Expiration date for Users in userlist

We are currently pushing custom audiences to google ads using
UserListService. I wanted to check if there is some way we can set an

Re: authorization_error: USER_PERMISSION_DENIED

2022-07-12 Thread Phil Rotella
This same thing happened to me yesterday starting at 3:30 pm ET. Individual
calls weren't consistently failing; the exact same call could succeed once,
then fail for "USER_PERMISSION_DENIED", then succeed. I upgraded my Google
Ads API from version 10 to version 11 around 4:45 pm ET and haven't had it
happen since.

Out of curiosity, I then downgraded back to version 10 and the issue did
NOT reappear. It's possible Google fixed an internal issue at the same time
that I upgraded, though I suspect the problem was in an older dependency
package.

RE: Automatic bidding for display conversion campaign

2022-07-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi SR,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

To answer your question, I suggest first to clarify this to the Google Ads
Product team via this link as they are more equipped to give guidance on this
topic. However, if you receive suggestions from the product team, you can check
this document if this is available in the API. If it is available, you can
follow this guide to know how to apply a bidding strategy to a campaign.

RE: Wrong RESOURCE_LIMIT error triggered

2022-07-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Goncalo,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

To further investigate this issue, could you please provide the complete API
request and response logs with request-id and login-customer-id that generated
on your end? This information will help our team to better check the root cause
of error. If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the
Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation,
which you can access from this link.

You can provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is
not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

With regard to your concern, could you please confirm if you already configured
that Protobuf implementation based on this document? If not, please do so.
However, if the issue still persists I can suggest reaching out to the author

RE: ERROR: USER_PERMISSION_DENIED

2022-07-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

Since we didn't receive your provided info in your email, I’m assuming that
you’re encountering an AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED error. Kindly
note that you may receive the error ‘USER_PERMISSION_DENIED’ when a user
doesn't have permission to access a customer and you’re accessing a client
customer using 'login-customer-id’ in the request. A common cause is when
Authenticating as a user with access to a manager account but not specifying
login-customer-id in the request.

That being said, you will need to ensure that the user / email address you used
to generate the credentials indeed has access to the account in your request.
If the user / email address has access or is associated with the MCC / manager
account, you will need to specify the MCC / manager account's ID without
hyphens (-) as the value of the login-customer-id field.

If you still persist with the error, you may provide us with the complete
request and response logs, with the request-id along with the email address
used to generate the OAuth2 credentials via sending on our direct email support
alias googleadsapi-supp...@google.com, so that I can continue to investigate
further.

Google Ads API suddenly just returns invalid argument (grpc code: 3)

2022-07-12 Thread Anders Klixbull
Hello!

I am getting stats from google ads api and it has been working fine for a
long time, but suddenly today it returns invalid argument for all queries.
The same queries worked fine yesterday..
i am using google ads C# .NET library and this in an example query:

SELECT campaign.id,campaign.name,campaign.status,
campaign.serving_status,segments.date,metrics.cost_micros,metrics.conversions,metrics.cost_per_conversion,metrics.invalid_clicks

FROM campaign WHERE segments.date >=  20210908 AND segments.date <=
20220711 AND campaign.status IN ('ENABLED', 'PAUSED', 'REMOVED')

I get this exception:
{"Status(StatusCode=\"InvalidArgument\", Detail=\"Request contains an
invalid argument.\",
DebugException=\"Grpc.Core.Internal.CoreErrorDetailException:
{\"created\":\"@1657629584.76000\",\"description\":\"Error received

Thanks in advance!

RE: NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_BUDGET_TYPE

2022-07-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

Based on this document, if the PaymentMode is set as CONVERSIONS, the
BudgetType should be FIXED_CPA. However, the BudgetType of the budget you set
in the create campaign is STANDARD and this is the reason why you encountered
the error. With this, try setting a budget with BudgetType as FIXED_CPA to
address the error.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

campaign and, on a daily basis, removes some IPs and adds some others,
always within this limit.

However, recently when making an API call that does all the required
operations I receive an error with code *"resourceCountLimitExceededError":
"RESOURCE_LIMIT" *and the trigger as *"NEGATIVE_IP_BLOCKS_PER_CAMPAIGN"*.
But I am sure the math is correct.

On trying to address it, I can see that even when I delete something alone,
the API still keeps counting those deleted IPs for an undetermined amount
of time. But if I query for the IPs that are blocked they are not listed.
After that undetermined amount of time that can range from some seconds to
many minutes (and maybe hours in some cases) I am then finally able to add
some IPs again.

However, in the past few weeks I have witnessed, first, a small increase in
errors due to this issue, then in the last few days, a very significant
increase causing many issues in my processes.

Is there any problem or a way to more correctly address this?

Thanks in advance,
Gonçalo

Re: Get reach estimate

2022-07-12 Thread Quang Binh Dinh
I executed "GetGeoTargetConstantsByNames.php" file to get reach metrics
from location
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/blob/986e0ead76e9d73950f5689474768497a501f592/examples/Targeting/GetGeoTargetConstantsByNames.php
But the reach estimate that I have, is not based on Keywords. In what code
examples can I get reach metrics from Locations and Keywords?

Re: How to add images to a search ad group?

2022-07-12 Thread Jan Jouke Tjalsma
Hi Heidi,

Is there any update on image asset extensions (on ad group level)? At the
moment we are able to create image assets using the UI, but not
programmatically. The blog post you linked still says "Developers can start
migrating in Q3 2022" (and we are currently in Q3).

We have tried using Ads API v11 creating the image extensions
extensionfeedsettings and adgroupassets but neither seems to work although
creation of the image assets itself works fine.

Is it correct that the only way to add these currently is the UI of Google
Ads?

Kind regards,

Jan Jouke

Re: Account Budgets "Changes under review"

2022-07-12 Thread Danny Quinn
Thanks for the response.

The api worked as expected I guess the issue is with the Google Ads
Platform itself. I will contact them directly.

Regards

Danny

Target CPA bidding strategy

2022-07-12 Thread SR
Please confirm whether setting up the Target CPA within Maximize Conversion
is different from Target CPA bidding. If so, how is it different and which
one is recommended?
"maximizeConversions": { "targetCpaMicros": string }
Vs
"targetCpa": { "targetCpaMicros": string }

Similar case for Target ROAS as well.
"maximizeConversionValue": {"targetRoas": number}
Vs
"targetRoas": {"targetRoas": number}

Please let me know which one to be used.
