RE: The data between the two tables of google ads is inconsistent

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi William,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

Kindly note that Google Ads API retrieves data that you can see in the Google
Ads UI. You mentioned that you are comparing the cost for the campaign and the
ad_group_ad_asset_view. Having said that, please note that it is not
recommended to compare the cost of these 2 as they are at different levels. The
campaign report is for the campaign level and the ad_group_ad_asset_view is for
the ad level. So it is expected that the cost pulled from these 2 reports are
not equal.

Please see reference below:

For ad_group_ad_asset_view:

SELECT metrics.cost_micros FROM ad_group_ad_asset_view WHERE segments.date =
'20221104'

"summaryRow": {

"metrics": {

"costMicros": "23061269818"

}

}

For campaign:

SELECT metrics.cost_micros FROM campaign WHERE segments.date = '20221104’

"summaryRow": {

"metrics": {

"costMicros": "25890341030"

}

}

Let me know if you have further questions.

RE: Disapproved sitelinks

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum. I hope you are doing well
today.

I understand your concern about the “disapproved sitelink” and having thought
of pausing your “campaign”. In line with this you can start, pause, or remove
your campaigns. Pausing or removing a campaign will stop its ads from showing.

But please keep in mind that when you resume a paused campaign your campaign
might not start running if you've also paused the campaign's ad groups,
keywords, or ads. In that case, you'll need to individually resume the paused
ad groups, keywords, or ads.

Please refer to this document for more information.

For further questions, you may reach out to the Google ADs product support team.

Re: create app campaign failed using google ads java sdk

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The request/response i provided is use the guide you mentioned above.
I am trying to create an app campaign via
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/app-campaigns/create-campaign#focus_install_action,

but got an error response.It looks likely caused by param
"selective_optimization".So I think I could copy the param
"selective_optimization" from an app campaign created in google ads UI to
fix it but still failed. The response just contains an UNKNOWN code and no
other useful info.

Re: create and update user list with Google Ads API

2022-12-12 Thread derek
Hi

Thank you for the info.

If I want to create a new list with my preferred List ID, eg. 1234567890,
which set methods should I use to set the List ID?

// Creates the new user list.
UserList userList =
UserList.newBuilder()
.setName("Customer Match list #" + getPrintableDateTime())
.setDescription("A list of customers that originated from email
addresses")
// Customer Match user lists can use a membership life span of
10,000 to indicate
// unlimited; otherwise normal values apply.
// Sets the membership life span to 30 days.
.setMembershipLifeSpan(30)
// Sets the upload key type to indicate the type of identifier
that will be used to
// add users to the list. This field is immutable and required
for an ADD operation.
.setCrmBasedUserList(
CrmBasedUserListInfo.newBuilder()
.setUploadKeyType(CustomerMatchUploadKeyType.
CONTACT_INFO))
.build();

If I want to remove all data from an existing list which has List ID
1234567890, how do I indicate to remove from this List ID?

For this campaign (Google-JP-AND-221104-UAC1.0-YZL-newinstall-JP), the data

22022110538997.7229
20221106  62731.7378

Hi Jon,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

With regards to your question, kindly note that orderId is the unique order ID
(transaction ID) of the conversion, and order_id called transaction_id as well.
If the conversion was reported with an order ID specified, that order ID must
be used as the identifier here. Conversion Adjustment API the design is to use
order_id since enhancements MUST use order ID instead of GCLID date/time pair.

Disapproved sitelinks

2022-12-12 Thread Chris
I have a 'disapproved sitelink' to the most critical page on our site that
I fixed last night and re-submitted. I assume I should pause my campaign
until it's approved because the campaign is pretty useless without that
page or do I need to keep it running to get the approval? Is my logic
correct about the campaign being useless with this disapproval in place or
will it be ok because I've fixed the actual link? Thanks

RE: Why is the "creative quality score" (aka ad relevance) associated with an ad group criterion?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Nelson,

Thanks for reaching out. The quality score metric is measured at the keyword
level, not the ad level. Keywords are ad group criteria, and so this score is
available for the ad group criterion resource. It is also available in the
keyword_view as a metric.

Re: CartData in ClickConversions?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Max' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,

as for "v8 is sunset": I referred to the REST API which is v11 and Flo was
referring to RPC v12 – the v8 blog-article was just posted in order to ask
weather this is still so beta'ish (as per the current API labels) that this
might be the reason we could not find any actual data in the tracking
itself.

We will proceed and ask the Google Ads Product Support Team for further
insights and get back to you guys once we have an answer!

Thank you
Max

RE: CartData in ClickConversions?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi everyone,

Hi everyone, the v8 is unfortunately already sunset. You can refer here for the
currently supported, and upcoming API versions.

Cart data is included in the upload click conversions guide and this section
discusses how it can be included, along with possible formats to follow. In
addition, if API requests did not return any errors (make sure to check your
response logs), then your requests should be successfully uploaded into your
Google Ads accounts.

