Ads API or UI?

I would like to recommend you to refer to this document PaymentsAccountInfo and 
help center article Manage Ads account billing setup from your manager account 
for more information.

In order to investigate the issue further, provide us with the updated complete 
API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at 
your end to assist you better.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would 
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are 
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to 
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging 
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

I understand that the list_accessible_customers function is taking too long to 
obtain the complete tree. A large inheritance hierarchy can definitely 
contribute to slow loading times when retrieving the entire account structure 
using the Google Ads API because the API call needs to traverse each node in 
the hierarchy, and the more levels there are, the longer it takes to process 
the request.

I need to obtain the entire inheritance tree of my accounts accessible from 
Google Ads, I am using the python client library, to obtain the accessible 
accounts I am using the "list_accessible_customers" function of 
"CustomerService" and for the inheritance tree the example function that It 
is included with the client library documentation. The problem lies in the 
waiting time, one of my accessible accounts is quite extensive and takes 
too long to obtain the complete tree. What do you recommend to reduce the 
data loading time? I was reviewing a system that does the same thing and 
loads the entire inheritance tree of my accounts in just 2.8s while my 
minimum implementation takes about 1 hour.

instructions for using a new / existing payments account, in this Billing 
Setup? Kindly note that, available payment accounts depend on the 
authenticating user. You can use the PaymentsAccountService 
ListPaymentsAccounts methods to see which are available.

If you are still facing the issue, please provide us with the complete API logs

screenshots to further investigate this issue.

from google ads and it takes a long time and in many cases it ends up 
throwing api connection errors. What do you recommend or what good 
practices do you suggest? I am using the python client library.

afaik, google doesn't support deleting accounts; however, you can change 
the budget to 0 and delete all campaigns.

I need to get the expenses of an account from a specific date and time to 
the current date and time for example: from 2022-08-01 8:30:00 to 
2023-07-20 16:00:00.  I know how to filter it only on a range of dates but 
I need to specify the time as well.

response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end when you 
weren't able to get the asset data so we can better investigate this and can 
provide precise recommendations to you?

With regards to your concern, you mentioned that you encountered the 
OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CAMPAIGN_TYPE error which means that the said 
operation is not permitted on this campaign type. Also note that as per this 
guide, for manualCpm, when using this bidding scheme with Search campaigns 
results in OperationAccessDeniedError.OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CAMPAIGN_TYPE.

For further investigation, can you provide the complete request and response 
logs with request ID and request header generated on your end? You may then 
send the requested logs via the Reply privately to author option. If this 
option is not available, you may send the details directly to our

offer to CONVERSIONS I get the error

With regards to your concern, It appears that you have encountered the 
quota_error: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED, it means that a system frequency limit has 
been exceeded. Kindly prevent sending too many requests in a short period of 
time and also ensure to set up short delays between requests or combine more 
operations in fewer requests. You can check this documentation for more details.

Please also consider that the Google Ads API enforces limits on API operations, 
such as the number of operations that can be sent in a single request; kindly 
check this documentation to see the API Limits and Quotas.

If the issue still persists, you may provide it to us with the updated complete 
API logs (request and response with request-id) generated on your end so that 
our team can further validate if the request done correctly.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author 
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to 
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Upon checking your concern, it appears that you encountered the 
CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION error that occurs due to multiple processes that are 
trying to update the same entity at the same time. This also includes updating 
the entity in Google Ads UI while updating via the API as well. With that being 
said, we recommend waiting for about 30 seconds, then retry the request via API 
to avoid the CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION error.

With this, you’ll need to ensure that only one operation is performed against 
an entity at each moment and slow down on the consolidated repeated mutates 
against the same entity into a single request to avoid this issue altogether. 
You may try and let us know if you have other concerns.

This is Carmela from the Google Ads API. Thank you for reaching out.

With regard to your concern, I've replicated your query on my end and I also 
got an empty result. Then, I've tried removing the segments in your query and I 
already got results. Having said that, as per this documentation, kindly note 
that when adding some segments, the metrics in the summary row may decrease. It 
says here that for example:

When segments.keyword.info.match_type is added to a query with FROM 
ad_group_ad, that segment is telling the query to only get the rows of data 
that have keywords, and remove any row that is not associated with a keyword. 
In this case, the metrics would be lower because it would exclude any 
non-keyword metrics.

