you need to complete to
request basic access for your developer token. This is required if you wish to
use the above service for your production Google Ads account.

Let me know if you have further questions.

RE: Get Household Income/Demographic Data to Google Sheet

2019-08-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Dafna,

Thank you for bumping this thread.

In the AdWords API, the INCOME_RANGE criteria type, currently, can only be
retrieved via the Criteria Performance Report. The said report type is also a
single attribution type, meaning, only the criteria type deemed by AdWords as
most relevant would be returned and all statistics would be associated to the
said criteria. In your scenario, the keyword type was the one that was selected
by the system.

Also, since this is already an old thread and for better tracking, I would
recommend that you create a new one with the details of your concern and we can
continue our discussion from there.

Downloading Ads report with includeZeroImpressions = false still downloads the creative with impression = 0

2019-08-21 Thread Kain
Hi,

I have a question with regard to the behavior of using ReportDefinition
and ReportDownloader from package
com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.utils.v201809.

So I want to download the ad report WITHOUT the object of impression = 0.
Here is the observation when I did my test.

Case 1:
* set includeZeroImpressions = false
* Specify couple ad fields like Headline, Id, AdGroupId, CampaignId, etc,
but NO "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 appears.

Case 2:
* set includeZeroImpressions = false
* Specify couple ad fields together with "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 doesn't appear.

Case 3:
* set includeZeroImpressions = true
* Specify couple ad fields together with "Impressions" field.
In the report, my creative of impression = 0 appears.

>From the above test result. I have a feeling that in order to exclude the
object with impression = 0 in the report, besides setting
includeZeroImpressions = false, we also need to include the "Impressions"
field into the report download request. So is this expected?
In Case 1, actually I'm expecting the creative with impression = 0 should
NOT appear in the report.
If this is expected, besides "Impressions" field, is there any other fields
having the similar behavior that affect the report?

Thank you,
Kain

Re: cannot create shopping ProductGroup tree in one batch. Getting LISTING_GROUP_SUBDIVISION_REQUIRES_OTHERS_CASE error

2019-08-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Inillien -

Thanks for this question and for sending over all of this detailed information.
I'm the maintainer of our Python client library so should be able to help with
this issue. Unfortunately we don't have an example for adding a product listing
group tree in Python, but that will hopefully change soon.

I believe the issue here is that one of the AdGroupCriterion in your request
needs to have a case_value field that is not set. The problem is it's not very
clear on how to do that in the Python interface for Protobuf message classes
because it seems like the only way to add a field to a message is to give it a
value.

If you look closely at the request Bharani shared you'll noticed that one of
the criterion has a listing group with a case_value that looks like this:

case_value {
product_condition {
}
}

That represents an empty case_value field.

This set of documentation shows how to set an empty message field in Python. On
one of your AdGroupCriterion objects you'll need to do something like this:

ad_group_criterion.listing_group.case_value.CopyFrom(client.get_type('ListingDimensionInfo'))
 Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions. Best,
Ben Karl, Google Ads API Team

How can I get the performance of a criteria in ad-group level?

Receive every day a set of newly created campaign-keywords combinations.

2019-08-21 Thread Nikos Sarris
Hello,

I need to know as soon as possible what are the new keywords created
through the interface for every campaign / adgroupId.
So far I was aiming to query the new adgroupIds / keywords in an hourly
basis, though I don't think a timestamp is provided for
either of the two.

What would be the optimum way to get the minimum amount of data containing
the most recently created adgroupids / keywords.
Or alternatively, is there a trigger that I could set up every time a new
keyword is created in the interface?

Best,
N

Hello Tima,

I am Peter's teammate working on this concern as he is not available. I see
that those offerIds are available via API and also available via UI-> Reports->
custom reports-> Shopping – ID Prod Perfs in your account. In general API data
always matches with the UI data, even here it is matching with the data that
is downloaded via UI reports. I did not find those those offer ids in the

RE: Token page has expired error

2019-08-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Rosdyana,

That error indicates that the token used to retrieve a page of results from a
search request has expired.

Specifically - when you make a search request in Python an iterator is returned
that, under the hood, makes multiple requests to the API as you iterate over
it. Each request retrieves a "page" of results, the size of which is defined by
the page_size parameter seen here.

If you submit a request that generates 10,000 rows and the page_size is set to
1,000 then the iterator will end up making 10 requests, each for 1,000 rows at
a time.

The first response for rows 1 - 1,000 will include a page token that gets
passed back to the API so it knows to retrieve rows 1,001 - 2,000, (this is all
handled implicitly by the iterator).

Those page tokens have a life span of two hours. So this error likely occurred
because two hours went by between page requests. For example if you submitted a
request for a report with a page_size of 10,000 with a process that spent
roughly 84 seconds processing each row the page token could expire by the time
the next page was requested.

Do you see this error often, or did it just appear one time?

Best,
Ben Karl, Google Ads API Team

Is Campaign Consistency Guaranteed?

2019-08-21 Thread Harsh Patel
If I have 2 threads which use the API to create campaigns with the same
campaign name at the exact same time, what will the AdWords API do? Is
there a possibility that 2 campaigns with the same name will be created?

