Hello, I try to create an image ad by using Google Ads API(Python client 
library) and I got this error:
errors { error_code { image_error: UNEXPECTED_SIZE } message: "The image is 
not of legal dimensions."
}
However, my image file is in acceptable dimensions(250x250)

Can you confirm that you followed the steps in this guide? You should be able 
to see your project IDs by clicking on the project in the top left-hand corner 
of the screen. You can also try creating a new project and enabling it then 
using those credentials for your API call. If that doesn't work, could you 
please share the MCC Id and the email address used to create the new project 
for me to investigate further? Also, please provide the complete request and 
response logs with request ID as well.

With regard to your concern, the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED usually occurs 
when you are using an unapproved developer token to make calls against a 
production account. Since you mentioned that you already submitted a request 
form to grant a Basic access level for Developer Token, then we would recommend 
reaching out to the Compliance team via this form for follow up. The Compliance 
Team should be able to assist you further as they are the ones that process and 
approve developer token access requests.

place to create it through UI.
Currently I created one using C# API - which you don't have example code 
for it yet.

a place on UI to show it.

   1. How to create and manage asset based page feed from UI?
   2. When can we have C# example code for asset based page feed?
   3. Where can I see my asset based page feed?

Hi Martin,

I tried your report and received Id's. Could you privately send us a request 
and response log of API communication that returns this funny response?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST 
documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to 
see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the 
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger 
to 'DEBUG' will get the desired log.

Regarding params "conversion_actions[]", usually we require full resourceNames 
for similar fields but the documentation isn't clear here. I tried and it needs 
the full resource name of the conversion action. The error when not using a 
full resource name was 'expected 
'customers/{customer_id}/conversionActions/{conversion_action_id}'.

'conversion_goal_campaign_config' has the resource names of the conversion 
actions linked to the campaign.

You only need one custom_conversion_goal for a campaign, the goal has in it 
multiple conversion actions.

Hotel Reconciliation report

Hi there,

We're tying to programmatically generate the hotel reconciliation csv file. 
Using the API, we can retrieve the rows that need to be reconciled by 
querying hotel_reconciliation easily enough. However, we need to be able to 
determine what the commission % and campaign were at the time of booking so 
that we can calculate the current value based on the actual stay. These 
values are visible in the UI here: 
https://support.google.com/hotelprices/answer/10639619 but I cannot figure 
out how to access the information via the API. Please advise.

Thanks a lot for your answer. How about the field display name? If there a 
way to programmatically get for a given field the display name as shown in 
the Google Ads interface? It seems that GoogleAdsFieldService doesn't offer 
that info neither. I believe it would really make sense that the metadata 
service GoogleAdsFieldService provided both the display name (as in the UI) 
and the description, wouldn't it?

Hello Algirdas,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API support. I have tried the same 
GAQL query on my end you provided and I was able to generate the (ENABLED and 
PAUSED) records when I removed the segments field, since these ENABLED and 
PAUSED campaigns have zero impressions, and when adding segment fields, and as 
per this documentation, "Zero impressions are always excluded when segmenting a 
report.."
This is the reason why these campaigns were initially not being returned to all 
the fields from that query. Let me know if this helps you understand the 
behavior of the query. Feel free to write if you have any follow up questions.

Urgent: Grant GoogleAds Developer Token Basic Access

On Dec 14th around 12 pm PST we submitted a request form to grant a *Basic
access level *for Developer Token. So far nothing has been changed on the
access level. This is a blocker for us to move forward with the project.
Can you take a look at it asap and advise as to the next steps?

*Company Name: New Relic Inc*

*Business Model: *My company operates an e-commerce store to sell
cloud-based software to help website and application owners track the
performances of their services. We have several different websites for
selling APM (www.newrelic.com), all of which are owned by my company. We
only advertise for websites we own and don’t manage ads for anyone else.

*Tool Access/Use*: Workato is going to be used by employees and ad managers
within my company to retrieve data from snowflake and send data to offline
conversion to GoogleAds. Import offline conversion metric/data (like
eCommerce purchases) to Google ads, so that Google ads can use it as a
down-the-funnel metric to optimize for ads campaigns. We will also have a
script that will run hourly to sync offline conversion to google Ads with
our inventory.

*Tool Design:* We are going to pull data from our internal database using
the Workato integration tool and send it to add Online Conversion.

