RE: ads api call error

2024-04-02 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I could see that you are encountering the 'insufficient_scope' error.

Could you please provide confirmation on the below questions:

Are you encountering the scope error only with the generateKeywordIdeas or any
other requests too?
Have you considered the Authorization scope before making the request?
While generating the Oauth credentials, have you included the scope for the
project.

In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at
your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Hi Prabhu,

Thank you for getting back to us.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you want to retrieve the number of
purchases from the campaign resource via Google Ads API. Please note that the
number of purchases data from the campaign resource is not yet supported in the
Google Ads API.

I will raise a request to add this feature to be available in the Google Ads
API. We cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this
feature in the Google Ads API. I would recommend you please follow our Release

Re: ads api - get number of purchse

2023-11-21 Thread Prabhu Palanisamy
Thank you! I can able to retrieve the purchase data now.

Query: select
metrics.all_conversions_value,
segments.conversion_action_category,
metrics.all_conversions,
from customer WHERE segments.date >= '2023-11-01' AND segments.date <=
'2023-11-06' AND segments.conversion_action_category = 'PURCHASE'

here, *all_conversions* gives the total number of purchases.

RE: ads api - get number of purchse

2023-11-16 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your query, I understand that you are trying to fetch the number
of purchases through the API.

In order to investigate your issue, kindly provide us with the uncropped UI
screenshot of the Google Ads account with visible customer-id and complete API
logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

Re: Ads API occasional errors without error message

2023-04-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Willy,

Thank you for getting back to us.

The 403 Forbidden error is an HTTP status code which means that accessing the
page or resource you were trying to reach is absolutely forbidden for some
reason. And since the issue is not reproducible on our end, and that you are
utilizing the php client library, we would highly recommend reaching out to the
client library owner through this link
(https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/issues) as they can provide more
input on why you are encountering the said error.

If the above does not suffice to resolve your issue, kindly provide the
mentioned complete gRPC log, and we will raise it to the rest of our team for
further investigation.

Regards,

Google Ads API Team

Re: Ads API occasional errors without error message

2023-04-17 Thread Willy Bahuaud
Thank you for your feedback!
In the previous message, it was indeed a complete log, including the
request, but unfortunately, there was neither a response nor a request ID
because the request seems to be directly rejected by the API (hence the
gRPC error code 14 and the 403 Forbidden error, I suppose). I followed the
PHP Logging guide properly, and I don't have any more details in the log
file, which I am still attaching (where you will see that the request goes
through sometimes, but not always). Do you also want the complete gRPC log
(which is very detailed)?

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Are you able to provide us the complete API logs (request and response with
request-id) as we have mentioned previously? You may check on these respective
links on what these logs look like. This is so we can check better and
investigate further on the issue you encountered. For the PHP client library,
logging can be enabled by following the PHP Logging guide.

You can provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is
not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

When the error occurs, I don't get a requestID because the gRPC log
indicates "Status code: 14 Details: failed to connect to all addresses".
The customer Id is 5918386111.

Here is the complete request as declared in PHP (using the PHP library):

fromFile()->build();
$googleAdsClient = (new GoogleAdsClientBuilder())
->fromFile()
->withOAuth2Credential($oAuth2Credential)
->build();

$keyword = 'avion';
$keywordPlanIdeaServiceClient =
$googleAdsClient->getKeywordPlanIdeaServiceClient();
$locationIds = [ 2250 ]; // France
$geoTargetConstants =  array_map(function ($locationId) {
return ResourceNames::forGeoTargetConstant($locationId);
}, $locationIds);
$requestOptionalArgs = [];
$requestOptionalArgs['keywordSeed'] = new KeywordSeed(['keywords' =>
[$keywords]]);
$response = $keywordPlanIdeaServiceClient->generateKeywordIdeas(
[
'language'   => ResourceNames::forLanguageConstant( 1002 ), //
French
'customerId' => $customerId,
'geoTargetConstants' => $geoTargetConstants,
'keywordPlanNetwork' => KeywordPlanNetwork::GOOGLE_SEARCH,
'keywordSeed'=> new KeywordSeed(['keywords' => [$keyword]]),
'retrySettings'  => [
'retriesEnabled' => false,
]
]
);

And here is an excerpt from the gRPC error log:

And if I try the same request again twenty minutes later, it may or may not

RE: Ads API occasional errors without error message

2023-04-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Willy,

Thank you for raising this to us.

