Hey Paul, it would be nice if you people in the Crystal Palace sat up and 
took notice.  Our client is willing to apply for a LIVE account once the 
SANDBOX is working and the app is proven.  Are you people that arrogant to 
just let this hang out there?  It's a simple freaking fix!!!  Why don't you 
get off your lethargic ass and do something about it?  Or is that asking 
too much of the mighty Google 'machine'?  What a joke.

The new error message is "*[AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED @ ; 
trigger:'']*".
Happens in Sandbox for TrafficEstimatorService and TargetingIdeaService 
only. Others services  are working fine .
My hunch is that the answer isn't coming  from the sandbox server  but from 
from the "Live" one.
But.. it's just a hunch.

Set an reminder somewhere ( not in Google calendar it might crash meantime 
) to check back on this in like 2-3 months.

Even Danial will probably reply in the next days it will be just another 
thing like “sandbox environment should not be queried for real data.”. 

Even the topic is straight forward.

The true is that we are talking about a problem in a sandbox ( a free test 
environment ) and in the last years Google proved me  many time that “ is 
all about the money”.

I am sure that an issue on a paid environment gets some attention as long 
as they can smell the money.

But in our case nobody will do anything.

Ewan,

Thank you so much for taking the time to test this and report on this 
thread. At least now I have confirmation I am not crazy and there is 
actually something wrong with the api sandbox. 

I would love to hear back from someone on the google team in regards to 
when we can expect this to be resolved. As Sebastian said; it is getting 
difficult to explain this delay to my client as nobody expects a google 
product to be the source of an issue.

I think that the problem Bobert is referring to is that the sandbox is 
currently not working at all for the TargetingIdeaService and 
TrafficEstimatorService; it just returns the 
error: AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @ ; trigger:''. I've just 
tried it myself and had the same result; however, when I modified the code 
to make a call to the CampaignService instead it worked fine, so it's not 
just an accidental call to the production API. The service was working fine 
a couple of weeks ago and returning the expected dummy results.

Same problem here.
I wonder how can we test our apps before pushing it live .
I have no problem in getting fake / scrambled data .but getting nothing 
or an error is a different thing.
All of us are  developing in the sandbox in the first place.
Off course we now have big delays in delivery and the client is 
not blaming "mighty" Google team is just blaming the developer.
So i assume will be a fair thing to do to place a big banner on adwords 
page saying something like "sandbox is currently dead ...we will probably 
fix it in the next 365 days"

I am aware the data produced in the sandbox is not accurate data, however 
what I am saying is that the call itself is not successful and is not 
returning any data; just that error message.

I tried with the latest api release (v201209) and PHP client library and 
still the same error:

An error has occurred: [AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @ ; trigger:''] 


This is driving me crazy. What am I missing?

Still can't get it working again. I have searched high and low but 
everything I find seems to be referring to not initializing the sandbox 
development account properly. I have followed the getting started guide 
exactly when initializing my new accounts and they still return the same 
error.

I sure hope the live environment is more stable than the sandbox...if I 
ever can finish developing in the sandbox in the first place of course.

I have been developing an application with the adwords api and initialized 
my account for use in the sandbox as the instructions describe in the 
getting started guide

and everything was working good for about 2 weeks.

Without modifying anything I started to receive the following error when 
making EstimateKeywordTraffic requests:

An error has occurred: [AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @ ; trigger:'']
