Hi,

We are still running into the same issue for large reports (our small ones
never stopped working either).

Responsive Search Ads - Clicks etc. on actual combinations of headlines

2022-09-28 Thread Benjamin Constantine

When we pull campaign performance data for Respinsive Search Ads from the
Google Ads API , we have no way of seeing which combination exactly
generated which share of the clicks and which combination got the largest
share of the budget.

This information was available in the following fields for Expanded Text
Ads:

   1.

   [Expanded Text Ad Headline 1]
   2.

   [Expanded Text Ad Headline 2]
   3.

   etc

With Responsive Search Ads it seems as if I can only get data on *all* of
the Headlines via the field [Responsive Search Headlines]. What I can not
see is the performance of individual *combinations* of headlines, i.e. the
headlines that were actually shown to the users who clicked.

Thanks, Benjamin

Re: API requests timing out

2022-09-28 Thread Robert Heise
Hi Sherwin,

I think there are enough posts from various developers in multiple threads
which are pointing to the same problem: search_stream in Google Ads API not
ending the stream properly, leaving the stream open and being killed at
some point by some timeout. Please check
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/Uwqy0BlkNDA and
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/Gx4QN7ER33s threads as well, they
describe the same issue in the Google Ads API and have I think sufficient
information to further check the issue on Google side.

As mentioned in other threads linked, it would be great to have an ETA and
a status page where this issue can be tracked in a clear way instead of
various threads in this forum.

Thanks,

Robert

Resource getting exhausted even in the standard access level developer token

2022-09-28 Thread Mayank Mangal
Hi team,

I am using google Ads REST API's searchStream method to fetch search terms
data. I am experiencing an issue saying resource_exhausted even when I am
using developer token with standard access.
According to this doc
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/access-levels), there is
unlimited access to the tokens with Standard access level. However, we are
getting this issue. Mentioning here the exact error that I am getting as a
response:

 { "error": { "code": 429, "message": "Resource has been exhausted (e.g.
check quota).", "status": "RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED", "details": [ { "@type":
"type.googleapis.com/google.ads.googleads.v11.errors.GoogleAdsFailure",
"errors": [ { "errorCode": { "quotaError": "RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED" },
"message": "Too many requests. Retry in 4 seconds.", "details": {
"quotaErrorDetails": { "rateScope": "ACCOUNT", "rateName": "Requests per
service per method", "retryDelay": "4s" } } } ],
 "requestId": "AbXI0ljZWuRuXTaOaoTL5w" } ] } }

Can I get an exact idea regarding what are the limitations, so that I can
fulfill them based on our needs and also follow the best practices of using
the API?

Happy to share any more info regarding it, if needed.

Thanks,
Mayank Mangal

 still having the same issue. Some reports finish, most of them don't,
 search_stream requests not finishing and getting stuck.

 Please provide an ETA when the issue will be resolved on Google side.

 Also for us, the large reports still fail. With HTTP requests or with
 the client library in the ads to bq dataflow pipeline.

 Smaller reports do work, but they never stopped working on our end.

Need Information on Ad Strength Data for Performance Max Campaign Type

2022-09-28 Thread Harshitha
Hello Team,

We would need the Campaign Id, Campaign Name, Campaign Type, Ad Strength,
Ad Id, and Ad status for the Performance Max campaigns. However, We are
not getting the ad strength column for the Performance Max campaigns.

*Query Used: *
SELECT campaign.status,campaign.name, campaign.advertising_channel_type,
campaign.id, asset_group.ad_strength, asset_group.id, asset_group.campaign
FROM asset_group WHERE campaign.status = 'ENABLED' AND asset_group.status =
'ENABLED'

*Code: *
ServerStream stream =
gAdsAPIRequest.fetchServiceResponse(gAdsServiceClient, customerId, query);
if (stream != null) {
for (SearchGoogleAdsStreamResponse response : stream) {
for (GoogleAdsRow googleAdsRow : response.getResultsList()) {
Campaign campaign = googleAdsRow.getCampaign();
AssetGroup asset = googleAdsRow.getAssetGroup();
Metrics metrics = googleAdsRow.getMetrics();
Segments segments = googleAdsRow.getSegments();
}
}
}

*Response I got:*
googleAdsRow = (com.google.ads.googleads.v11.services.GoogleAdsRow)
campaign {
  resource_name: "customers//campaigns/"
  status: ENABLED
  advertising_channel_type: PERFORMANCE_MAX
  name: "Performance_Max_Top_Category"
  id: XXX
}
asset_group {

RE: Responsive Search Ads - Clicks etc. on actual combinations of headlines

2022-09-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

For you to see the performance of individual combinations of headlines, could
you try below GAQL and see if you’re seeing the expected results on your end?

SELECT ad_group_ad.ad.responsive_search_ad.descriptions,

ad_group_ad.ad.responsive_search_ad.headlines,

metrics.impressions,

asset.text_asset.text,

ad_group_ad_asset_view.performance_label

FROM ad_group_ad_asset_view

WHERE ad_group_ad.ad.type = 'RESPONSIVE_SEARCH_AD'

AND ad_group_ad.ad.id = 5***41**956

If you are not seeing expected results, you may provide us the complete Ads UI
without cropping showing data that you want to pull in API via reply privately
to author option, so that we can check better.