As for tracking its (cart data) information in your Google Ads account's
campaigns or in the reports, I would recommend reaching out first to the Google
Ads Product Support team for further insight. This is because as of now,
retrieving them in the API's reports does not appear to be supported as seen in
the available fields in the relevant reports such as the
shopping_performance_view, and campaign view of the API.

If the Product Support team can provide a Google Ads UI view where this data is
available, you can send over its screenshot to our team and via the Reply
privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the
details directly to our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Our team can then check if any other resources can be used to retrieve the
data, or create a feature request (subject for review), for its support in the
Google Ads API.

RE: create app campaign failed using google ads java sdk

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API team. I hope you are doing well
today.

Upon checking your concern, It appears that you encountered the UNKNOWN error
"The received error code is not known in this version." Also, you mentioned
creating an app campaign in google ads UI and you copy the parameter and use
google ads java sdk to create an app campaign. With this, could you try to
create the apps campaign via this guide and App Campaign code. This guide
contains information on how to create apps campaign via Google Ads API. When
you're done trying the said guide, let us know if you still ran into the
UNKNOWN error "The received error code is not known in this version."

RE: create and update user list with Google Ads API

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You are using correct example that only you can create a new list through
Google Ads API and not update an existing list. You may need to remove existing
user list then add new updated user list. Listed in this section of our
customer match guide are the ways you can initially remove the audiences.

Later on once you have removed the previous audiences, you may then use the
example you specified earlier, to add new audiences into your customer match
user lists. You can also refer to the considerations listed here, where one of
the items states :

To completely replace the members of a user list with new members, order the
operations in AddOfflineUserDataJobOperationsRequest in this sequence:
1. Set remove_all to true in an OfflineUserDataJobOperation.
2. For each new member, add a create operation setting their UserData in an
OfflineUserDataJobOperation.

Let me know if this helps clarify your concern.

Thanks,

Hi Ramanajee,

Thank you for your reply. I'm also a member of the Google Ads API support team
and allow me to assist you here.

The use_vehicle_inventory field is supported only in smart shopping campaigns.
However, as previously announced on our blog, Starting July 2022, existing and
future Smart Shopping campaigns (SSC) will begin automatic upgrades to
Performance Max campaigns. The possible reason why you have encountered the
OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CAMPAIGN_TYPE which means that this operation is
not permitted on this campaign type. With this, could you please create a
Performance Max campaign instead and try to include use_vehicle_inventory field.

Let me know what goes after.

Re: CartData in ClickConversions?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Max' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
To add to this:

The RPC API docs are pretty inconsistent in regards to CartData (missing /
wrong field-types and missing information) however the REST API docs are
much better
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v11/customers/uploadClickConversions)

so we implemented click-conversion uploads through the REST API.

A complete (single) sample-conversion in the conversions-array looks like
this:

{
  gclid: '123',
  conversionAction: 'customers/12345678/conversionActions/987654321',
  conversionDateTime: '2022-12-05 22:00:00+01:00'
  conversionValue: '0.02'
  currencyCode: 'USD',
  cartData: {
merchantId: '123'
feedCountryCode: 'US', // not sure if this needs to be upper- or
lowercase
feedLanguageCode: 'us' // not sure if this needs to be upper- or
lowercase
localTransactionCost: 0,
items: {
  productId: '123abc',
  quantity: 2,
  unitPrice: 1.2,
},
  },
}

The API response does not throw any errors, yet we are not able to find the
submitted (cart)data within the dashboards.

Specific questions (in addition to "are there any addition docs regardings
this feature?" and "does this need to be enabled first?") are:

- Did we get something completely wrong here?
- Does the sample-conversion match the required syntax?
- If not, are there any mandatory fields missing, for example
conversionEnvironment or orderId?
- What is the expected format (upper- or lowercase) of feedCountryCode and
feedLanguageCode?

Any additional input is very appreciated!

Thanks
Max

Why is the "creative quality score" (aka ad relevance) associated with an ad group criterion?

2022-12-12 Thread Nelson Brochado
Hello.

My question is in the title, but let me elaborate on why I am asking it.

If an ad group criterion is some kind of filter that we apply to an ad
group (so I suppose that each ad in that ad group also "inherits" this
criterion/filter) and if the "ad relevance
" is a property of an
ad, then I don't understand why we would have the property
ad_group_criterion.quality_info.creative_quality_score

 under
the ad group criterion rather than the ad. We cannot find this property in
ad_group_ad, but it's a property of an ad, even the documentation

states "Output only. The performance of the ad compared to other
advertisers."

Note: I'm not asking how to get the ad relevance for an ad. I already asked
that in another post. I'm asking why we find the ad relevance for an ad
inside the ad group criterion in the API. This is somehow a follow-up
question to my previous question.

Thanks for all the help.
Kind regards

CartData in ClickConversions?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Florian Glede' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

we are a CSS using shopping campaigns and uploading conversions via google
ads api / clickconversions / cart_data.

