Getting Excluded Audiences by Campaign or Ad Group, is it possible?

2024-05-14 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

I can see audiences (user lists) via:

'SELECT user_list.name, campaign.id, campaign.name FROM
campaign_audience_view'

However, the results do not include Exclusions which I can see via
Audiences, Keywords and Content > Audiences > Exclusions within the UI.

Is this information available?

Note I don't need the stats, just 1) The excluded audience and 2) Which
campaign(s) its applied to.

Thanks,

Charles

Re: detailed demographics by campaign?

2024-05-13 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me, and apologies for the delay! That's good to
know.

Am I right in thinking this is the case for "Affinity Segment"s and
"In-market segment"s too?

Thanks,

Charles

Detailed Demographics by Campaign?

2024-04-22 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hello,

Is it possible to pull detailed_demographic

data by campaign?

It isn't available via campaign_criterion or ad_group_criterion and I can't
think where else to look.

I just need to know which Detailed Demographics have been added to each
campaign (Ad Group will do too).

Thanks,

Charles

Although I should add: the data isn't available in the UI.

Is there a transactions (conversions by transaction ID) report via the API?

2024-01-24 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

I'm looking for a report containing all conversions (transactions) at the
conversion level. I can't find anything in the docs but thought I'd check.

That or a way to track them going forward.

Thanks,

Charles

Was there a solution to this? I have the same issue.

Just some clarification around whether the labels report is supposed to

Genders do not exist for campaigns created via Bulk Upload

2023-07-07 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

Please see this example code:

function main(){

  const genderSelector = AdsApp.videoTargeting()
.genders()
.withCondition("ad_group.status in (ENABLED, PAUSED, REMOVED)")
.withCondition("campaign.status in (ENABLED, PAUSED, REMOVED)")
.withCondition("ad_group_criterion.status in (ENABLED, PAUSED, REMOVED)"
);

  const genderIterator = genderSelector.get();

  while (genderIterator.hasNext()) {
let gender = genderIterator.next();
console.log(gender.getVideoAdGroup().getVideoCampaign().getName() + " -
" + gender.getVideoAdGroup().getName())
//here, campaigns/ad groups are only listed for the campaign I created
manually
//campaign created via bulk upload (I have 3) are not listed
  }
}

Per the comments, a campaign named "YouTube" (created manually) appears but
all my other campaigns aren't listed.

The campaign which are *not *showing:
 - Have the same campaign type
 - Have ad groups (and those ad groups obviously have genders)
 - Don't have any clicks or impressions

My account ID is 125-518-7903 and the script is named "Playground".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Charles

Re: Error creating google ads with youtube video asset

2023-05-09 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

Sorry, I actually managed to sort this.

I was also using scripts but it should be the same idea.

I first created the video asset using adMedia() i.e. not adAssets() which
didn't work.
Then I created the media by running the script.
Finally I got the asset via an iterator and created the advert successfully.

I imagine it's the same deal with the API.

Thanks

Re: "Listing Group UNIT node cannot have children" error when trying to add pmax listing group node

2022-12-06 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

Thanks for that.

Whilst I'm working out how to properly send the request and get the
response can I just ask a question?

You mentioned this:
*"Also, make sure that AssetGroupListingGroupFilters must be removed in a
specific order: all of the children of a filter must be removed before the
filter itself, otherwise the API will return an error."*

Do I need to remove the nodes before I can add to them again? I should just
re-build the whole tree?

When I follow the example you sent
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/samples/add-performance-max-product-listing-group-tree#python>
 it
works a treat when replace_existing_tree is True.

I.e. it works when I first create the root node then add to it.

Shouldn't I be able to:
 - Start with a root node
 - Remove the bit of code that creates the root node
 - Add the root node ID as the parent ID
 - And the rest of the units will be added?

No problem if not I just want to do it properly.

Thanks

Re: "Listing Group UNIT node cannot have children" error when trying to add pmax listing group node

2022-12-06 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

Thanks for that.

Whilst I'm working out how to properly send the request and get the
response can I just ask a question?

Do I need to remove the nodes before I can add to them again?

When I follow the example you sent

 it
works a treat when replace_existing_tree is True.

I.e. it works when I first create the root node then add to it.

Shouldn't I be able to:
 - Start with a root node
 - Remove the bit of code that creates the root node
 - Add the root node ID as the parent ID
 - And the rest of the units will be added?

 Thanks

"Listing Group UNIT node cannot have children" error when trying to add pmax listing group node

2022-12-04 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

I'm getting the following error: Listing Group UNIT node cannot have
children

Here's the python code:

_TEMPORARY_ID_LISTING_GROUP_ROOT = -1
operations = []

create_operation_factory = (
AssetGroupListingGroupFilterCreateOperationFactory(
client,
customer_id,
asset_group_id,
_TEMPORARY_ID_LISTING_GROUP_ROOT,
)
)

new_dimension = client.get_type("ListingGroupFilterDimension")
new_dimension.product_condition.condition = (
client.enums.ListingGroupFilterProductConditionEnum.NEW
)
operations.append(
create_operation_factory.create_subdivision(
'7914047195',#root id according to asset_group_listing_group_filter
report (api call)
create_operation_factory.next_id(),
new_dimension,
)
)
response = googleads_service.mutate(
customer_id=customer_id, mutate_operations=operations
)

Then note the current tree:

[image: pmax root product group.png]

As you can see, I'm working with the root node so should be able to add
children.

I'm using create_subdivision here but I've tried create_unit too.

Here's where I'm referencing those methods
from:
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-python/blob/1c01c5efaa4bc6edfe5bfa441cce487f3a3f850f/examples/shopping_ads/add_performance_max_product_listing_group_tree.py#L326-L452

I thought the issue might be the wrong parent_id provided to the
create_subdivision method (7914047195) but it's the only one available.

Thanks in advance.

Charles

Thanks Ernie sunshine.

I'm sure there's a general hankering for PMax data via the api!

Thanks

Hi,

There's no "DURING" with GAQL.

Try the GAQL query validator.

Hi,

Ah, sorry about that - I've sent another will the full UI this time.

To clarify, I'm within a PMax campaign then I've clicked on "Insights".

I've found a screenshot of the same thing online (not my account) below:

Performance Max (PMax) Insights via the API? Especially search terms or search categories

2022-07-11 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hello,
As per the title - is anything from the insights section available in the
API? I've had a look at can't find anything. Then obviously the search
terms don't appear under reports.
Thanks!