Yes, the same developer token can be used with another MCC or multiple MCC's 
which are not linked to the first MCC. That being said, you’ll need only to 
authenticate API requests with OAuth2 credentials using the email with the 
appropriate access to the accounts (customer_id) you will specify in your 
requests. Please make sure you use the correct login-customer-id that you used 
to generate the OAuth2 credentials.

You may note that the developer token does not dictate if a user can access 
Google Ads accounts. It is via the OAuth2 credentials that accounts are 
accessed (get or manage data). Please make sure as well that you use the 
correct login-customer-id. You will need to specify the MCC / manager account 
ID if the user / email address used to generate the OAuth2 credentials is 
associated with the MCC / manager account.

Hello,

If you would like to restrict change event to only returning changes to a 
particular entity type, you can specify a filter on the change_resource_type 
field. Similarly, if you want to know what type of entity was changed for a 
particular row, you should fetch the change_resource_type field. You should not 
rely on the presence/absence of different resource names to determine which 
entity type was changed.

No, I am aware of this, and I am using this API since long.
Hierarchy means "You can retrieve the list of all changes for all resource 
types. The returned resource_type

 is 
the field that changed. Any parent fields are also populated. For example, 
if the ad_group_criterion 
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v7/ChangeStatus#ad_group_criterion>
 changed, 
then the ad_group 
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v7/ChangeStatus#ad_group>
 field 
will also be populated."

That means If we do ad_group_criterion 
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v7/ChangeStatus#ad_group_criterion>
  
changes it will also return as ad_group change which is duplicate since We 
ahve not done any changes to ad_group.

This case has been escalated to me.

As I mentioned on the other thread, the change status in the Google Ads API is 
more complete than the Change History in the web interface, and includes for 
example changes that are made automatically by Google backend systems.

If this doesn't explain your concern, then please outline what remains to be 
explained so that I can make sure I take a close look at exactly what's still 
problematic.

using GetChangeDetails.php from the Github almost as is.   The only change 
is an extra option to $googleAdsClient as we are accessing our client's 
adwords account from a manager account.

Yes, I would also able to manage it. But I have issue. Like 
GetChangeDetails.php is providing response in hirerchy.

So in some case we have not changes parent entity but it would still return.

Based on my email back and forth with the API team, we've isolated some of 
the count I am not seeing are related to video campaigns which changes are 
not tracked by the API.  I am able to get an accurate count 
with GetChangeDetails.php for the activity in the last week, so it does 
work to some extent.  But for the month, there are a lot missing, and it 
will probably take time and effort to isolate what changes are not 
tracked.  All in all, at this point I don't think the API could provide 
what we are looking for which is the count of "All Changes" in the 
ads.google.com UI.

Thanks for posting your concern.

With regard to you question, the developer token will not be blocked when it 
reached the limit of API calls per day. However, after it reached the limit, 
the proceeding calls will encounter the RateExceededError and you need to wait 
until the next day in order to make a call again.

In my adwords account there is no option to the left "AdWords API Center". 

I think I have lost in some previous step.

It appears that this account is an AdWords Express account, which I do not 
believe is accessible through the API. Please try following the same steps 
you tried but using a regular AdWords account to see if that resolves the

suggests that there could be no link between the client account and the MCC 
account, or that your OAuth2 credentials do not match the clientCustomerId. 
For the first scenario, you may use the GetAccountHierarchy 
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201609/AccountManagement/GetAccountHierarchy.php>
 example 
(while using the MCC account ID as the value for the *clientCustomerId*) to 
check which client accounts are associated to your MCC. 

For the second scenario, could you confirm if you used the same email 
associated to your MCC account to generate your OAuth2 credentials? If no, 
then I would recommend that you recreate your credentials 
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/authentication> while 
logged in to the email account associated to your MCC. I hope this helps 
and please let me know if the issue persists.

The succeeding replies were done in private but the solution suggests 
explicitly adding/importing the Report classes into your code, and I quote :

"*..if you explicitly include ReportClasses.php, will it resolve the issue?*
*For example, putting below line in your code:*
*App::import( 'Vendor', ADWORDS_UTIL_PATH . '/ReportUtils.php');*"

There was no more response from the user after this reply by support. Let 
me know if this works.