There is not really any other resource for using CartData with
clickconversions out there then this:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v12/CartData

Also it seems to be pretty fresh:
https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2021/06/announcing-v8-of-google-ads-api.html
(cart_data has been added to v8 API version in 06 2021)

Has anyone more informations about "CartData"? Does it need to be enabled
first as shopping cart data still in beta and there is no resource on
CartData via clickconversions?

We exspected the passed data to be shown within a shopping campaign in
campaigns "products" tab within the shopping stats columns for example
"orders" or "avg. cart size".

Example how we use cart_data:

"cartData": {
"merchantId": 1234567890,
"feedCountryCode": "DE",
"feedLanguageCode": "de",
"localTransactionCost": 0,
"items": {
  "productId": "1234567890",
  "quantity": 2,
  "unitPrice":100.01
}

All conversion parts before that like gclid, conversion value etc are
working and recording.

Appreciate your help community!

Florian

RE: Not able to find audience estimate for Youtube and Gmail

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Arjun,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I’m glad to assist you today. Let me answer you questions:

On getting userlist details from google ads using rest api we are not able to
get the audience size for gmail and youtube. At the same time we are able to
get search and display sizes. Is there any api that is available to get the
gmail and youtube audience size?

If you are trying to retrieve the size of the user list available for targeting
in YouTube and Gmail campaigns which are currently not available via API. We
already raised a feature request for your concern internally within our team.
Please keep an eye on our blog post for further updates and announcements.

Also what is the difference between Ad Destination type & Ad Network type?

With regard to Ad Destination type, it supports the enum found here:

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v12/AdDestinationTypeEnum.AdDestinationType

For the Ad Network type, it has different enums here:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v12/AdNetworkTypeEnum.AdNetworkType

To know the difference between those, you may reach out to product support at
https://support.google.com/google-ads/?hl=en#topic=10286612

How can we get the metrics for a campaign in different channels like Youtube?

Currently, Youtube metrics aren't available in the API. But we have already
made a request for Youtube metrics. However, this request is subject to review.
So what we can do is to advise you to keep an eye on our blog for an update. If
this is possible in the UI, could you please provide us a non-cropped and
non-redacted full screenshot of the UI where we can see the metrics in
different channels in Youtube?

Kindly note that Google Ads API mirrors the Google Ads UI. In order for our
team to provide the accurate suggestions to you, could you provide the whole
screenshot of the Google Ads UI showing this data?

Marjorie

upload business logo and company name via api

2022-12-12 Thread FW API
Hi there,

we need to know if there is a way to create an asset via api - that is to
be used as business-log in Ads.

I did find documentation how tu upload e.g. image-assets but if i get it
right, those cannot be used as business-logos.

To end with questions:
1. is there a way to create business-logs via the ads api?
2. is there a way to create a company-name via the ads api?

best regarts

RE: How to get the ad relevant for each ad?

2022-12-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Nelson,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I understand your concern about getting the “AdRelevance” information and to
get the data segmented by ad (and also ad_group and campaign). Note that
following fields available for the historical quality score:

metrics.historical_creative_quality_score ---> To get creative historical
quality score.
metrics.historical_quality_score > To get the historical quality score.

However, for us to better assist you with this matter, can you provide us with
a complete screenshot of UI fields that you want to retrieve using API report?
kindly provide the screenshot via Reply privately to the author option.

Your response will be highly appreciated to further assist you. Have a great
day.

  According to the code below

var customerId = long.Parse("");
var locationIds = new[]

var languageId = long.Parse("1000");

What code should I enter in the locationIds field instead of the New York

create and update user list with Google Ads API

2022-12-12 Thread derek
Hi

I am migrating from Google AdWords API to Google Ads API.
I need to be able to create user list and also to update existing user
lists (containing email addresses).

Is this the example

to refer to?
If I want to create a new user list with the List ID provided by me, how
should I do it?
If I want to update an existing user list content, how can I do it?

How do I pull in "Unique users", "Avg. impr. freq per user", and "Frequency Distribution (1+,2+,3+,4+,5+,10+)"?

2022-12-12 Thread sanketta...@gmail.com
Hi,

We need to pull the below list of metrics from the Google Ads API. We
checked the documentation but couldn't find these metrics.

Metrics:
"Unique users", "Avg. impr. freq per user", and "Frequency Distribution
(1+,2+,3+,4+,5+,10+)"

Could you let us know if the data is available with another name or metric
closer to these metrics? Attaching a snap for your reference.

Thanks,
Sanket

Hi Kai-Lin,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I understand your concern about getting the “AdRelevance,
LandingPageExperience, and DaysToConversion” information at an ad level. But
for us to better assist you with this matter, can you provide us with a
complete screenshot of UI fields that you want to retrieve an API report? If it
includes errors in API, you can also provide us with complete request and
response logs with request ID generated for said report.

Please also note that if you want to retrieve data from ad level, then you may
use the ad_group_ad report. See full documentation here.

If you will respond with sensitive information, you can provide it via Reply
