RE: how to change the email address of the developer token owner for the google ads api
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. Based on the information provided, I understand that you are encountering the invalid_grant error. Kindly note that the invalid_grant usually indicates an issue with the refresh token not with the developer token. That said, you’ll need to regenerate credentials and refresh tokens. According to the Google Ads API documentation, Google Cloud Platform project with an OAuth consent screen configured for an external user type and a publishing status of "Testing" is issued a refresh token expiring in 7 days. How to change the email address of the developer Token owner for the Google Ads API
Hello everyone! Faced with a problem - when deactivating the account i...@alytics.ru requests to the Google Ads API do not work for us, they return an error ('invalid_grant: Bad Request', {'error': 'invalid_grant', 'error_description': 'Bad Request'}) - as we understand it, this is due to the Developer Token, which is specified in the API Access in Google Ads. RE: issue with local services ads api and the deprecation of lsa's detailed lead report to google ads api
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. Please find the below response for your queries respectively. 1A. We are not the right team answer this query. I would suggest reaching out to the Local Service API support team, as they are better equipped to address your concern. 2A. You mentioned trying the local_services_lead_contact_details field but only getting "Not Set value." This might indicate a misconfiguration or an issue with the data availability in that field. If you have the local_services_lead_contact_details data available but are not getting it while performing the local_services_lead service through the API. Please provide the complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end along with the uncropped UI screenshot to better assist you on this request. If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag. Issue with Local Services Ads API and the deprecation of LSA's Detailed lead Report to Google Ads API
Hey there, We just found out that the <https://developers.google.com/local-services-ads/guides/reporting#detailed-lead-reports>main data table <https://developers.google.com/local-services-ads/guides/reporting#detailed-lead-reports> we were leveraging from the LSA API was deprecated and has now been migrated to the Google Ads API. We have a couple of questions related to this migration as some of the Fields which we were leveraging for our client reporting on the deprecated table (the Detailed Lead Table from the LSA API <https://developers.google.com/local-services-ads/guides/reporting#detailed-lead-reports>) are not available on the Google Ads API. 1. Is the Detailed Lead Reports <https://developers.google.com/local-services-ads/guides/reporting#detailed-lead-reports>table going to be completely deprecated? Currently, it is still returning data and we were wondering if this is going to be maintained for the foreseeable future? And if not when is it going to be deprecated? 2. The *consumerPhoneNumber *field from the Detailed Lead Reports <https://developers.google.com/local-services-ads/guides/reporting#detailed-lead-reports>: we haven't managed to retrieve this field on the Google Ads API tables, any suggestions on where we can retrieve this information on the Google Ads API? We were guessing the field local_services_lead_contact_details from the local_services_lead table could possibly be storing this info but it is only returning "Not Set value" This information is key to our clients' reporting and the set of Dashboards we provide to our clients. As of today, the field is still available on the "deprecated" Detailed Lead Report table and we are considering using this to reinstate our data infrastructure. Any suggestion on how we should approach this? Looking forward to your reply! Re: clarification on search volume data with standard access to google ads api
Hi, Thank you for the detailed response. Regarding the query, as per my understanding, when I run the Basic Access API to get Keywords Search Volumes, I receive search volume data like this: - *Home Loan - 90,500* - *Calculating Home Loan - 673,000* - *Home Loan Interest Rates - 201,000* I have also attached a screenshot of the data for your reference. Could you please confirm if these numbers represent *exact search volumes* or if they are *estimates in ranges*? [image: Screenshot_17.png] Thank you for your assistance. RE: need help in creating a report with placement type using google ads api
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. Yes, using the below query formed with the group_placement_view resource returns the results in a more detailed way by providing the metrics details at the groupPlacementView level. "SELECT ad_group.name, group_placement_view.placement_type, metrics.impressions FROM group_placement_view" So, I can confirm that it is not possible to fetch the data, as you see in the UI, via the Google Ads API using the group_placement_view resource. So, to achieve the result you see in the UI, it may require some additional processing on your side. I hope this clarifies. RE: issue with creating camp display upload ad in google ads api v14 - python
