Re: Local Ads Data Missing in Gender/ Age View API Endpoints

2022-02-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Sanjay,

I work with Ernie and will assist you. The API can only be a conduit for the
ads product as expressed in the UI. If it isn't available in the UI then
chances are it isn't available in the API. You may reach out to product support
for assistance and requests.

Regards,

Aryeh

Re: Local Ads Data Missing in Gender/ Age View API Endpoints

2022-02-17 Thread SANJAY SRINIVAAS M R
Hi Ernie,

I went to the Google Ads web interface to the Audience tab to check if I
need to turn some kind of targeting for getting Age reports for my Local
Ads. I found out that none of my Local campaigns are showing up in the edit
demographics tab. Does this mean that Google Ads doesn't support targeting
gender/age in Local Ads? Is there anyway to turn on at least reporting
feature for these split ups in the interface for Local Ads. If this kind of
*Local
Ads* Gender/Age reporting is currently not available in Google Ads could
you let me know if and when this feature will be added as this information
is paramount for our internal analysis. Thanks for your help and have great
day!

Best,
Sanjay

Hi Ernie,

I am certain that that all the metrics for my Local adgroups will not be
Zero all days of last year. Just to check I ran the call to the Adgroup
endpoint for my local ads and received the required data. I don't
understand how the total adgroup level data could exist but while
retrieving it split up by Age or Gender from Age/ Gender View we could
receive all Nulls. I am privately attaching the log for the call I ran from
Adgroup endpoint for your reference.Thanks!

Local Ads Data Missing in Gender/ Age View API Endpoints

2022-02-14 Thread SANJAY SRINIVAAS M R
Hi, I have been extracting Adgroup Metrics from the Gender View using API.
I am able to get data for the Search Campaign Type Ad groups but no data
comes through for Ad groups of Local type. Can you please clarify on this
issue.

This is the query I am using
{
"query" : "select campaign.advertising_channel_type,metrics.average_cpc,
metrics.clicks,metrics.ctr, metrics.impressions, metrics.cost_micros,
ad_group.name, campaign.name, ad_group.id, campaign.id,
campaign.optimization_score,segments.date ,ad_group_criterion.gender.type
FROM gender_view where segments.date BETWEEN '2021-01-01' AND '2022-02-02'"
}
