Cannot create AdGroup for VIDEO_TRUE_VIEW_IN_STREAM

I cannot create  AdGroup for VIDEO_TRUE_VIEW_IN_STREAM.
I can create  AdGroup for DISPLAY_STANDARD.

How to create  AdGroup for VIDEO_TRUE_VIEW_IN_STREAM?

Hi Matt, the last 4 hours have actually been working really well without 
hitting a single rate limit. It actually seems to be during business hours 
that I hit the rate limit and off hours it does really well. I'll send a 
message next time I hit the rate limit, thank you.

Other types of ads that I use are updated without problems, only with 
ImageAd error

It appears that this question is related to your comment on this forum post

Unfortunately, as I mentioned on that forum thread, I am afraid that you cannot 
remove test accounts from your MCC as it doesn’t support the remove function. 
This is only applicable for unlinking production MCC account and production 
client account.

As mentioned by my colleague on this forum thread, I am afraid that you cannot 
remove test accounts from your MCC as it doesn’t support the remove function. 
The suggestion provided on the forum thread that you mentioned is only 
applicable for unlinking production MCC account and production client account.

Generally, one API request can have up to 5,000 operations in a single call, as 
stated here. However, we recommend that customers use a lower value to ensure 
avoiding limit related errors.

For the "Incorrect xsi:type specified: 'Postal Code'" issue, could you share 
the complete SOAP request and response logs, and the requestId so I can have a 
closer look. You may send the requested details using the Reply privately to 
author option.

As for 'cleaning' all previous location targeting objects, you will need first 
to retrieve them, then update (REMOVE) them accordingly.

Hi Alex,

When including any segments to a report query, any rows with zero impressions 
will be excluded. Since test accounts don't serve any impressions, you will not 
see any report data when including segments for these accounts.

So, we can unlink test accounts and google will handle the garbage 
collection or set of orphans wo any problems? That is, my integration CI 
tests can create and unlink hundreds of test accounts per week wo causing

You can use the ad_group_criterion report that I mentioned to get details on 
these ad targets. You can also use the AdGroupCriterionService to mutate these 
criteria. This includes pausing and enabling these criteria. Ad targets will be 
a criteria with type WebPage.

ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED when trying to create a AdGroupAd on Test Account

I can't create "Upload display ads" with a test account 
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/overview#test_account)
 
using the API or the web interface.

Creating Campaigns, AdGroups,  AdGroupAd Ad with ResponsiveDisplayAdInfo, 
etc. works fine using API, but creating a AdGroupAd Ad with

Hi, I seem to be hitting rate limit issues today pretty heavily (it was 
going well for the last 8 days). My script adheres to the planning rate 
limit (1 request per second maximum) and anytime I hit a hit a rate limit, 
I pause for 35 seconds. I have a single client (no parallel sessions) and 
I'm batching requests to minimize the volume. Despite this, my single 
client seems to hit the rate limit very often (after 1-3 requests). As a 
result my script is sleeping almost all day long and I'm getting just a 
handful of requests per hour. Any suggestions on what I could do? I'd 
rather run my script continuously but slowly rather than pausing for 35 
seconds at a time every time I hit a rate limit.

maximum criterions number in one mutation?

Hello

As we are trying to use the geo targeting for campaigns using API, we need 
to know what is the maximum number of criterions that can be added per one 
mutation?

For example, if we have 2000 zipcodes, I assume we will need to have an 
array 2000 operations, each operation object would look like this:





*{:operator => 'ADD', :operand => { :campaign_id => campaign[:id], 
:criterion => {:xsi_type => 'Postal Code', :id => xxx}}}*

Also, I am getting this exception:

*Incorrect xsi:type specified: 'Postal Code'*

so, how can I target zip codes? what is the right type for it?

and lastly, how do I clean all pervious location targeting before mutate a 
new ones?

Hi Bruce,

You can use reports to obtain the data found in these views. For extensions, 
you can use the extension_feed_item resource, and for the extension type, you 
can use extension_feed_item.extension_type. For audiences, you can use the 
campaign_audience_view. This view has campaign_criterion as an attributed 
resource, so you can specify user interest from that resource.

Let me explain with the following scenario.

Lets say there are two campaigns with the following ad groups:

- Campaign 1
 - Ad group 1: nice ads
 - Ad group 2: really nice ads
 - Ad group 3: ugly ads
- Campaign 2
 - Ad group 4: some nice ads
 - Ad group 5: others ads

I want to get the average cost aggregated at the campaign level but only 
for the ad groups with the text "nice" in its name.
Notice I can do it in Data Studio.

The expected result is:
campaign.name, metrics.average_cost
Campaign 1, 456
Campaign 2, 789


Approach 1:

SELECT campaign.name, metrics.average_cost
FROM campaign
WHERE ad_group.name CONTAINS 'nice' AND segments.date DURING LAST_30_DAYS

This query result in an error, because I cannot filter by ad_group when 
querying campaign in the FROM.


Approach 2:

SELECT campagn.name, metrics.average_cost
FROM ad_group
WHERE ad_group.name CONTAINS 'nice' AND segments.date DURING LAST_30_DAYS

This query works, but is aggregated at the ad_group level, resulting in 
duplicates campaigns.
An example of this query result:
campaign.name, metrics.average_cost
Campaign 1, 367 <-- from Ad group 1
Campaign 1, 523 <-- from Ad group 2
Campaign 2, 789


How can I resolve that query?

Use Developer token for production account

We have a client account with id xxx-xxx-

Need developer token with approval for this account. We have used its 
manager account which has id yyy-yyy-
This account has developer token but it is not working for client account 
and client account do not have option to generate its developer token. Let 
us know how we can use it.

Above both are paid account not the test account. Want to know if we have 
miss anything for verification of account?
Need to know how can we have approval for account

Uploading keywords to the google ads api

Hi,

Do you need to do a new request every time you want to add a new negative 
keyword to a google ads shopping ad? 

I am trying to figure out the most efficient way to upload different 
keywords (broad, phrase, exact) to one ad group.

Upon checking your account, I can see that you have one campaign created here. 
The type of this campaign is "App" while the sub-type is "App 
pre-registration". Unfortunately, the campaign with sub-type "App 
pre-registration" is currently not supported in AdWords API and this the 
possible reason why you've generated an empty report.