Since you mentioned that the behavior occurs occasionally, could you
confirm/provide the following?

Percentage occurrences of the said error response
Is the error reliably reproducible?

If so, Provide the complete API request and response logs with request-id and
login-customer-id that are generated on your end
If not, could you confirm if submitting the same request goes through after
some time? (for example, pausing at least 5 to 10 seconds before submitting the
same request again)

Re: Ads API Not Returning All Recommendations

2023-04-11 Thread sealytic...@gmail.com
Hello,

I sent logs and screenshot privately.

I added the request to fetch all recommendations. I dismissed all of them.
Then I checked on Ads UI and there are still recommendations there.

RE: Ads API Not Returning All Recommendations

2023-04-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Welcome to Google Ads API support team. Thank you for reaching out to us.

For us to have a clear illustration and understanding on the issue, kindly
provide to us the complete request and response logs with request ID and
request header generated on your end along with the uncropped screenshots of
the data you want to retrieve in UI.

Note that these logs can be requested or provided to the developer handling the
Google Ads API transactions when logging of the API requests has been enabled.
You may check in client library logging and click your client library for the
specific guideline to enable it.

For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by
using the -i flag. This will cause the tool to include the HTTP response
headers in the output.

Links to the highlighted words above:

request -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/field-service#request
response -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/field-service#response

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/call-structure#request_headers
client library logging -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/best-practices/logging#client_library_logging

You may send this privately via "Reply to Author" option. If that option is not
available to you, you may directly send it to this alias
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

RE: Ads API integration issue - Production impact

2023-02-03 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Support.

I had to delete your post as I can see that the developer token got exposed.
Kindly refrain from posting such details on the forum. I highly suggest
resetting your developer token since it got exposed publicly. A reset will
immediately invalidate your previous token, so any API requests using the old
token will fail. However, a reset will not trigger a re-review and approval for
the new developer token. You can start using the new developer token
immediately.

Here’s the below redacted forum concern for reference:

“Hi Team,

I'm a TAM on the Google Cloud SF Enterprise Team. My Google Cloud Customer
Mixpanel is having a production issue related to their integration with thee
Ads API.

TL;DR is that they were relying on the AdWords API to sync cohorts from
Mixpanel to Google Ads and that endpoint is no longer functioning. While trying
to migrate from the old AdWords API to the latest Google Ads API (as
recommended here), Mixpanel has run into an issue.This has production impact
for them: customers that were using the Google Ads integration Mixpanel offers
to sync their cohorts to Google Ads haven’t been able to do starting Jan 15th
or so.

Mixpanel's Customer ID: 247-586-0313

Please let me know what's the best possible avenue to resolve this.”

However, for us to investigate errors you are encountering using the new Google
Ads API, could you please provide us the complete logs in the format of the
request and response logs along with request-id as seen in their respective
links?

In addition, we recommend enabling logging to capture complete details if any
error occurs by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex
Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

You may send the complete logs via reply privately to author option.

2022-12-23 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

If you are looking to pull the metrics data for Responsive display ad using
ad_group_ad_asset_view, then you may note that this report does not support
pulling responsive display ads related assets data. For your question on the
service to pull the reports, you may need to use GoogleAdsService.

If you are not looking to pull Responsive display ad, then for us to provide
the accurate report that you are trying to pull using Google Ads API, Could you
please provide us with a screenshot of the whole Ads UI where we can see metric
data of the related ad's assets (headline, description or image) in the ad
group.in the Ads UI? Please provide a screenshot without cropping, and CID can
be seen clearly via reply privately to author option.

Hi Chenai,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API support team.

To answer your concern and questions in general, upon checking your logs
provided. It appears that you have encountered IMMUTABLE_FIELD error. please
note that starting August 22, 2022, the include_in_conversions_metric field of
the ConversionAction resource will become read-only. Requests that attempt to
set this value will result in a FieldError.IMMUTABLE_FIELD error. In order to
address this, you may refer to this blog post. Let me know if you have further

Hey,
We are facing same issue, The calls are taking 1 hr. and after that are
returning 502 Bad Gateway error. Is there any update?
One thing I have observed is this error is happening at same time across
multiple calls. i.e at particular time all calls made end up returning Bad
Gateway (502).

RE: Ads API call takes an hour and fails with bad gateway

2022-08-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Sophie,

Thank you for reaching us out. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API support team. I
hope that you are doing well today.