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. I understand that you've encountered the error "MUTATE_NOT_ALLOWED " when trying to create a display upload ad. Could you please confirm if the recommended format / specifications for the HTML_5_UPLOAD_AD's media_bundle, discussed here, was applied prior to using it for creating the said ad? I could see that you are using the 'v14' which is deprecated and about sunset on the 5 June 2024. After this date, all v14 API requests will begin to fail. I would recommend migrating to the latest version v16 and you may follow this link to Upgrade to the latest version. Please note that provided sample code is not sufficient to investigate the issue further. To replicate the issue from our end, provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end. Since you are using a Python client library, I would request you to enable logging for the Python client library that you are using. You can refer to the guide Python to enable logging at your end. I have the same issue: no response to the basic API access application that I sent more than 2 weeks ago. This makes sure that the headers are correct. The only issue that I am facing is that product link invitation is giving an empty response. If there is a way to get the request id for a 200 response code please let me know I cannot see any request-id unless the request fails. If i try to get $response->requestId or $response->getRequestId() It gives me errors like requestId does not exist or getRequestId() is not a function Is there a way to fastrack this? RE: google ads api developer token protection in desktop app environment
Hi Yao, Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team. The Google Ads API does support deploying your application on customers' machines. It is important to take appropriate security measures to protect your developer token and ensure compliance with our policies. To mitigate the risk of your developer token being leaked or compromised, consider using OAuth 2.0 authorization. OAuth allows you to access user data without storing their credentials on your server. OAuth allows users to grant your application access to their Google Ads account without sharing their credentials. This reduces the risk of your developer token being compromised. Let us know if you have any further queries. Google Ads API Developer Token Protection in Desktop App Environment
Dear Google Ads API Team, I am currently developing an application that utilizes the Google Ads API for our customers. I want to seek clarification and guidance on a matter regarding the security of our own developer token. Our application is being designed both for cloud and desktop app environment, and the desktop environment means the app would be deployed directly onto the customers' machines. This raises a considerable security concern, as there is a potential risk of our developer token being leaked or compromised. Therefore, I would appreciate some advice or answers on the following: 1. Is our use case scenario, where the application with our developer token is deployed on the customer's machine, supported or suggested by the Google Ads API? 2. If it is, what measures or protections can we take or what best practices can we follow to ensure the maximum security of our developer token? Google Ads API Product Link Invitation Reference
Hi, I am trying to use the Google AdWords API to accept invitations sent from the YouTube Account. I have already set up the connection. Using the PHP library for V16: https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/ I am using this with Laravel I sent a get request to get the list of product invitation links, but I am receiving an empty array. I could successfully fetch campaigns from Google ads. /// This works well / public function getAllCampaigns($customerId) { $googleAdsServiceClient = $this->client->getGoogleAdsServiceClient(); $query = ' SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign ORDER BY campaign.id '; $stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream( SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query) ); $allCampaigns = []; foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) { $allCampaigns[] = [ 'campaign_id' => $row->getCampaign()->getId(), 'campaign_name' => $row->getCampaign()->getName() ]; } return $allCampaigns; } / This does not work / public function listPendingYoutubeLinkInvitations($customerId) { $googleAdsServiceClient = $this->client-> getGoogleAdsServiceClient(); $query = ' SELECT product_link_invitation.status, product_link_invitation.type, product_link_invitation.product_link_invitation_id, product_link_invitation.resource_name FROM product_link_invitation '; $stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream( SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query) ); $invitations = []; foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) { $invitations[] = $row->getProductLink(); } return $invitations; } I have also tried listing customer_client_invitation and customer_invitation Everything just gives me an empty array []. RE: customer match list with google ads api is not exposed in interface
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. Kindly note that the user list sizes are showing as zero because, for privacy reasons the list size is displayed as zero until it has at least 1,000 members. Once it reaches this threshold, the size is rounded to the two most significant digits. You can find more information in this guide. Upon reviewing your Google Ads account (4338086288), it appears the user list size for the audience segment (8661663568) is less than 100. As mentioned earlier, you need to upload at least 1,000 members for the size to be displayed in the Google Ads UI. Would the Google Ads API also help with OCT
We currently have a semi-manual process for OCT. I use the upload function in Google ads to upload the new GCLIDs (try to do it daily, sometimes it's a bit longer). By doing this i often get errors which makes sense because the old rows are also in the spreadsheet and google says he already has those ID's. Could the Google Ads API also help with that process? Meaning I can integrate it through there (e.g. send the GCLID data to the API which then uploads it for me) Hope it's clear... -- -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog: https://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/ =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum" group.