*API Services Called:*
● Manage ads in ad group via the AdGroupAdService
● Push data to add offline conversion using API OfflineConversion resource

*Tool Mockups:*

Snowflake -> Workato -> GoogleAds

Hi Oleksandr,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API support.  Could you privately send 
us a request and response log of API communication of an upload of conversions 
that should have registered and didn't?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST 
documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to 
see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the 
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger 
to 'DEBUG' will get the desired log.

will see the reported error, if the information you provided cannot be geocoded

Decimals in Campaign Conversions

Hello,

Since Dec 10, 2021 we started seeing decimals in conversions field on our 
Dashboard. 
We want to know what this is related to in the Ads or is it the way we are 
uploading the conversions? Note that we do the offline conversion upload 
using the Google Ads api.

AUTHORIZATION_ERROR

Hi,

I'm accessing customer account via GoogleAdsServiceClient->search().
Request header contains:
"customer_id=CUSTOMER_ID"
"login-customer-id": "MCC_ID"

But the request is returned with error:
Details: The caller does not have permission
Failure: 
{"errors":[{"errorCode":{"authorizationError":"AUTHORIZATION_ERROR"},"message":"Authorization
 
of the client failed."}],"requestId":"YTur_7UQBW3h4sdVPSQcvw"}

The credentials used have access to the MCC, and the customer is under the 
MCC.

The same credentials and request header are used just minutes before this 
request successfully so I'm not sure why this happens.

How can I proceed?

Creating a CustomAudience in behalf of my customer

I am working at a marketing application that, after the user has granted 
the necessary permissions to the app, creates a custom audience in the 
customer's google profile.

In order to do so I am using an unofficial which allows me to do so with 
NodeJS. After creating the necessary objects (client and customer) I try to 
retrieve the listAccessibleCustomers but I keep getting ERROR 7: PERMISSION 
DENIED.
As customer_id I am using the customer id and as login_customer_id I am 
using my app (manager) id.

The error includes the following link:

Here it says I lack the necessary permissions. How can I activate it?

Not able to mutate Campaign Budget and AdGroup Bid

Hi,

I am trying to make a request to the Google Ads API.
I am using the REST APIs and not the SDKs.

The requests that I am facing issues with are -

   - Updating Campaign Budget:

I seem to be getting the following error

Campaign Proximities are not working correctly

Something really weird is going on, some days they are created correctly 
without any problems and some other days it just fails.

I always test it with different values, and for instance, yesterday it was 
working fine with "barcelona" as the city name, and today it isn't.

The error I'm getting is: "The Proximity address cannot be geocoded to a 
valid lat/long".

Does this happen to anyone else?

I know that such a weird behavior might imply that I'm not passing the 
correct city name, but... I checked and double checked and its really not 
the case.

to generate traffic, kindly double check if your campaign is active. If it's 
already active, you may reach out to the product support team using the help 
tab from Google Ads UI or via this link, so that further investigation can be 
done by looking into the account.

Not getting Combined Audience List by API call

[AMAP TEST]

Hi Team,

We want to get the *customers.combinedAudiences.get * list so we have 
created combined audiences on Ad server and we are trying to get the list 
by using API call(GET 
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v9/{resourceName=customers/*/combinedAudiences/*}
). 
We are getting empty data in response. can you please let us how to  create 
combined audience on Ad server and how to get it by using above API call.

clause.

but it just return the structure data of performance max campaign, not the 
report data. 
Is API just only support structure data, not report data yet ?

Can't set Maximize conversion bidding strategy

Hi,

I'm using Google ads V8 PHP API for responsive display ad & App promotion 
(install only). If am setting any target cost then its working for both. 
But if i want to set default "Maximize conversion" strategy, its not 
working. As in google ads web UI, if any cost not set then it apply 
Maximize conversion strategy. Same thing am also trying through php API. 
But it not working. Can you pls help me to resolve this.

No data by custom conversions events for specific campaigns

Every day we upload offline conversions using Google Ads API V8.
We noticed that some campaigns for one of our customers haven't data by our 
custom conversion event.

We are sure that we upload conversion events correctly, otherwise, we 
wouldn't have data for all campaigns.

I'm able to share any API requests and customer-specific information 
privately.

response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end? You can 
use the -i flag in your curl command so that your tool will include the HTTP 
response headers in the output.