Moving forward to your concern, there could be many possible reasons why you
are getting this kind of 502 gateway error. For us to further investigate,
could you please provide us the complete request and response logs with request
ID and request header generated on your end? You can provide it via Reply
privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it
instead on this email address googleadsapi-supp...@google.com. If you haven't
enabled the logging yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you
can access from this link. Please include also the customer-id as this is
important for us to investigate the issue.

Add to that, please check the network traffic when you are getting that error
because the network fluctuation could also cause that error.

Kind regards,

Sherwin Vincent

RE: Ads API Quota Limitations

2022-05-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Mihai,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Kindly note that the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error generally occurs when you are
sending too many requests in a short period of time. The server throws this
error once it detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency
limit. I would recommend setting up short delays between requests or combine
more operations in fewer requests. Please refer to the Best practices guide to
optimize the efficiency and performance.

Could you please provide the complete request and response logs, with the
request-id, generated for the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error in order to check
further. You can enable logging, which you may do so by navigating to the
Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation,
which you can access from this link for example if you're using our client
libraries on this.

You can provide it via Reply privately to the author option. If this option is
not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API support team.

With regard to your concern as for the video Ads, I am afraid that create

supported in the Google Ads API and I can refer you to this document. Let me

Hi Jean,

Yes, the AdWords API is deprecated and will be sunset on April 27, 2022 . As
for the next version, we are still not aware of the exact date when it will be
available. Currently, we only have this documentation regarding release
schedules. That said, you may also continue to follow our blog for more updates

2022-04-01 Thread Jean-Fabrice Rabaute
Thanks for keeping us posted on this.

One question about the deprecation of the old Google Adwords API. It is
scheduled for April 27. Will the v10.1 be available before this date?
That is blocking our migration to the new Google Ads API right now.

Thank you.

Re: [ADS API v9] Metrics (cost per click) from Keyword Plan Ad Group Keywords

2022-02-08 Thread Aqeel Ashraf
Hi,

I am having the same issue. In Old AdWords API, CPC values are far
different then in New Google Ads API. I am using GenerateForecastMetrics
example and update values as stated below:

*Keywords:*
garde meuble paris
location stockage paris
location garde meuble paris

*Location:* France
*Language:* French
*Match Type:* Exact

*Result:*
*
  AdWords API Google Ads API *
*KEYWORDS   CPC  -  CLICKS
 CPC  -   CLICKS*
garde meuble paris  50.08 -283.5
   3.56 -   204.64
location stockage paris   43.21 -  39.6
   3.84 - 30.12
location garde meuble paris   52.77 -  29.1
   3.80 - 23.2

Please have a look on the above difference and let me know if anything I
did wrong. Thanks

2021-12-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Lasse,

Thank you for providing updates to our team.

To further investigate the issue, could you provide the following details?

Sample comparison where we can see the issue about data discrepancies
Complete SOAP request and response logs generated in the AdWords API
Complete request and response logs with request ID and request header generated
on your end for Google Ads API

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address

Also, could you try comparing the results of the 2 APIs in the UI? I said this
because the data that Google Ads API returns is more similar with what is in
the UI.

Re: [ADS API v9] Metrics (cost per click) from Keyword Plan Ad Group Keywords

2021-12-22 Thread 'Lasse Bonner' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Peter,

Yeah, I figured.
I made it work using the forecast, but it seems that there is discrepancy
between what is returned from the old Google Adwords API and the new Google
Ads v9, for certain keywords.
I experience that keywords that have a value for cpc in the old api has no
value in the forecast metrics. In addition when the new api returns a value
it is not the same as the old api.

Best regards
Lasse

Metrics are currently not available in the keyword_plan_ad_group_keyword view.

That said, could you be instead referring to the generate forecast metrics

Re: Ads API Metrics unavailable at Geo level- TopImpressionPercentage, AbsoluteTopImpressionPercentage

2021-12-13 Thread Jean-Fabrice Rabaute
Hi,

I'm also migrating the metrics TopImpressionPercentage and
AbsoluteTopImpressionPercentage from an AWQL query using the
table ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.
It fails because the new fields are not allowed with "customer".
Is it something that is going to be migrated as well before the Adwords API
is removed?

Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As stated on the error message, the customer should have the appropriate access
in order to upload data to the target customer. You can also check this Common

Thank you for posting your concern.

