Dismiss recommendation issue

2023-01-20 Thread Aaron Weiner
Hello,

I am trying to work with this example code:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/samples/dismiss-recommendation#c

The issue that I'm having is the code in that C# example is looking for the
following variable: recommendationId which is of the long data type.

There is no recommendationId that are numerical (long). They are all string
values.

What am I missing here?

How can I tell if I am being impacted by this issue:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/rmf#requirements_for_api_clients_providing_recommendation_service

Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

Aaron

Re: Problem with AddBillingSetup.php example

2023-01-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello -

Thanks for bringing this issue up! I'm a developer relations engineer jumping
in to help out here. The internal error I see for your request ID is
CUSTOMER_BILLING_ERROR_CANNOT_CREATE_IN_PAST, which is kind of confusing since
you are setting the start date the same as the date of the request.

This actually does not appear to be specific to the PHP library, we use the
same pattern in Python and other languages, and I've seen other users encounter
this problem.

Currently the issue has been escalated to the Billing team, who is exposing
that internal error and also helping resolve the discrepancy between our
example and the API's behavior.

Once I have more details I'll follow up to let you know.

Thanks!

I guess now is required?

RE: Error in AdGroupCriterion

2023-01-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ernesto,

Thank you for reaching us out. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API support team. I
hope that you are doing well today.

Moving forward to your concern, based on the error you encountered, "Dimension
type of listing group must be the same as that of its siblings." Upon checking
the logs. I see that the type you use in your request is 'type: UNIT'. However,
when I impersonate the logs you provided on my end. I noticed that the type
result I got is "LISTING_GROUP". With this, you may try to use the
LISTING_GROUP type on your request. Add to that, I also checked the adgroup id
144928363826, from customer id 3084423348, and upon checking we cannot find
this ad_group id. With this, kindly make sure that the ad_group id you are
using in the resource name is correct.

Furthermore since we can see on the logs that you are still using Google Ads
API v10, please note that this version of Google Ads API will be sunset on
February 1, 2023 as posted here in this blog post. We highly suggest that all
Google Ads API v10 to users to upgrade to the newest version of Google Ads API.

Let us know how it goes on your end.

Kind regards,

Sherwin Vincent

Very big numbers in campaign report

2023-01-20 Thread 'Oksana Sulyma' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Google Ads API team!

We use Campaign performance
report https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v12/campaign and
official google-ads-php library.
For one of our clients we get the next values in report:
"allConversionsValue":7.89899989e+23
(I'll be happy to share complete request/response log in private message).

Do we understand correct that this is a number in exponential form which is
equal to 789899989000 ? Is it OK to have this big number for
allConversionsValue for 1 day and 1 campaign?

Looking forward for any insight on my question.

Thanks,
Oksana

Re: Re:

2023-01-20 Thread 'Miquel Isern Roca' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello again,

to answer Caramela, I indeed tried and retried sending the operations
multiple times on different days even. That's why I ended up opening the
issue.

Regarding your answer Anash, I'm aware that the size is the issue because
sending a smaller amount of ListingGroups operations ( i think under 10k)
works.
My question is why this is so?
A ListingGroup tree has a limit of 20_000 nodes ( it is smaller for the new
PerformanceMax but not for normal Shopping Campaigns). And the limit of
operations that fit in a BatchJob in the new API goes up to a million. If
that's the case why am I not able to send the 20_000 operations to create a
single tree in a single BatchJob?

Hi Matt,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API Forum.

I assume that you are using a client library. However, we have limited
understanding of the error syntaxes / messages generated from the client
library side. So our team can better investigate the issue you are
encountering, could you please provide us with the complete request and
response logs with the request-id generated on your end when you encountered
the said issue via reply privately to author option?

You may enable logging so you’ll get complete request and response logs along
with request-id by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex

If it helps, you may also try reaching out to the respective client library

guidance on this matter when it comes to Google Ads API client library issues /