I see that there are error messages for DUPLICATE_CAMPAIGN_NAME

 and
also CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION

 but
this does not tell me if the AdWords API will guarantee that 2 campaigns
with the same name will never be created.

Re: When is v201809 deprecated?

2019-08-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Philo,

I'm Peter's colleague addressing your concern as he is out of office. Please
find my response below:

What is the deprecation date for v201809?
Neither the deprecation nor the sunset date has been set yet. Please keep an
eye on our blog for more updates on this.

Also, is it correct that the AdWords API is replaced by the Ad Manager API?
The Google Ads API is the replacement of our AdWords API and brings significant
advances in innovation and developer productivity. Please refer to this blog
post for more information.

Do you have any ETA on the deprecation date? Switching to the AdManager
requires a lot of changes and we would like to be prepared.
The Google Ads API has been moved to beta recently. Once the product exits
“beta”, we will announce the deprecation date and the sunset date will be at
least 1 year after Google Ads API reaches feature parity with AdWords API.

Do you recommend already updating to the Ad Manager?
The Ad Manager API is a completely different tool. The AdWords API and Google
Ads API is used to make changes to the Google Ads account. We recommend to
continue running production systems using the AdWords API. While Google Ads API
is in “beta”, you may use the new API for testing and development work in
preparation for future migration. Please keep in mind that during this "beta"
phase, there may be breaking changes in the Google Ads API.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

But, if I set sitelinkFinalUrls like this,

then it works.

Is it not possible to set value for sitelinkUrl parameter? I do not see any
documentation mentioning this parameter is deprecated. Please clarify.

shopping performance report, CategoryL1, CategoryL2, CategoryL3, CategoryL4 and CategoryL5 fields

2019-08-21 Thread Golnoush Lotfi

In shopping performance report the following attributes return string:

CategoryL1, CategoryL2, CategoryL3, CategoryL4 and CategoryL5

While the equivalent fields in Google ads return RESOURCE_NAME:

(segments.product_custom_attribute0,segments.product_custom_attribute1,segments.product_custom_attribute2,segments.product_custom_attribute3,segments.product_custom_attribute4).

We are using these five fields in our report. So, in order to get the same
results as Adwords, we have to call
ProductBiddingCategoryConstantServiceClient, using these RESOURCE_NAMEs and
get localized_name. Which means 5 more calls for each row of report to have
the same result as Adwords.

I was wondering, if there is any other efficient way, to get the same
result?

Thanks,

Golnoush

public function uploadHtml5Asset($url)
{
/** @var AssetService $assetService */
   $assetService =
$this->googleApiClient->get($this->session,AssetService::class);
   $asset = new MediaBundleAsset();
   $asset->setMediaBundleData(file_get_contents($url));
$operation = new AssetOperation();
$operation->setOperand($asset);
$operation->setOperator(Operator::ADD);

return $assetService->mutate([$operation]);

}

I’m using *'https://goo.gl/9Y7qI2 **’* as url (and
this url works well when I’m uploading the same media bundle using
MediaService).
But when for my example I’m getting error:

Re: Get ad groups for each accessible costumer account

2019-08-21 Thread André Pimpão
Hi, Bharani.

What seems to be happening is that it is listing accounts that are
cancelled.
Ideally, there should be a field with the status of the account, if not to
filter directly in the query, at least to know how to handle the different
account statuses.

Right now, forcing to loop through every customer_client/account, no matter
the status, and "blindly" requesting ad groups for each one is really time
consuming and unnecessary.

Is there any plan for this to be available?
Is there any other way?

Thanks once again,
AP.

What is the destination URL you're attempting to set?

Setting sitelinkUrl throws DESTINATION_URL_DEPRECATED error

2019-08-21 Thread Suresh Kumar Shenbagam
Hi,

Language: Java.

I am trying to create Sitelink extension for a campaign and I am not able
to set value to sitelinkUrl parameter and am getting the following
exception,

 [main] ERROR c.c.a.ErrorContainer [] - ApiException{
applicationExceptionType=ApiException, errors=[UrlError{apiErrorType=
UrlError, errorString=UrlError.DESTINATION_URL_DEPRECATED, fieldPath=
operations[0].operand.extensionSetting.extensions[0].sitelinkUrl,
fieldPathElements=[FieldPathElement{field=operations, index=0},
FieldPathElement{field=operand}, FieldPathElement{field=extensionSetting},
FieldPathElement{field=extensions, index=0}, FieldPathElement{field=
sitelinkUrl}], reason=DESTINATION_URL_DEPRECATED, trigger=}]}

Is this normal? How can I set the sitelink url for this extension through
Adwords Java API?

Suresh

Re: BidModifier Guide

2019-08-21 Thread cv
Hello Nikisha,

It looks like you do not have AdGroupCriterion set for demographics in your
account, this is the reason the shared query is not returning the
criterion_id for demographics.
--> Please see the attached Image where you can see that I have set the
AdGroupCriterion for demographics.

[image: demoGraphics.png]

I am still not getting the criterion_id for the same.

Can I need to modify my shared query?

Thanks,
