Regd: Sandbox or test account with test data

Hi Team, 
Is there a sandbox that I can download to test the Ads API, I am completely 
new to this and I am looking if there is a sandbox or test account where 
there are  some test campaigns and other data is created . I want to play 
around with different entities involved in making the API calls. 

I am able to create test manager account but when I am trying to create a 
campaign under 'Google Ads Account'  (as per the steps mentioned in quick 
start guide , its asking for credit card. I am looking for options to 
explore 'Ads API' without providing credit card details. 

Please let me know if this is feasible.

Excessive Retry After 30 Seconds Rate Limit

Hi,

I've been running various TargetingIdeaService requests for the past 10 
days without any issues, but since yesterday, I have not been able to get 
more than a couple requests per hour. I keep hitting rate limit, retry 
after 30 seconds. I even paused my script for the past 4 hours, and as soon 
as I restart it, every request is hit with a rate limit. Is there an issue 
with Google Ads API or is there something on my end? Is there a better way 
to figure out a real retry after value because 30 is not working (neither 
is 4 hours). 

I'm hitting rate_exceeded, account level with a retryafterseconds=30 when 
using TargetingIdeaService, operations=1, using Perl version of the API.

In order to reply privately, you can click on the 3 dot icon next to Reply all 
to find the option. If this option is grayed out for you, you can email us at 
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

The report definition is the report query you called. This will include all of 
the fields you selected, the report type, any conditions and the date range. 
You can send the report definition in either the XML or AWQL format.

Hi Prasad,

I see that some of the ad groups in your account come from app campaigns. 
Unfortunately, the Ad Group Performance Report doesn't support app campaigns. 
The only app campaign reports for AdWords API are the ones listed here. You 
will need to use Google Ads API to get app campaign data for all report types.

create accounts

I'm trying to create new accounts programmatically using the Adwords API on 
our app. We're planning on using ManagedCustomerService 

 to 
do so. From my research it seems like we only need 3 inputs from the user 
initially:


   - Country
   - Time Zone
   - Currency

My questions are:

   1. When a new account is created, how do we add the user as an admin to 
   the account automatically? 
   2. is there a way to configure billing info on the new account 
   programatically?
   3. any other best practices for setting up new accounts for clients?

what you said, means, that we need to access, from our clients to every 
user google account and make for every account unique credentials.(Client 
ID,Client secret)

If so, how we can generate right refresh token with ours credentials?
Maybe we need to request next level for developer token access, or 
something else?

I work with Peter and let me provide support to your concern.

Since conversion action sets are currently not supported in the API, a code or 
SOAP or REST interface example is also not available at the moment.

We also do not have any information on the timeline when features will be made 
available. For now, you may keep an eye on our blog for updates or 
announcements.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

I am afraid that there is no possible way to directly clone/duplicate your 
production account data into the test account. You will need to download the 
information from your production account and upload it to your test account.

With this, you may provide the details of the data that you want to replicate 
from the production account to test account and the API (Google Ads API or 
AdWords API) that you want to use. With the help of this details, we can 
determine if this is possible using API.

response logs with the request-id?

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client 
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you 
can access from this link.

You may then send the generated logs via the Reply privately to author option.

I work with Anthony and let me provide support to your concern.

Unfortunately, support for the partial_failure feature is limited to only a 
number of mutate requests. Not all service mutate methods support this.


However, the method for the partial_failure should be present in the 
MutateCampaignsRequest. With this, since there is currently sample code for the 
implementing partial failure in CampaignService, then I would suggest to reach 
out to the author of the Java client library via this link. They are more 
capable of providing assistance on the implementation of Google Ads API 
services in Java client library.
