However, this appears to be a setup issue with the Python client library. You 
may reach out to the client library owners instead via this link, for further 
insight on what's causing the example to not see the client ID and client

DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID Not Defined Error

I'm trying to get the refresh token so I can start working with Google Ads 
API. However, I am getting this error when I tried to run the 
generate_refresh_token.py file which I found in this 
link:

I basically copy the whole code and created a python file on my env. But 
then when I tried to run it, I am getting this error: 'name 
DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID not defined.'

I already have a client ID and client secret, which I copy and pasted to 
the DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID and DEFAULT_CLIENT_SECRET variables of the 
generate_refresh_token.py file. 

Please help me fix the error. Appreciate your response. Thanks.

Moving forward, the account specified in your API request header is not the 
411-3XX-58XX account and instead another account which I have highlighted below

That being said, so our team can investigate the main cause of the issue you 
are encountering, could you share the complete SOAP request and response logs 
that returned API errors? Please also provide the step by step actions you took 
and when the (Unable to connect to MCC) issue was encountered. This would 
greatly help our team troubleshoot the issue. You may send these requested 
details via the Reply privately to author option only.

In addition, the canManageClients unfortunately cannot be set to true, since 
this is only a read only field.

Lastly, since your developer token was exposed publicly, I would highly 
recommend that you reset this token by following this guide.

The Customer ID of the account we want to create audiences in is 411-332-5835. 
If you run the same request below you should get the same result. This is what

Hi Todd,

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, each email could only be linked to 
20 Google Ads accounts at most. However, if you have ReadOnly access to the 
MCC, it would not grant you the Admin access to the MCC account and its 
children, which means by granting the user email ReadOnly access at an upper 
level in the account hierarchy may potentially reduce the number of accounts 
the user email needs to be granted access.

20 Account Limit

I originally posted the below question to Google Ad Community.  After a 
couple rounds they referred me to this Forum.

Question: 
We have hit the limit of 20 accounts per email.  Our customer, Samsung, has 
42 accounts that I need *ReadOnly *access to.  We are unable to link to 
sub-accounts as this gives us some level of Admin rights.

How can 1 email account get access to 42 accounts with ReadOnly access.

Linking the accounts under MCC gives us some level of Admin rights to those 
accounts.  We need *ReadOnly *rights to 42 accounts to allow us to make 
ReadOnly API Calls.  How can we make this happen?

Thank you for posting your concern.

To take a closer look at your issue, could you provide the customer ID and the 
complete request and response logs with request ID generated on your end where 
we can see the error? Please provide it via Reply privately to author option.

Also, it appears that your issue is related to RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error which 
is occurring when sending too many requests in a short period of time. I would 
suggest setting up short delays between requests or combine more operations in 
fewer requests.

You may refer to this document to know how API requests are meter and limit in 
Google Ads API.
