2018-10-23 Thread Steve Jones
I went to that cambium small town smart city thing (was just me and some
guy from a school district, I felt bad for cadmium) finally looked at the
cnpilot stuff, I liked it for tv parks, seems to meet your needs.
I told the cambium guy I wanted a free one, he said if I emailed him he'd
get me one. I haven't heard back. But then again, I'm creepy in person so
people tell me what I want to hear to get away from me.

Re: [AFMUG] OT - Vote!

2018-10-23 Thread Steve Jones
If you do have that role, probably not a good joke on a public list in this
climate.

Just got the early voting mailer with instructions and envelope from our
governor, but I'm lazy so I'm waiting for his opponents guys to show up
with my prefilled ballot.

I don't like the idea of early voting anyway, I won't know til a week
before who raped somebody decades ago, or called their neighbor a curr 20
years ago. I'd hate to cast an early vote and find out my guy didn't do
anything nefarious.

Hitching the old lady this year screwed everything up with the name change
and social security name change. She has to 're register and vote that day.

She asked me who to vote for. I told her not to vote

Please let me know if you got them there, as we're trying to determine if
this type of thing is a 'ticketing system didn't send the message' or 'spam

[AFMUG] hotspot

2018-10-23 Thread Keith Fletcher
What's a good solution for RV park paid wifi HotSpots?

We currently use UniFi through the park, with HSNM on a MikroTik EDGE
router, and paypal as the payment option. I am NOT loving HSNM. Any other
known good options?

Our county is 100% absentee now. Same process anyway. The
permanent absentee gives us several weeks to get it done. Lots of
ways to deliver the ballot. Postal mail (free), at any polling
place, at any of numerous ballot drop-off places, or you can even
deliver your ballot in person at the registrar's office.

LOL, for some reason I don't believe my part of Rockford will ever see it.
Maybe I'm wrong, but meh. There isn't much more money to be squeezed out of
'middle class' neighborhoods like mine ;). They will find it's a complete
pain in the ass in Chicago/suburbs to manage, and then they will promptly
give up on Illinois.