Joining Of two table into Google Ads API

2022-09-28 Thread Shweta Suthar
Hi Team,

Is it possible to join two tables *ad_group_ad *and *recommendation *? I'm
trying to get the both ad type details with a single query using join
statement.

Thanks,
Shweta Shweta

RE: Error

2022-09-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. A slowdown has been reported for the Google Ads API.
However, it has been indicated on another forum post that traffic should be
returning to normal levels. Can you please confirm if you're still seeing the
"Stream removed" issue?

Thanks,

Re: Get Ads Details Type wise

2022-09-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Shweta,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Since you mentioned that some fields have no value, could you help us to
understand what field values are you expecting to be retrieved in the API
response? Also, could you please enable logging on your end so Analyzing the
API request and response will be easier? We would require complete request and
response logs with the request-id, so that we can check better.

If in case API response is not pulling values of fields but you are able to see
in Ads UI, then you may send us the Ads UI screenshot showing discrepancies
that the data exists on UI and API is not pulling so that we can investigate
further. Kindly provide the requested details via reply privately to author
option if responding via Forum thread.

RE: Resource getting exhausted even in the standard access level developer token

2022-09-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Mayank,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

You can refer to our API limits and quotas and Rate limits guides for more
information on the API limits you need to consider.

Also, so our team can further investigate and possibly raise this issue to the
rest of our team, could you confirm if the issue persists? In addition, if the
issue is still being encountered, could you also share the updated and complete
request and response logs, and request-id?

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Re: Resource getting exhausted even in the standard access level developer token

2022-09-28 Thread Mayank Mangal
Hi Peter,

I have already attached the response above. Attaching it again here with
proper formatting:

{
  "error": {
"code": 429,
"message": "Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota).",
"status": "RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED",

"message": "Too many requests. Retry in 4 seconds.",
"details": {

"retryDelay": "4s"
  }
}
  }
],
"requestId": "AbXI0ljZWuRuXTaOaoTL5w"
  }
]
  }
}

*Request Id:* "AbXI0ljZWuRuXTaOaoTL5w"

Also, everywhere it is mentioned that there is a specific system limit on
how many requests can be triggered concurrently. But what is that limit? I
need to know this because I will then keep my requests in such a way that
it does not lead to "*RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED*" error later.

This is the request type:
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v11/customers/{CLIENT_CUSTOMER_ID}/googleAds:searchStream

where the payload of the API is a query with "*search_term_view*".

sounds like we don't need to verify. which is good.

i can certainly create (and reauthenticate) desktop apps.

assuming the following:

a. accessing 25 accounts nightly
b. backend process using ads.properties paradigm via Google's JAVA v11 libs

 If i do this will the desktop client stop working periodically and require
reauthorization or should i expect it to persist forever.

thanks

Re: API requests timing out

2022-09-28 Thread serghei....@gmail.com
Looks like the main issue is that the stream will not get closed after
fetching all the rows, and this happens mainly on bigger reports. The full
result is actually arriving fine, but after the last received row, the loop
will just hang.
We've tried to split the requested 3 months period for the report in
smaller chunks of 7 days each, and no hanging happened. Hopefully this
"ugly workaround" will help someone in the mean time

Refresh Token Check

Error: The developer token is not approved.

2022-09-28 Thread Jaime Oliver
I am getting this error when trying to run a report using my customerID.

*Error: The developer token is not approved. Non-approved developer tokens
can only be used with test accounts.*

When I created my manager account in order to interact with the API, there
was a google ads account automatically created. This is what I'm using as
my CustomerID. Is this not the correct account I should be using when
querying?

USER_PERMISSION_DENIED - User doesn't have permission to access customer.

2022-09-28 Thread Jaime Oliver
I am having some real issues trying to use the Google Ads API.

I have followed all the steps to get the app running and authenticated. I
am using the LaravelExampleApp from here:
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/blob/HEAD/examples/LaravelSampleApp/README.md

I am getting this error when trying to run a report :
"authorizationError":"USER_PERMISSION_DENIED"},"message":"User doesn't have
permission to access customer. Note: If you're accessing a client customer,
the manager's customer id must be set in the 'login-customer-id' header.

I am using the developerToken from my live manager account from the API
Center along with my cientID and clientSecret and refreshToken from the GCP
Project and OAuth credentials. I created a TEST Manager account so that I
could create a TEST CLIENT account. I updated those credentials inside the
google_ads_php.ini file in my project folder.

The app runs but when I try to run a report against the test client account
using the test client_id I get that error. I tried to link or create the
test client account inside my live manager account but was unable to do so.

My developer token is only allowed to run reports on test accounts but it
doesn't let me run reports on any of the test accounts I created under the
Test Manager account.

This is all overly complicated. Can anyone provide some assistance?
