NONE of their accounts matched seems doubtful.

Our understanding is that the Store Direct Conversion Tracker automatically
associates with a campaign unless we are missing a step.

Can you tell me what we're doing wrong or if we missed another step? Is
there a way to retrieve these in the API (that aren't available in the UI).

We are posting here because we believe it's going to take a technical
Google Developer to answer these questions. I am also happy to have a phone
chat if this isn't the best way. Please let me know.

Unable to switch to Manual CPC BS when using view through conversions

Hello,

While attempting to switch a campaign from Target CPA to Manual CPC through 
the Adwords API this error is returned:

BiddingErrors.NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_VIEW_THROUGH_CONVERSION_OPTIMIZATION 
(campaign_set_bidding_strategy) 


Firstly, why would this be the case? It seems perfectly reasonable to make 
manual bids on campaigns that implement analytics trackers. Is this an 
arbitrary restriction or simply an (small) push to have everyone use the 
automation provided by Google Ads?

Secondly, turning off 'Use view through conversions' in the Dashboard 
allows the campaigns to be bid on manually, but doesn't appear to be to be 
set via API (unless I missed it). Is it at all possible?

used for display or video ad campaigns only in sync with the web interface 
as per this <https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6270625> guide under 
section 'About view-through conversions'. Could you send across a 
screenshot of the view-through conversion for a search campaign that you 
see on the UI or send across the client customer id and Campaign id, so 
that I will be able to check further? Please *reply privately to author*.

View-through conversions mismatch between API and UI

Hi guys,

As the title states: the view-through conversion numbers are different 
between the UI and the API.
In the UI view-through conversions are also shown for Search campaigns, but 
this isn't the case for the API.

This is also reflected in their definitions:

API:

> The total number of view-through conversions. These happen when a customer 
> sees a Display network ad, then later completes a conversion on your site 
> without interacting with (e.g. clicking on) another ad.


Interface:

> “View-through conversions” occur when someone sees your ad, doesn’t 
> interact with it, then later performs a conversion action. For example, 
> someone sees a video ad but doesn’t watch long enough to have it count as a 
> view or engagement, or someone sees a search ad but doesn’t click it. If 
> that person later performs a conversion action (like making a purchase or 
> filling out a form), that would be counted as a view-through conversion.


Is this by design, or will the API/interface be updated in the (near) 
future so their definitions and numbers match?

You will be able to get ViewThroughConversions from the Campaign 
Performance Report 

 or 
using any of the reports listed under 'viewthroughconversions' in this 

 page. 
Since you are having data discrepancy on your AdWords web interface, could 
you please post the question about the discrepancy on the Community forum 
?
 
They are better equipped to handle issues related to the web interface. 

Additionally, could you also try the Campaign Performance Report from the 
API including the same fields and confirm if you are seeing data 
discrepancy between your campaign tab and the API report? If that is the 
case, please *Reply privately to author* and share your client id, the report 
definition 

 and 
a copy of the downloaded API report.

That did not format correctly. The final column showed this. There is a row 
with 24 view through conversions which is not showing in the AdWords UI. Is

Count of View through conversions in the API response does not match the UI

Hi, 

Our team is having trouble interpreting the view through conversions. For a 
single day date range (11/29/2012) for one of our accounts, the UI shows 2 
view-through conversions. However when we request the same date range via 
API we get 26 view through conversions. All other metrics are matching the 
UI, e.g. cost and other conversion counts. How do we make the API response 
match the UI for view through conversions?

API response below, the top line doesn't match any records in the UI.

the Conversions being counted by day of order or day of view?" 

Example:  If we pull VTC's for 2012-05-13 and see that we recorded a total 
of 200 VTC's, does that tell us that 200 orders that happened on 2012-05-13 
can be attributed to a view that happened within the given conversion 
window or does that tell us that 200 conversions have happened from 200 
ad's viewed on 2012-05-13?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi all,

I need an additional column, View-Through Conversions, in my Keyword report. 
Is it possible to get the VTC data with v13 API?

My code looks like this:

I tried to add "ViewThroughConversions", but always getting an error that 
some of the parameters are not correct. However, when I remove the VTC 
column, everything works fine.

P.S. I'm using C#.