I am afraid that there is no definite limit about the number of accounts that
you will process on a period of time and on the number of the concurrent

below documents:

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to our team.

It appears that the issue is more client library specific instead of the Google
Ads API. With this, I would suggest to check the configuration of your Java
client library via this link to address the issue.

Also, since the issue is client library specific, then I would suggest raising
your concern to the author of the Java client library as well via this link as
they are more equipped here.

2021-10-26 Thread Akshay Khapare
Hi,

As we know the Adwords API will be deprecated from April 2022 and so we
were moving to the new Ads API. We are currently pulling
*TopImpressionPercentage*, *AbsoluteTopImpressionPercentage* metrics at geo
level segments from Adwords API and would like to pull the same through the
newer Ads API. Could you please let us know the ETA for getting this
metrics at geo level ? Also, is there any other alternative where we can
pull similar report in an automated way.

Thanks,
Akshay

RE: Ads API Discovery

2021-08-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hello Fernando,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

So our team can better assist you, can you further elaborate on your concern
(Which HTTP may I use to discovery each call from goggle ads api)? You've
mentioned about HTTP, are you referring to REST Interface? You've also
mentioned about Discovery, are referring to Discovery Campaigns? If yes, please
note that Discovery Campaign type is still not supported in the API.

RE: Ads API - which fields are of type Money?

2021-06-20 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor
Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. The way to determine that a field is a money field is if
there is a suffix 'micros' at the end of metric's name. However, our team is
aware that some of the money fields don't have this suffix. With this, you may
keep an eye on our blog or directly in the documentation for updates on your
request regarding the faster way to identify money fields.

Re: Ads API - which fields are of type Money?

2021-06-18 Thread Mike Sullivan
Thanks to Pete and Peter for the ideas, but there are a lot of money
metrics that do not include the word 'micros' in the names or the
descriptions. As a really obvious example:
 average_cpc : "The total cost of all clicks divided by the total number of
clicks received."

The discovery document also provides no additional clues, just echoing the
description.

I also tried 'cost', but there are still the odd exceptions
like benchmark_average_max_cpc - "An indication of how other advertisers
are bidding on similar products." Obscure, I know, but it exists.

I realize there are only 120 metrics, but things change over time (API v8
already?) and it would be nice to have an automated method to determine if
a number is a micro or not...

You can solve this by using the GoogleAdsFieldService

SELECT name, category, data_type, selectable, filterable, sortable,
selectable_with, metrics, segments, is_repeated, type_url, enum_values,
attribute_resources where name like \'%micros%\'

Hi Mario,

Upon checking this migration documentation, it appears that the assisted
conversions fields have already been deprecated. This means that these fields
are no longer available in the Google Ads API's version of the report.

However, allow me to create a feature request, subject for review, so that our

Hello,

The Google Ads API is the next generation of the AdWords API, so we recommend
using the Google Ads API. The Ads API exposes both standard JSON REST endpoints
and a gRPC interface, whereas the AdWords API is a SOAP API. Although you may
not be using the AdWords API, you can find more information about changes that
were made between the two APIs in the migration guide.

Hi Puneet,

Thank you for posting your concern.

Please clarify if you want to use Google Ads API or AdWords API on retrieving
campaigns, campaign groups and ads information.

You will need to set up your API environment first and you may refer to a
specific document below:
Google Ads API -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/overview
AdWords API -
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/first-api-call

Then, you will need to be familiarized with the reporting of the said APIs and
I would recommend referring to the links below:
Google Ads API -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/reporting/overview
AdWords API - https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting

Lastly, you may specifically use the Campaign Performance Report, Campaign
Group Performance Report and Ad Performance Report if using AdWords API. As for
the Google Ads API, you may refer to this document to see the equivalent
reports of the said report types on this API.

For the client library that you will use, you should be the one to decide which

this link for AdWords API and this link for Google Ads API.

We are experiencing the same issue. We use V2 version of the API from
Python and after 1 hour the API raises RetryError with following message:

Deadline of 3600.0s exceeded while calling functools.partial( ... )

Our monitoring system has first detected this issue on 2020-07-22 7:00:00
UTC. The issue occurred multiple times for various customers. The
application is hosted on GCP and other services are working fine, so we
assume that this is not a problem of our application nor the network.
Change status itself was working fine yesterday.

you would find segments.geo_target_metro is not in the Segments list. This
means you could not use segments.geo_target_metro as a segmentation in your
