Hi Puneet,

Thank you for raising your concern.

The conversion_action_category segment of the Google Ads API is the migrated 
field of the ConversionTypeName of AdWords API. With this, there should be 
similarities in terms of functionalities and behavior between those fields and 
one of them is the incompatibility of this field to specific fields such as 
Clicks, AbsoluteTopImpressionPercentage, ActiveViewCpm, ActiveViewCtr and so 
on. This is the possible reason why the error is encountered as metrics.clicks 
and segments.conversion_action_category could not be selected in SELECT clause 
at the same time.

Because of this reason, I would suggest using one of the said fields only.

Hi Jakub,

My apologies for the delayed response. Allow me to provide support to your 
concern.

The USER_PERMISSION_DENIED error occurs when authenticating as a user with 
access to a manager account but not specifying login-customer-id in the 
request. With this, you need to specify the login-customer-id as the manager 
account ID without hyphens (-).

If the issue persists after trying the provided suggestion, then please provide 
the following details below via Reply privately to author option to further 
investigate:

Customer ID
email address / user account that has access to the MCC account and used to 
generate Oauth2 credential
complete request and response logs with request ID generated on your end where 
we can see this error

when I mentioned Dynamic remarketing list, I mean Remarketing User List. In 
google Ads UI, some Audience were created automatically, showing them in my 
screenshots. And when I called the AdwordsUserListService for Google Api

I want to ask 
1. what difference between these five names.  what mean for Adwords and 
what mean for system-defined. 
2.  General visitors  and   General visitors  (system-defined) means retail 
type?
3. What are the attributes of dynamic remarketing list?  if I want to get 
dynamic remarketing list in google api, what attributes should I need to 
specify. for example, what is  the value of listtype? what is the value of 
readOnly?

Customer ID
Complete report definition used when this error occurred
The logs generated on your console where we can see the error and the timestamp 
on when this happened
Successfully generated report after repeating the same report


@Johann, the incompatibility of specific fields discussed on that blog is also 
documented in Campaign Performance Report. You can see it when you inspect the 
field discussed on that blog in the said document and as an example, 
ConversionAdjustment is not compatible with AbsoluteTopImpressionPercentage, 
ActiveViewCpm, ActiveViewCtr and so on.

I've run into the same issues as you have on the very same dates. 

I dug around in Google Ads Developer Blog and I found this blog post from 
January 14, 2021 which announced some new selection restrictions regarding 
some conversion fields combinations (which was supposed to come into effect 
on February 15, 2021):

Unfortunately, these changes have not been reflected in the official 
documentation for the Campaign Performance Report 

 as 
the fields sub-sections display an outdated list of field incompatibility 
selection

Maybe I'm missing something, but  it looks like the query returns 
aggregated results, sum of all conversions for the last 7 days.
I would like to get 7 results - conversions for each day. 
Is it possible to do it in one query? Do I miss any parameter in my query?

Unfortunately we're not able to share the IDs for these non-targetable 
locations, so for your mapping I recommend just noting that they are all 
non-targetable.

I've submitted a feature request asking that we publish the IDs in our 
documentation for reference, however it will need to be reviewed before being 
published. Please keep an eye on our API Documentation for future changes.

Thanks for reaching out. There are two possible issues here. A 429 Resource 
Exhausted error likely means that the size of the response surpassed the 4 MB 
gRPC limit. Additionally, all access levels have a 1000 get request limit. If 
this limit is surpassed you will also see a resource exhausted error message.

We use Adwords API v201809 and we started to get unexpected error at March 
19:

1. It is temporary - when I repeat the same request I get data successfully;
2. We don't request any fields from this incompatible fields list.

How to get more than 700 results from TargetingIdeas Service on python

Good morning,

I'm trying to get more than 700 (the upper limit) keywords from the 
TargetingIdeas Service. According to the available documentation, I should 
be able to do so by increasing the "startIndex" parameter at each request, 
but I can't get the code to work.

I'm doing the following: I'm targeting a specific CategoryId, requesting 
500 at a time on the "numberResults" parameter, and then increse the 
"startIndex" parameter by 500 each time. 

This is not working, so I have just tried to set to 500 both parameters, 
which should give me elements from 500 to 1000. But this is not the case, 
as I only manage to get elements from 500 to 700, thus being unable to 
overcome that limit... 

The startIndex has clearly been modified, as I'm getting elements starting 
from the 500, but for some reason the 700 limit is still there, as if this 
700 limit wasn't a request limit, but a global limit.

Could you please help me? Here it is the code I have been using for this

Is there a way to query data for duration with daily breakdowns? 
For example, using this query: "SELECT campaign.id,metrics.conversions FROM 
campaign WHERE segments.date DURING LAST_7_DAYS" - I want to get the 
campaign conversions for each day in the last 7 days.

I want to ask 
1. what difference between these five names. 
2. Shopping cart abandoners and 
Shopping cart abandoners (system-defined) means retail type?
3. What are the attributes of dynamic remarketing list?  if I want to get 
dynamic remarketing list, what attributes should I need to specify. for 
example, what is  the value of listtype? what is the value of readOnly?

How to modify Target CPM ?

   I tried to modify value for "Video Campaign"  for example in Google 
Adword UI I set 30 for Target CPm and I'd like to update it from api:

Please see my response below for each of your question:

- Could you provide the complete request and response logs with request ID 
generated on your end where we can see the error to investigate?

"The flow that i created for Adding Location extension to google ads account 
and then associating specific locations to ad level. Is this correct or am i 
missing something ?"
-I am afraid that this is not possible as according to this document, you can 
override the default behavior by applying location extensions to a specific ad 
group or campaign through filters, ad is not included here.

"I provide matching function associating with customer . Is that right ?"
This is correct as based on this guide, the CustomerFeed with location 
extensions only supports a true IDENTITY function or a platform function; no 
other matching functions will be accepted.

"Is there any other way we can check with location name OR location id. How do 
we match in case of Virtual brand when we have same location names?  Do we have 
to keep this mapping of location id with feed item id for filtering specific 
locations"
- I am afraid that there is no other way to filter the feed with location name 
OR location id as the only available Function types are listed on this document.

"5. When we create Feed, we can pass business account id of GMB - Can we pass 
multiple account ids in case we have two brands on GMB and we want all 
locations to be added for Google ads account. AS of now, i can see it is taking 
only a string. Is there any way to pass multiple. If yes, can you please give 
example ?"
-I am afraid that this is not possible also as your Google Ads account can have 
only one ENABLED feed linked to a Google My Business account on the first 
place. Please see the Key point section of this document to read more 
information about this.

"If i try to create separate matching functions to associate with Ad group 
feed, it is working but if i am combining functions- it is giving me Internal 
server error."
- Could you also provide the complete request and response logs with request ID 
generated when associating matching function with Ad group feed that
