Well, I can see them in the My Client Center interface and they are
still valid.

They worked at some point in the past since i've been able to pull
data from the API and they should not have changed since then.

Unable to access any service with MCC account

2010-09-30 Thread tousdan
Hey, got a problem with one of my accounts when using the AdWords API.

I've been trying to do calls to CampaignService.get but I keep
receiving this error:
AuthenticationError.CLIENT_EMAIL_INVALID @ ;
trigger:'xxx...@y.com' Service[CampaignService.get]

I've verified that the credentials i've been using we're correct but
im still getting the issue. All my client accounts seem to be causing
me problems in this account.

Thanks!

Is there anyway to know when this will be done?

By the way, is there any way this (http://groups.google.com/group/

similar case a year ago and the changes are still not available in the

Thanks for the reply

Unable to find geo-targetable locations

2010-08-17 Thread tousdan
Hi,

I've been trying to make a geo-targeting tool so that I might define
my campaign's geo-targeting but i've had a couple of issues along the
way that I can't solve myself.

First, I've been trying to replicate the structure shown in the
'Browse' tab of the adwords website geo-targeting. Basically, the
structure is Country->Province/Region->MetroArea->City. I've been
unable to find a list of up to date metro areas in the documentation
(http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/developer/
adwords_api_us_metros.html was the closest I could get). Colorado, for
instance, has 3 metros in the API reference but on the website it has
4.

Second, I've been unable to find the link between a city and the metro
it is associated with the API reference. This link is important for us
to get to enforce on our side a validation rule of the API
( TargetError : TARGET_IS_ENCLOSED_BY_ANOTHER_TARGET ). There is a way
to get this information by doing a lot of calls to the campaign target
API but this feels very hack-ish.

So is there an api reference that I am missing? Is there a service I
am missing which would let me retrieve the latest geo-targetable
locations offered by adwords? Is my approach to solving my problem
flawed?

Thanks.

AdWords API Missing locations in the api code list

2009-11-12 Thread tousdan
Hey everyone.

I've noticed something which bugs me when comparing adwords's
geotargeting interface and the constants defined in the api reference.
Some regions/cities are missing from the API code lists but are
present under the 'browse' tab of the location targeting UI.

Ex: Looking at Chile (Country). I see a couple of regions under Chile
but i'm unable to find any of these regions in the region code list
(http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/developer/
adwords_api_regions.html). Same goes for Egypt, Croatia, etc...

I'm currently basing my UI's list of targetable location using the
values in the code lists, am I doing it wrong or is there something
obvious that I am missing?

Thanks!

AdWords API Re: image data

2008-09-04 Thread tousdan

Well from what I know, when adding a new image ad to adwords, you do
not need to specify some fields that you seem to be filling.

As an example: width, imageUrl, height, mimeType.

AdWords API Unable to fetch account information in an MCC

2008-08-29 Thread tousdan

Here's the bogus situation:

I'm listing all the client emails from an MCC account using
getClientAccounts.
Using the client email provided by the previous call, I get the
information for this accounts using getAccountInfo

At one point I receive an error:

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/
envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-
instance">
   soapenv:Server.userException
Either this object does not exist, or this user does
not have permission to access it.

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/v12";>
 4
Either this object does not exist, or this user does
not have permission to access it.

I've tried accessing the account using the Adwords interface and
changing some settings of the client account and it worked fine.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other call should I do to
verify if this account is accessible?

Listing the MCC:
231468d27189721d29b129b5c168c7e3

Getting the information from the duplicate accounts:
173aa171ac65d74539bc9e3898ec4857
aaaf5ac868172b86e4fe34207a1e3390

I doubt the 2 last ones are relevant but still giving them to you.

Thanks for the reply. I'm unable to provide you with the customer IDs
since the account is not mine.

AdWords API MCC : Duplicate account in an MCC.

2008-08-25 Thread tousdan

Greetings.

I'm having issues with the following methods:
AccountService.getClientAccounts & AccountService.getAccountInfo. I've
been trying to get the accounts from an MCC account (using
getClientAccounts) then getting the detailed information for each
individual account (using getAccountInfo with the clientEmail provided
by getClientsAccounts).

Unfortunately I've just had an MCC which has different accounts using
the same email address and once I try to acquire each account
information, i'm receiving the same thing for both accounts. The only
hint I have that these accounts are different is that the customer ID,
when using the Adwords interface, is quite different.

As I understood it, duplicates in an MCC should not happen, so anybody
got a clue how I might acquire such information using the Adwords API?

Thanks!
